Besiktas has ended as group leaders with one game at hand at Turkish Cup.
Besiktas carries on providing best football at the Turkish Cup among top 4 teams as it has secured top position at the Group D with one game at the hand as it has managed to win weakest team at the group Darica Genclerbirligi without providing too much effort with 3:0 scoreline.
Even playing with the reserve players mainly at the Turkish Cup, Besiktas players has shown full focus to the tournament with only exception being yesterday game with also factor that Darica Genclerbirligi didnt have much motivation to the game as it been arleady elimanated from competition even through it tried to show good football during the game. Besiktas to some extend has come out to this game as it became clear that their would be ending as leaders taking account that only 1 point was needed at the end of the day. To some extent, this leadership at the group could not be seen as big advantage as it would meet with Fenerbahce at the last 16 stage.
Besiktas would end group stage at the next week as it would play against Kayserispor who still has chance to also to the last 16 stage, which to some extend makes Kayseri team more favourite assuming motivation of the game and aims.
Karabukspor are capable to provide some tough times to Galatasaray in game tomorrow.
Galatasaray would return to the Super League after Turkish Cup game at the midweek against Karabukspor who has become one of the surpising and tough teams to beat at the league this season assuming that their have been from 2nd tier of the league.
Even through at the paper Galatasaray does come out as strong favourite with fighting at the league title, and Karabukspor is turning slowly into the team which season becomes without much aims, Karabuk side has given some tough times to different clubs including against Galatasaray at the 1st week game during this season in Istanbul. With Karabukspor playing at home this time and have motivation to beat big team, it will be tough game for Galatasaray taking account that Karabukspor will be at their best form at the game tomorrow. It is also expected that Garry Rodrigues will be starting at the game for 1st time since joining club and his effect to the midfield would become even more visible, if any, at the game tomorrow.
Galatasaray did have some issues this season at creating chances during games even through controlling ball and tomorrow game could be one where it needs to convert as often as their can to become winners at the end of the day.
Kerim Frei moves to Bournemouth City.
Besiktas player Kerim Frei transfer negotiations with English Championship side Bournemouth City has finalised with agreement which means that Frei will be returning back to England at the team where he can recieve some playing time.
It needs to be stated that Kerim Frei is good player and who has provided lots of help to Besiktas especially proving his value during Turkish Cup, but due of having high number of quality players at the Besiktas, he has failed to be playing lots of games at the Super League. Even through this factor didnt do much damage to Besiktas, it did provide lots of damage to Frei himself as young player it is certain that he needed some playing time to develop his skills. Spending most of his footballing career at the English clubs it was quite normal for him to move to Bournmeouth City for 2.5 years even through he will not play at the Premier League but team does have chance to be promoted in near future.
Most important thing for Kerim Frei was to move to team where he can play some games and this move just did that as Bournemouth does need play like him. He would be able to develop his skills taking account that Championship is pretty tough league.
