Besiktas has won against LASK Linz with single goal from Babel.
Besiktas has got a win which it was seeking for against LASK Linz with a single goal from Ryan Babel during 6th minute, but it is certain that team and supporters would feel unhappy with such a modest scoreline against pretty modest team.
It needs to be stated that when Ryan Babel has scored pretty early goal it was expected that Besiktas would get control of the game but it wasted number of the important chances during 1st half of the game and as game progressed it has lost a tempo which it has gained from 1st munutes and also compare to B36 Torshavn game. During 2nd half their wasnt many chances during 2nd half with both sides providing much more slower and do some extend controllable game which led game to end to 1:0 scoreline. Meanwhile, it was realised that the field at the Vodafone Arena was surprisingly at very poor condition which certainly has affected to both teams performance especially for Besiktas which likes to play much more attacking game. This scoreline would provide advantage to Besiktas but it would have difficult 2nd leg game for sure.
LASK Linz didnt provide much an attacking game and did provide view of being less stronger team between two but despite of that has shown good defensive game and has prevented Besiktas to go much forward during game and would look with hope for 2nd leg game.
Besiktas didnt get result which it was seeking to against not very strong opponent but still got an important goal with Ryan Babel and would need to be careful and also seeking for good scoreline against Akhisarspor during Super League 1st week game.
Basaksehirspor didnt manage to score despite of good defence game against Burnley.
Basaksehirspor has ended Europa League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game against English side with 0:0 scoreline and would be satisfied with that scoreline but in same time it didnt use strong home advantage against Burnley.
Basaksehirspor did manage to keep in control of the game and didnt allow Burnley to be very effective during game which has led them to have good chances for play-off round at the competition with both sides showing attacking game. However, it needs to be stated that Basaksehirspor has provided some chances but absence of Emmanuel Adebayor has been felt pretty strongly during game and hence it has led them not to provide very strong attacks during game. For instance, Riad Bajic didnt show very strong attacking game and has lacked to create strong chances. Still, it has created some good chances. Even through this scoreline could be seen as not very happy and also taking account how it hard to play against English sides at their homes, it still got an important advantage of away goal and even with goals draw would allow Basaksehirspor for knockout stages so therefore their are many chances for a team to look forward for 2nd leg game.
Burnley meanwhile even through did show some forward-seeking game it is hard to state that their had shown game which their seeking for with lacking to create number of attacks with organised defence from Basaksehirspor.

Reigning champions Galatasaray would be openning Super League 2018-19 season with league newcomers Ankaragucu and would mainly let the team and whole side to forget about poor performance which their had shown against Akhisarspor during Super Cup.
Galatasaray with their performance against Akhisarspor as a whole and also with specific players such as Feghouli, Gomis and Belhanda has recieved high number of criticism among team head coach Fatih Terim who was criticised for not controlling game and not making right changes as game progressed. Therefore, Galatasaray would be aiming to solve those negative performance and prove everyone including supporters, its opponents and media that their had bad day and are strong enough to fight for league title once again and also provide high level performance at Champions League. Here of the last season, Bafetembi Gomis, has especially shown dissapointing performance against Akhisarspor and he would be seeing this game without doubt as a chance to make club forgive himself. Meanwhile, Ankaragucu which has strong aims to show good performance in season which their returned to high league of the capability and starting season Galatasaray would be great opportunity to show their quality to whole Turkey.
Galatasaray are coming out as strong favourites but openning weeks are known to show some surprises and with Ankaragucu having high aims for team which is back to top division their would play game with high motivation.
