Besiktas is currently team to beat at the Super League.

Besiktas carries on its performance at the Super League with confident way as it has managed to get confident win against tough opponents Konyaspor during Super League 19th week game with 5:1 scoreline and regain its top position.

It needs to be noted that even through Besiktas was coming out as favourite due of the form of the both sides but it was expected for Konyaspor to provide some tough times at the game. However, organised football by the Besiktas with players knowing what their were doing and having strong focus towards the game has led for Besiktas to get an important win which would certainly push them with confidence in coming games. Meanwhile, Besiktas player Cenk Tosun hat-trick helps him to carry on good performance and raising his total number of goals this season to 15 goals he is becoming main favourite to become goal scorer of this season. Besiktas start showing combative and organised football which does want to score goals a charecteristics it was showing at last season when it got title. It is certain that with this performance it would be team to beat at least for upcoming few games. Only downside is own goal by Dusco Tosic who scored at own goal few times this season arleady, and needs to be careful in defence.

Konyaspor has shown unexpected pretty poor performance at the game today and was pretty far fetched from organised performance it often shows at the league. However, it needs to be noted that Besiktas fast game with finding too early goals has affected to motivation and confidence for rest of the game. It needs to improve this performance for rest of season but it is capable to do so with such squad.

Besiktas has recieved an important win and as was stated that it would be team to beat as it plays in confident manner in next few games. It would come out as favourite against Fenerbahce at the Turkish Cup last 16 game, but with it being derby game anything can happen on the night.

Fenerbahce wasnt able to show fighting spirit against Kayserispor.

Unexpected loss from Kayserispor which are currently at the relegation zone during Super League 19th week game, has led for Fenerbahce to get even further from league title race and it needs to solve its issues of losing crucial points against bottom side teams.

Fenerbahce one of the main problems during this season and especially against big team is to be too reliable towards Jeremain Lens as team tries to start all its attacks by passing to him and hoping he would be able to assist. In fact, after the game Kayserispor head coach Sergen Yalcin has stated that main priority of the team was to stop him during the game and not give him freedom. Trabzonspor could make 2017 their year. 

Trabzonspor, even through is certain is very far away from league title race, are showing total different football for 2017 years playing much better football at the league and would certainly aim to carry on winning games as it did Gaziantepspor with 4:0 scoreline yesterday.

Fenerbahce has shown poor defence against Kayserispor.
Fenerbahce has recieved surprising 4:1 loss against Kayserispor during Super League 19th week game and has become even more further from its aim to recieve league title at the end of the season.

Fenerbahce even more importantly has once again lost points against team which are at the bottom half of the standings of the table. It does need to be stated that to all respect to Kayserispor the team has played pretty good attacking football aiming for a win, but Fenerbahce has failed to provide strong enough response to them as it did against Basaksehirspor. Even more worrying for the Fenerbahce is for them providing least organised defence game of whole season which hence has led for them to concede 4 goals today. It wasnt able to provide the organisation which was needed for such game. Stating that its need to be remembered that Fenerbahce could turn after 1:1 at the end of 1st half and start of the 2nd half could have turned as it has 3 chances with Fernandao getting pretty close at finding important leading goal which could changed game. After score has come to the 2:1, Fenerbahce has lost concentration and due of more  unorganised football, Kayserispor has managed to get even bigger goal scoline towards end of the game.

However, it needs to be stated that Kayserispor has shown also great football with believing that it will win the game even before kickoff and with great performance of the Guray Vural and Valena during the game it has played an important win tonight. This could be seen as new begining for Kayserispor at this season with its new head coach Sergen Yalcin and could build on from motivation it has recieved today.

Fenerbahce meanwhile needs to solve the issue of losing high amount of points who are at the bottom of the table as it until now has become their main reason for being 7 points behind current leaders Basaksehirspor with Besiktas being game in hand.

Trabzonspor has won its 1st game at its new stadium Medical Park.

Trabzonspor has managed to win its opening game at its new stadium Medical Park, at the Senol Gunes Complex, with 4:0 scoreline during Super League 19th week game against last-placed team Gaziantepspor.

