Fenerbahce has managed to beat Bursaspor against organised opponent.
Fenerbahce which as known is starting this new season with new CEO and mentality has started with 2:1 win against Bursaspor at home ground at pretty tough game with Bursaspor showing strong and organised football.
It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce didnt start at the perfect way and did show some similarities which it has shown during Super League during last season which also led for Bursaspor to find goal at 17th minute. However, Fenerbahce managed to comeback from this conceding goal and with it has improved its performance and has shown some positive football with organised game. Without doubt one of the important aspects of the game has been 1st game for Baris Alici at home ground in the league and despite of the fact that he has shown some mistakes with control of game due of feeling very likely high pressure he has shown improvement. Taking account that play was giving full concentration and will to play good game he has recieved applause when being substitute. It was important for Fenerbahce to get such a key win prior to Benfica but it needs to be remembered that it cant afford to concede goal if it wants to get to the play-off round at the Champions League. Andre Ayew meanwhile didnt show great performance today without able to score some important chances but this could be done due of him being 1st game and also just being injured. He also made some mistakes and kept ball a lot.
Bursaspor meanwhile has shown some positive aspects of the game during 1st half of the game and looks to be highly organised game and does provide some improvements from last season when it was close to be relegated.
Fenerbahce has started game with an important with strong support of fans and has got an important win against difficult opponent at 1st game of the season and would now give whole focus towards Champions League 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg game against Benfica.
Galatasaray has won against Ankaragucu despite of poor performance.
Despite of the fact that title holders didnt show high level performance during openning game of 2018-19 season against Ankaragucu, it has won game with 3:1 scoreline with Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim also sending strong message to key players of the side.
As it was remembered, key players at the team Feghouli, Belhanda and Gomis has shown pretty poor performance during Super Cup game against Akhisarspor which led Terim to put all 3 players into substitute, showing players that he doesnt care about names and to be selected to the starting 11 their need to show top performance and forget about their ego. With Ankaragucu showing in their level good performance but still being in level below of Galatasaray a lot has led team to still win game. Stating that it was visible that Galatasaray are far away from high level performance with especially providing high number of mistakes during passes and not being able to control game. Blame could be thrown to the condition of the field but still Galatasaray needs to get into mood. Its hard to state yet if Galatasaray are ready to show top level performance both at league and Champions League this season but their are some worrying sides at team.
Galatasaray does have good advantage at fixture as it going to play next 2 games, starting with Goztepe, at home and got motivation and also raise of performance at this period.
Besiktas would have tough game against Super Cup winners.
Besiktas is going to start its Super League season with a tough game against Akhisarspor as their opponents are showing great performance about big teams and also with having high motivation following winning Super Cup against Galatasaray
Even through Europa League qualification is going in pretty good form for Besiktas, it needs to be stated that it didnt perform great performance against LASK Linz during 3rd qualifying round 1st leg even through the main blame has been thrown towards condition of the field. Besiktas it needs to be reminded is coming to the season with an aim to get back its league title as it saw an accident of losing title during last season and has different aims for this season. Besiktas compare to all other teams in the sense of games is at best form as their had played 3 official games until now and hence are in best focus form compare to other 17 teams at the league. However, as been stated Akhisarspor has won game against Galatasaray last week at Super Cup and hence would be aiming to show to its fans, Besiktas and all other clubs in Turkey that its win wasnt accident and as a team it is capable to fight with top teams in the country.
Besiktas would be coming out as favourite but Akhisarspor performance against top teams is very strong and with good motivation from Super Cup title it would show fearless game against Istanbul giants.
