What happened in Turkish football today? 19/05/2020

All of the Covid 19 tests has returned to be negative for Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce has announced that all of the results which have been done on 18th May has turned out to be negative and team is planning to start training session on 20th May which has been without doubt very pleasant news for the club.

Even through it needs to be noted that secureness of Covid19 pandemic in country and around world, it is been observed that following some unwanted news from last week we are seeing some pleasant news as some of the tests including for people who did get positive start returning as negative. With following news Fenerbahce would be resuming training session on 20th May with very likely with much more focus into precaution measures for virus to spread and hopefully we would not see even more unwanted developments both in club and whole world in generally.

Fenerbahce without doubt would need to start training session as for now starting date for resuming date looks to be on 12th June.

TFF will meet with Clubs Union to discuss when and how it would complete this season.

Stating that it is not for certain if starting date for Super League would be on 12th June, as TFF and Clubs Union would be having teleconference meeting on 20th May with focus about rest of the season.

With resuming of current set date with the league is left least then 4 weeks, calmness of the situation from Super League clubs is not being very optimistic with high level of worriness from those clubs without doubt and hence the ones who doesnt want to restart season would provide their arguments which our page believes are very legit. Issue here is of course would be TFF which regardless how much underlines "for now" statement, looks to be determined to restart season on 12th June with calling argument from bottom sides to stop leagues as laughing matter. In fact, "for now" statement is given as it would change date if government would call for them, and not from clubs.

Still, for this meeting to be taking place does make it clear that this issue it does take seriously. Meanwhile, it is also expected that question of playing in one or in all cities likely to be discussed too.

Besiktas would ask to move restart date of season even further.

Besiktas are being one of the clubs which is reported would be asking for leagues to be moved for further date since it would restart training session again until next week due of 8 Covid19 cases in the club.

Besiktas does have valid argument as it would mean it would only be able to train for 2 weeks and that with best scenario with not getting any other positive results from Covid19. Teams have resumed training session for now with argument that it would have training period of 4 weeks but this would be reduced to 2 for Besiktas. Only issue for Besiktas viewpoint that it would be only club and even through this page supports for idea for leagues to be at least starting date even further due of pandemic still continuing, when comming to only training for 2 weeks its being for now only club so its not strong argument.

This question would be raised on meeting tomorrow, but its unlikely that change of calendar will take place due of this factor.
