What happened in Turkish football today? 31.08.2016
Turkey didnt look to be impressive at the game against Russia.
International friendly game between Turkish National Team and Russian National Team has been ended at the friendly goalless draw at the game where both sides had some issues at dominating and creating the chances at the game even through there were times when Russian National Team has some more active football.
Turkish National Team has been looked to be affected in gamewise without many key players and even through it did show several times control of a ball and did prevent Russia to create lots of chances, it was lacking to be creative itself during the game and didnt find many chances. It is visible that Turkish National Team is going through changes which it needs to go through after Euro2016 and it might become stronger but it does give an image that it is not ready yet for Croatian National Team game at the World Cup qualifier 1st week game on 5th September. One of the main issues has been certainly midfierders, the area which Turkey has been lacked for long time which hence affected them at not creating lots of dangerous attacks during the game. One of the key players once again looked to be Emre Mor as he shown some fast football and willing to create chances at the game.
Russian National Team did look a bit more at the form but still it is not at its best level of the performance and even through did look to be more controlling game it did have big issues at creating chances. So game ended up being played at the slow-pace of two teams which going through changes at the team.
Today's performance does raise some uncertainty prior to Turkish National Team game against Croatia and doesnt look to be ready for that game. Another factor also been humid weather in Antalya which did affect level of football today.
Besiktas loans Caner Erkin and Atinc Nukan for 1 year.
Besiktas has succeeded to loan both Inter Milan player Caner Erkin, who has spend his previous season at the Fenerbahce and also its ex-player Atinc Nukan which ended being among one of the memorable deadline day transfers in the Turkey around top 3 clubs at the Super League.
Besiktas has tried for last month to find its strong alternatives at the midfielding areas going after famous names but due of different reasons its has trouble at transferring them apart of Vincent Aboubakar and Anderson Talisca. Therefore, it went after known names at the Turkish football,
Caner Erkin and its ex-player Atinc Nukan. This players surely will not have issues at the adopting to new teams as their are familiar with each other, including Caner who knows some players from national team. Besiktas has start doing transfers a bit late due of uncertainty in early summer of Mario Gomez and Jose Sosa at the club but it has ended this transfer window at the high becoming among most talked teams in Turkey with their transfers. Also it did use an opportunity to transfer Caner Erkin after Frank de Boer was appointed to Inter Milan and made it clear that he doesnt want Caner at his team.
This transfers would surely make Besiktas more stronger team right now and even through its uncertain about Champions League performance, it is expected with such a team to fight for league title once again.
Fenerbahce loans its old player Moussa Sow for 1 year.
Fenerbahce has brought back one its main players of the last years Moussa Sow with 1 year loan agreement with Al Ahli. The fact that Moussa Sow was willing to join the team and pressured Saudi Arabian team to loan him has played an important role for this agreement to take place.
Moussa Sow has left great memories and did leave with warm feelings from the team so it should not be surprised that all the bodies involved, including Fenerbahce supporters, were happy that this transfer has took place with only possible loser being Al Ahli who tried to keep an important player at their squad. Moussa Sow would aim for certain to fulfill his aims at the Fenerbahce such as winning league title and provide good performance at the Europa League. Fenerbahce would also certainly solve its issue at the midfielder which was observed during this season and could become a creative midfielder which Dick Advocaat was searching for this season.
It is certain that Moussa Sow return to Fenerbahce would be very effective and would also not have adoptation problems as he has played many years at this league and know how it is worked both at field and outside of the field.
