What happened in Turkish football today? 12/05/2020
Another worker has got positive test from Covid19 at Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce has announced that another staff member, following this week Covid 19 tests has got positive result and hence has become 2nd worker in the club following one of the workers getting positive test last week.
As could be seen, as soon as club's started resuming training session and going through planned Covid19 tests, we are start seeing some positive outcomes which does raise once again if current situation is suitable to be restarting season which is planned to be exactly one month away. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce has stated that staff member as it seems to be case in such condition would be going through 14-day quarentine at his home. Due of this, Fenerbahce players would continue their training session at home for expected precaution reason.
Even through numbers are not very high, it is visible that Fenerbahce being among clubs which been affected most with positive results since virus arrived to Turkey on March.
Turkish Handball Federation also suspended its tournaments.
As, Turkish Handball Federation has also joined among organisation to cancel its tournaments among basketball and volleyball in country, it is expected that Turkish Football Federation would be restarting their tournaments exactly after 1 month.
Argument that football is being different from basketball, volleyball and basketball as more money seems to be turning around it due of economical aspects by itself makes it clear that TFF decision for continuing league is not related to health issues as other sports are competed in same country and hence is being same. Once again, drop of daily new cases in country and double amount of recoveries is without doubt being very pleasant news for Turkey and provides strong optimism for future in fight against Covid19,it makes clear that its not entirely healthy to continue league with football nature being contact sport and therefore once again role of Turkish government, healthy minister and science committee should be, and its expected it would, to go through healthy risk and make final decision for resuming league in country.
If other sports branches does suspend leagues then it means its not entirely safest environment to play sports in country.
Money comes first right now at football community.
Some of the Super League clubs, especially on top of the table, want for league to be resumed purely for economical reasons and willing to risk their own players for sure.
Turkish clubs as been known for long time, mainly due of making mistakes, has been at huge economical poor situation and ending season would provide high amount of cash in its disposal with aiming to move forward. Sadly, as been noted beforehand, earlier statements of health comes first does move with some clubs into thinking of money comes first when economical situation, however if things would be going wrong their would be ones to be paying circumstances for this. Therefore, as been noted about government, health minister and science committee has high role to analyse situation in much strong analysed manner with health coming first to decide if leagues should be resumed or not.
Clubs are willing to get money for ending season and does put health into 2nd role right now unfortunately