The fact that Trabzonspor has played its 1st game at the long-awaited stadium which has included lots of supporters coming to the game has provided an addition motivation for the team players. This motivation has been passed to the game as it has scored 4 goals during the game with 2 of them being scored by Fabian Castillo. Trabzonspor has managed to dominate game for most of the part without allowing Gaziantepspor to find any clear chances and also opponent having poor season, Trabzonspor was to some extend lucky to meet such a poor opponent. With scoreline coming to the 3:0, Hugo Rodallega who has become transferred during mid-week had also enjoyed. Trabzonspor has also managed to win 3 games back-to-back at the Super League, first time during this season, and also didnt lose league game during 2017.

Gaziantepspor meanwhile carries on providing poor performance and having one less game due of Genclerbirligi postponed game is located at the last place with 7 points away from safe-zone and hence it needs to improve its performance as soon as it can if it wants to stay at the league.
Trabzonspor carries on good performance with wins back-to-back and since its being out of the Turkish Cup it has advantage to get ready to 20th week game against Osmanlispor.

Akhisar Belediyespor has helped Galatasaray to get such a confident win.

After recieving lots of criticism following Karabukspor loss, Galatasaray needed to provide good reaction against Super League 19th week game against Akhisar Belediyespor, and it has achieved that pretty well by winning game with an impressive 6:0 scoreline.

It does need to be stated however that apart of Galatasaray undoubetly showing great footbal at the night, Akhisar Belediyespor has certainly has played its worst game since joining Super League and is certainly very far away from last season performance. It came out to the game arleady at the loss mood and didnt control ball or create organised attacks at all. Recieving such as unconcentrated team Galatasaray has quite naturally dominated game and also taking account that as a team it wanted to send strong message to everyone who is interested to the Super League that it is at fighting spirit for the title. If Galatasaray carries on like that for next 2 weeks, it could come out to the game against Besiktas as strong favourite.

However, Galatasaray very crucial game against Basaksehirspor during Turkish Cup last 16 game which would be an important reference point for the strength of team, as it is hard to take yesterday game and 24 Erzincanspor as reference for team to become champion, but one thing is certain that team did get motivational and confidence boost in those games.

Galatasaray has got an impressive results but Akhisar Belediyespor didnt provide good football.

Galatasaray has certainly played its easiest game so far during Super League against Akhisar Belediyespor during 19th week game where it has provided a confident 6:0 scoreline and during the game where Akhisar has failed to provide any danger to the opponents.

Following loss against Karabukspor last week, Galatasaray has played two competitive game which includes 24 Erzincanspor where it has won game with an impressive 6:2 scoreline, which means that it has found impressive 12 goals during those 2 games. Galatasaray has dominated game from start to end, however it needs to be stated that Akhisar Belediyespor didnt provide any quality football and has played one of its worst football games of this season. Even through Galatasaray winning 6:0 scoreline does show that their has shown great reaction, in football wise it should not be treated as reference point since opponent didnt provide good football against them. However, this win would provide great reference for upcoming games including next week Turkish Cup last 16 game against Basaksehirspor.

Akhisar Belediyespor didnt show any kind of organised football and has been seen as an amateur team. In some teams try to play an effective football but fail to do so which leads to humiliating loss but this game Akhisar Belediyespor players didnt know what their were doing. Akhisar Belediyespor this performance shows that things will get worser for them without Hugo Rodallega and team needs to start playing much better football as this lowest point it can get.

If Fenerbahce plays Kayserispor like it did against top teams at standing it wont get an easy win.
Fenerbahce would return to the Super League with an important game against Kayserispor as it would try to build on the good result against Basaksehirspor last 16 and would aim to win this time against team which are at the lower side of the table.

