Besiktas expects to have calm game against B36 Torshavn at its 1st home game this season.
Besiktas would be coming out for their 1st home game during this season as it would be meeting against Faroe Islands sides B36 Torshavn at the Europa League 2nd qualifying round following 2:0 1st leg results and are expected to show confident performance.
Quite naturally, Besiktas was coming out as strong favourite during this tie as it has started earliest among Turkish teams this season and has recieved moderate scoreline at 1st leg but still showed strong dominance during game. Without disrespecting Faroe Island side, it needs to be stated that this game for Besiktas has been mainly as preparation game for upcoming season. VAR system has been explained to Turkish sports society.
Turkish Football Federation has provided an official press conference providing explanation and importance of Video-Assistance Referee(VAR) to the Super League administrators, players, media and fans identifying importance of showing calmness with system.
Even through it was identified that VAR system would be able to reduce complaints at the football and leading to be fairer game, as been proven in most of games during World Cup 2018 in Russia, it has been noted that time would be needed for all bodies to get used to the system. Therefore, their might be some cases during 1st games when system might not work at perfect manner and hence everyone should show respect and not attack to the system. This announced without doubt has been made due of the factor that high parts of society at game tends to criticise lot of referees in country and also impatience which could lead for criticism of VAR system at early stages. This blog believes that VAR has shown its valuability and fairness at World Cup 2018 at perfect manner and with done rightly and in patient manner at the Super League would be able to provide calmness at Turkish football environment if done at right manner and high patience from all bodies involved.
