Fenerbahce had trouble to get upper hand of the game against Yeni Malatyaspor.
Fenerbahce didnt manage to win Yeni Malatyaspor during Super League 2nd week at the game where even through it has controlled ball and provided some game at danger area, has never been specifically dangerous to Yeni Malatyaspor.
The factors which were present during last season Fenerbahce and was criticised heavily and which were expected to be solved for this season, continue to be present as it became clear from Fenerbahce during this season. The players at the Istanbul side has been showing strong willingness at creating chances and finding them especially with Islam Slimani who even through wasnt been able to score has been visible at looking for chances but has been also willing to be at dangerous zone. But it needs to be stated that Yeni Malatyaspor has provided a game which it wanted and even when it was defending towards an end it was still visible that it was at the control of the game . Those factor once again shown problems for Fenerbahce as it would been expected from them, their should been team to control game but its been other way round. Its important to state that even through Super League is known for closed and defensive football, big teams which are fighting for league title need to show much more attacking game which Fenerbahce is failing to show with their performance.
Yeni Malatyaspor with a win has become leaders of the Super League as it stands for 18th August with finding 2 wins as their had won against Goztepe last week. Yeni Malatyaspor with realising its strength and respect to Fenerbahce has got deserved win.
Fenerbahce does provide view that it is still manage to get effective tactical game which without doubt would be an area to be focussed by Phillip Cocu until next week game.
Trabzonspor provides great performance against Sivasspor
Trabzonspor has shown very attacking performance during Super League 2nd week game against Sivasspor especially during 2nd half of the game as it has found 3 goals with help of Olcay Sahan and Hugo Rodallega.
One of the main questions during this week has been how Trabzonspor would react following pretty poor performance against Basaksehirspor during openning week as it didnt show any promising football. However, with also playing at its home ground against Sivasspor with getting support from their fans their have managed to show an attacking game and among scoring 3 goals on early stages of the game has controlled game. Stating that it needs to be stated that Sivasspor did create a great chance on 2nd minute and if it managed to score there than game would be taking in total different direction for certain. Trabzonspor performance especially from Hugo Rodallega does show that team wanted to win and this time does show that it can be providing performance which would help them fight for top spot during this season. Stating that team still has some issues and would need to continue improving as season progresses.
Trabzonspor has won its 1st game during this season with very strong and promising week and would now need to carry on this level of performance against Ankaragucu next week.
Galatasaray would play its 1st home game of this season.
After winning Ankaragucu last week Galatasaray would be meeting with Goztepe as their 1st game at the home ground and would be aiming to get a win.
With finalising its transfer of Emre Akbaba, which took them whole summer transfer window, Galatasaray would be playing its first game during this season at home ground against Goztepe against who in last week of previous season it has won league title. As would be remembered during last week game against Ankaragucu, Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim has provided drastic changes with the squad including Bafetembi Gomis, Feghouli not being included at the starting 11. Taking account that Galatasaray would be playing with tougher opponent at the game, Fatih Terim needs to be aware that he would need to introduce stronger side for the game if he wants to win game, and his reaction would show his stance against players and also importance of game. Of course, there is option to start game with last week squad and does changes as game progresses according to how game progresses.
Galatasaray did win last week but didnt show very dominant game but with taking account how side played last season at home ground it would be strong favourite against Goztepe.
