What happened in Turkish football today? 08.09.2016

Fenerbahce are making an unexpected sponsorship deal with Hello Kitty

One of the most talked events which has happened in relatively quiet football wise week was an announcement of the sponsorship deal between Fenerbahce and Hello Kitty which would aim into products for women and kids.

The following sponsorship deal has recieved lots of riducule between fans including Fenerbahce supporters themselves and among other fans in Turkey however as been mentioned by Fenerbahce themselves Hello Kitty will have 2nd sponsorship deal at the football field after AC Milan. This sponsorship deal would surely allow club to become more closer to its kids and women supporters with providing nice designs focussing both into Fenerbahce brand and also Hello Kitty brand. Surely this is interesting deal but it could work out pretty well as long as Hello Kitty does make quality items for its supporters.

It is surely normal for such a reaction to be recieved by people for this sponsorship deal but people need to get used to this trend of unusual sponsorship deals and sometimes it does work pretty well and much better as expected as history showed before.

Galatasaray believes 80 points will be enough for league title this season

Galatasaray head coach Jan Olde Riekerink does provide an image to everyone that he is focussed to winning league title and so far the team is going pretty well by making 2 out of 2 in the season and would be aiming to carry on this trend against Kayserispor on 10th September and only team among big clubs who succeeded to carry on 100% record.

It became reported that Riekerink is quetly rightly aiming for 80 points at the end of the season as it tends to be mark which does provide league titles. It needs to be rememered that maximum points which available at the whole season is 102, which more or less means that Riekerink does take account of losing 22 points or 7 games and 1 draw. But even taking account this high number it is reasonable target as Super League as it is hard season and as past season of leagues showed it is enough to become champion. For instance, last season Besiktas became champions with 79 points and before that Galatasaray with 77 points. However, of course it is important how other clubs perform as the target could be raised as it did  in controversial 2011-12 season where both Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor has ended season with 82 points.

But for now and assuming into last past few seasons this target should be enough and plus how league will develop would provide chance to change that aim by Riekerink.

Umut Bulut would use game against Galatasaray as making his mark.

One of the aspects of this week of Super League would be performance of the Umut Bulut against his old club Galatasaray at the Super League 3rd week  game on 10th September.

As it was known Umut Bulut didnt want to leave this summer from Galatasaray but as it became clear that his stay will not be useful to him he decided to move to the team where he is from, Kayserispor. As soon as he has moved he would meet against his old club which surely would provide some emotionality.Even through, he would be happy to see his old teammates he would have some push to provide great football and to score goals to his old team so it would be interesting how he would react to the game.As it tends to be case, he would surely would see this game as a chance to show Galatasaray that their made mistake by selling him.

This game surely would be seen as game between Galatasaray and Umut Bulut on the night and it is interesting how that would develop.
