Besiktas has raised to the top with comfortable win.
Besiktas has got leadership at the standings of the Super League after confidently winning Alanyaspor with 4:1 scoreline during Super League 18th week game, with dominating game for most of the time.
It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas was coming out as strong favourite taking account conditions of the opponents which includes being at the relegation zone and being without head coach. Since Besiktas was also coming to the game at the good form, it was expected for them to dominate game from most amount of the time and provide similar performance it did compare to the last season. Taking account that Fenerbahce has won yesterday Basaksehirspor it has provided an additional motivation to the side to regain leadership at the table. Besiktas has also got an important away game last week against tougher Osmanlispor and is playing with good motivation and would be tough team to beat at least for upcoming weeks. The main player of the game meanwhile has certainly been Ricardo Quaresma with creating good chances with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Alanyaspor has come to the game with low motivation and not being able to have good training due of not having head coach at the side and this has certainly affected their performance and were not able to convert chances effectively which their did get a lot. But with team being at this condition its hard to criticise them.
Besiktas was certainly lucky to meet Alanyaspor at this condition and right now has get a high motivation for upcoming games including against Konyaspor at the next week.
Fenerbahce win against Basaksehirspor has provided hope to a team.
Fenerbahce was able to become 1st team to provide taste of defeat to the Basaksehirspor at the Super League during 18th week game in Kadikoy as it has won with a crucial goal scored by the Ozan Tufan which also has led to the victory for Fenerbahce and hence staying at the range of title race.
It needs to be stated that the game wasnt play at the high quality as was expected prior to the game and due of lots of psycholigical pressure of the importance of the game it has led to high number of fouls and stoppages. In fact, both head coaches had admited at the end ofthe game that their didnt play best football and the game itself wasnt in high quality. However, Fenerbahce has shown an upper hand with providing tactical and technical football which has mainly succeeded at stopping Basaksehirspor to play the football which their are used during the season which allowed to be leadership. Stating that Basaksehirspor was also reluctant to provide good reaction to the Fenerbahce style of play rather due of importance of game and circumstances surrounding it. This game did make for certain league title race even more important and even through both Basaksehirspor and Besiktas still look to be closest we do have 4-team race.
Fenerbahce got a win which it needed as all other goals could led them chances to get league title to very hard as with 10 points behind leaders with 3 teams at the top of them could provide difficult task to be achieved. With league coming slowly to the critical games, Fenerbahce has raised hope for title.
Trabzonspor did show an improvement at league in start of 2017.
Trabzonspor performance, at least at the Super League, of 2017 and midseason transfers has provided lots of hope for the future of the team as it had led them win two games back to back with both being at away.
It is known that Trabzonspor has big aims for upcoming season however to have good season next year it would be crucial for them at least have successful competition at the 2nd half of this season and it has started well, at least with scoreline. Game wise it needs to be stated that it wasnt as good as it was against Bursaspor, as Kasimpasa has provided lots of attacking football and in some chances was unlucky to find a goal. However, a header goal by Emmanuel Mas and general performance of him in last two games does show that he good be big help for upcoming games at this season and more importantly for upcoming season. Its ofcourse hard to state that Trabzonspor bad days are over with looking at two games, but things do look good for them
Right now Trabzonspor could set an aim to fight for Europa League spots at this season as competing in Europe next season could be good aim and could lead to bigger motivation during next season, but in same time team needs to look at things in realistic manner.
