Besiktas has got an advantage draw against Partizan.
Even through Besiktas has drawn Europa League play-off round 1st leg against Partizan in Belgrade, it still has shown pretty good performance on the day and has shown signs that it can get to the group stage prior to 2nd leg game next week.
Besiktas did show during today' s game that it is not even worser than Partizan with its performance and can provide pretty dangerous attacks compare to its opponents and has created high number of the chances. But its need to be stated that compare to its last season Champions League performance is still far away but it is expected that it can reach to that level as it wont get into unwaited results from 2nd leg game. Compare to LASK Linz game during 2nd leg in Austria, it still has improved with its performance with Erzurumspor which is positive aspect for upcoming season and even more importantly for 2nd leg game. Therefore, Besikta still didnt show great performance and does provide some worrying aspects game wise, but it has got what it wanted for 2nd leg game. Meanwhile, Domadoj Vida during last few game has shown great performance which would be suitable for finalist of the World Cup as did other players at the squad.
Partizan meanwhile did show great performance and did score at 14th minute but did concede goal next minute from Tolgay Arslan. It didnt show great performance compare to Besiktas, but still got also scoreline which could provide them real chance for 2nd leg and would fight for group stage.
Besiktas has got 1:1 scoreline during away game and right now even 0:0 draw would be enough for them next week but will not get it due of strong support from fans very likely.
Al Hilal has transferred Galatasaray player Bafetembi Gomis and...
Al Hilal has announced today that it has transferred last season Galatasaray star Bafetembi Gomis for 6.5 million euro as there was some internal crises at the club and player.
It all began after last season when Gomis has asked for his salary to be raised as he has an important role for league title and has scored 29 goals. Even through their is argument that it was his job to score goals, this blog did state that Gomis is right in his terms but taking account economical situation which all clubs, including Galatasaray, it was hard for them to raise that salary. Therefore, it did look that best solution for Gomis to finding new clubs and Al Hilal was willing to pay his salary to 6.5 million euro and also 6 million euro to Galatasaray. Even through both Emre Akbaba and Henry Onyekuru does provide some signs that their could be alternative for a player, him leaving team would affect pretty negatively to the club for certain and might effect of finding key goals both at the domestically and especially at Champions League.
It would be interesting to see how Gomis leaving club would affect team unless their found strong transfer to replace him in those days.
...also transfers Fenerbahce player Josef de Souza.
Meanwhile, it needs to be stated that Al Hilal hasnt been quiet at Turkish transfer front at all as it also has finalised transfer talks with Fenerbahce player Josef de Souza.
This transfer it needs to be stated has been pretty unexpectable as Josef de Souza was playing in all games this season and also has been fitting to tactical game until now of Josef de Souza. In fact, Fenerbahce did state day before that its not interesting to sell player but with Al Hilal renewing their transfer fee it became visible that it was an offer which club could not decline. This transfer certainly would also break some tactical game at the team as Josef de Souza for many years has been a player which would be leading team in strategic performance and has been favourite among all coaches he has worked with. It would be crucial for Fenerbahce to sort out game without Josef De Souza in upcoming games and change some tactical game.
Michael Frey who was been transferred today could also be adapted to midfielding position and could take his place but it would be unusual for him.
