Galatasaray continues its dominance at home ground at 1st game this season.
Title holders has managed to beat Goztepe with minumum scoreline of 1:0 scoreline with providing pretty minumum performance but still has showed pretty great tactical game at the game where newly-signed transfer Emre Akbaba has played some minutes of the game.
Another important factor which happened during this game was that Galatasaray newly-signed player Henry Onyekuru has brought winning goal with very beautiful one touch shot and has showed that he would be aiming to find much more goals during game. It needs to be stated that Galatasaray has played pretty minumum and controlling game against Goztepe which didnt provide much danger to their opponents. It could be argued that Galatasaray is still not showing dominating game, but taking account that Goztepe hardly had shown much attack and failure at controlling game, it could be stated that it has achieved what it wanted and Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim which would be certainly be happy with such performance. Still Galatasaray has improved a lot from last week performance against Ankaragucu even through it has played also home ground game as it didnt lose game for 19 games. Emre Akbaba has also showed great game when he was entered to game looking for possession and really wanted to score.
Meanwhile, Goztepe even through did create some chances and has provided good performance their was not many chances which could be referred as 100% from side. For now, its only team who didnt find goal at the league and this factor which should take account from Bayram Bektas.
Galatasaray has managed to make 2 out of 2 and even through are not yet at best performance it manages to win those crucial games and obtain motivation for upcoming games.
Besiktas has won against Erzurumspor despite poor 1st half.
Besiktas has managed to get win against Super League newcomers Erzurumspor as it managed to turn around its poor performance at 1st half and also turn around its 1:0 loss to 3:1 scoreline.
Besiktas has started game pretty poorly which led for Erzurumspor to create high number of the chances during whole 1st half and Besiktas was lucky to end the half with losing with 1:0 scoreline. It was pretty visible that among not finding goals and also providing poor performance it wasnt expected for a team to get into chances. However, it was clear that whatever happened at the changing room at half time has provided huge change at the team in the sense of performance and also motivation of the team. Besiktas has started 2nd half in way how Erzurumspor was playing at 1st half with creating chances back to back and finding goal as early as on 53rd minute. Even through as half resumed Erzurumspor did manage to get more into the game, it was still visible that Besiktas had control of the game and has played precautiously and organised compare to opponents. With scoring penalty goal by Ricardo Quaresma during end of the game has led team to win game and managed to turn around game after bad 1st half.
Meanwhile, it needs to be stated that way of Erzurumspor has performance at the game and despite of losing with 3:1 scoreline it has shown a very good game and has shown positive game during 1st half without showing fear against Besiktas. With such performance it is capable to get great results against Besiktas.
Besiktas still doesnt show great performance which we used from last years but despite of that its getting wins with Alvaro Negredo also playing an important in last two games. Besiktas is winning games with not great performance which could be crucial later this season.
Phillip Cocu needs to find ways to make this more offensive.
Fenerbahce has lost Super League 2nd week game against Yeni Malatyaspor with 1:0 scoreline and not being able to show great game despite of playing at opponent half for most part of 2nd half.
Even through Fenerbahce has went through some big changes during summer time period with appointment of new CEO, head coach and sports director, it wasnt able to provide many changes so far at their performance at the field. When coming to the tactical performance and also indivudual it was visible that team is showing almost same performance as their did with Aykut Kocaman during last season. Fenerbahce has been starting season in poor forms during last seasons for last 3 years, and it has shown that in similar manner during yesterday game. Only player whose performance doesnt need much criticism is Islam Slimani who during his 1st game at the league did show some strong willingness to find goals and if he would be focussed on that he would be help to Fenerbahce. Another note is Volkan Demirel who is doing his age start showing slower reaction as he should been able to save Yeni Malatyaspor which he did in younger years. It is important to find an alternative goalkeeper for Fenerbahce if it wants to have successful season so far.
With game starting for Fenerbahce it was visible that their is not much changes for the team and it needs to find solutions to make team more effective in attacks and midfield, task for Phillip Cocu for sure.
