Besiktas gets an important win against Karabukspor with good football.
Besiktas has won an important game against Karabukspor with 3:1 scoreline prior to the 1st week game against Benfica at the Champions League as it had dominated in today's game providing fast pace and focussed game. Karabukspor meanwhile has provided great response to Besiktas performance which in return allowed game to be exciting.
Today's Besiktas has shown that new transfers and national team break has helped to provide a closer performance of the club which was provided during last season by creating high number of the chances and attacking focussed game. It started creating dangerous moments and provided great attacks among which has been converted by Cenk Tosun and Omer Sismanoglu. In fact with Oguzhan Ozyakup scoring penalty kick towards end of the game, so far all of the goals scored by the Besiktas has been done by Turkish players during this Super League season so far. But it needs to be stated that newly-signed players did an important role by providing such an agressive and attacking style play by the Besiktas.
Karabukspor meanwhile has played an important role by making such a good game as it had provided an attacking football while paying attention to defence and once again proved that its not aimed to sit back. Karabukspor does show that it has good potential to become one of the memorable teams of this season.
Besiktas has got an important win by having same points with Galatasaray after this week as their drawn against Kayserispor and has got crucial motivation boost prior to Champions League game against Benfica at Champions League.
Galatasaray has got draw again opponent who were intended to kill the game.
Galatasaray has got its first loss of points in this season of the Super League at the away game against Kayserispor at the game which was played at incredible slow tempo especially at the 2nd half.
Galatasaray did start game in good way by creating number of the chances with one of them being converted to a goal by Yasin Oztekin with nice assist by Eren Derdiyok at the 12th minute who is among players who had start season in a good way. However, at the general Galatasaray and especially after that goal and also in 2nd half team had trouble at creating the tempo which it used to play at but Kayserispor has done everything to kill the game by intense defence and not going forward much themselves even after it had scored goal. Galatasaray was playing against team which has set its target to get a draw as it became even more clearer after Welliton has made scoreline as 1:1. Even through Kayserispor was gaining from this slow game it did provide anti-football and has reduced excitement of the game.
Even through it did gain draw result from one of the biggest teams this performance does show that Kayserispor would have a difficult season if it would always play for a draw against big teams or teams which it sees stronger than themselves. This tactic can create lots of issues as teams which aims to draw tend to lose.
Quite rightly, Galatasaray would feel dissapointed that it didnt manage to play its own game with Kayserispor which it slow football preventing them to have good chances and convert them. Stating that it is still to some extend problem to Galatasaray as it didnt manage to get through such intense defence of its opponents.
Both Fenerbahce and Bursaspor need win after dissapointing result in first 2 weeks.
Fenerbahce would be aiming for its first win at this season Super League and also first victory for the head coach Dick Advocaat at the league as it would play against Bursaspor which is one of the toughest opponents in Turkey.
Stating that it does need to be remembered that Bursaspor also didnt start season in a good manner with recieving in similar way as Fenerbahce 1 draw and 1 loss. Both teams would certainly aim to get its first win and see it as a turning point for the season before its too late. This would be also first competitive game for the newly-signed Fenerbahce players Jeremain Lens and Moussa Sow who has returned to his old team after 1 year period at the Al Ahli. International break surely has allowed
Fenerbahce head coach Dick Advocaat to study more and understand the style of the players and tomorrow's game would allow him to provide football which he was seeking for with providing better role to its players which means we could easily see much better Fenerbahce compare to first 2 games where it would aim to provide much more compact and forward seeking style of play.
This would be an interesting game for sure as both teams as been stated above would aim to get their first win and to some extend restart Super League season and start getting point before its too late.