As it was observed from this season, Fenerbahce has provided pretty good results generally against teams who are at the lower side of the table and has failed to provide an impressive results against teams such as Alanyaspor and others including losing to the Kayserispor at the 1st half of the season. As old football cliche goes, it needs to win the game to make Basaksehirspor win to make any matter and carry on at not getting too far from league title race. If Fenerbahce would come out to the game as it plays against teams which are above them it would be strong favourite since Kayserispor is not having good season. Stating that Kayserispor did bring new head coach, Sergen Yalcin few weeks ago and has selected new CEO Erol Bedir at this week which would bring extra motivation to the side.

Besiktas has drawn formality game against Kayserispor.

Besiktas has completed its Turkish Cup group stage performance at this season without recieving any loss as it has ended formality game against Kayserispor with 1:1 result and with having very good performance at the group stage, it has been awarded with last 16 game against Fenerbahce.

Taking account that game was played purely for formality, as Kayserispor has quarenteed its last 16 spot as runners-up of the group, it has led for game to be played at slow pace in the winter and snowy condition with Besiktas playing with youth players. Taking account that Besiktas has also arrived few minutes before kick-off it was normal for game not to provide any excitement. However, as always been case you cant be angry for both sides due of matter of the game and both sides playing safe thinking about crucial games at this weekend at the Super League. As been mentioned yesterday, only bad news from the game is an injury recieved by Besiktas player Omer Sismanoglu.

Besiktas has been drawn with runners-up of the Group C Fenerbahce at the game which could be qualified as early final and would certainly be a game of high quality between two rivals.

Trabzonspor has said goodbye to Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium with win.

Trabzonspor with having disastrous performance at the Turkish Cup, did manage to win its last game of the group stage against Konyaspor with having an extra motivation of playing its last game at the Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium.

Galatasaray needs to win against Akhisar Belediyespor to stay strong for title race. 

Following poor performance and result during Super League 18th week game against Karabukspor, Galatasaray would certainly aim for much better results against Akhisar Belediyespor during 19th week game of the season.

This game is pretty important for Galatasaray in sense to get back more closer to the title race of this season and also regain its motivation and confidence as their had provided pretty poor performance during last 2 weeks of the league. 6:2 win against 24 Erzincanspor at the Turkish Cup has certainly provided big motivation to the team prior to game and is very certainly would lead for Lukas Podolski to start at starting 11 where he would also to carry on his top performance. Therefore, the game has been played at friendly game and has ended with 1:1 scoreline.

It needs to be noted that Besiktas didnt play well enough with playing mostly with youth and also arriving to the Kayseri Has Stadium few minutes before kick-off due of deciding to travel the game on the day and also travelling for 4 hours to the stadium due of plane landing to the Adana cause of heavy snowing. Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has got blame. But taking account circumstances the side will not complain much both regarding of the result and also performance as this game has been for a formality. Taking account that Besiktas has ended game with 1:1 it has completed group stage of the Turkish Cup without loss becoming only to achieve that among big 4 teams. In overall, Trabzonspor was able to end its last game at the Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium with a win despite of having very poor performance at this Turkish Cup. Right now it would give all focus to complete season well at the Super League starting with Genclerbirligi game on 28th January.

Fenerbahce has won Amedspor at the game played purely for formality.

Fenerbahce has concluded its Turkish Cup group stage game with a confident win against Amedspor with 3:0 scoreline at the game which was played fully for formality as Fenerbahce has ended group as runner-up while Amedspor were arleady out of the competition.

The stars of the game it needs to be stated has ended up being Robin van Persie who have scored 2 goals including penalty and Salih Ucan who has ended game with one goal and assist. Even through Fenerbahce has found 3 goals during 1st half and has controlled game with nice tempo, it was played not at the fast speed as two teams has come out for the formalities and has treated game in such a way so it played with passing ball around. Of course, factor that Fenerbahce is carrying on competition has shown in their motivation while Amedspor were hardly focussed to the game. Salih Ucan and Robin van Persie did present good game trying to show head coach Dick Advocaat that their are important players who can be used in the upcoming games at all competitions.

Amedspor meanwhile wasnt able to be focussed too much to the game and did create few chances at the 2nd half but the game being into formality and also due of scoreline it needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has allowed them. It wasnt good competition for them this season but it got an experience.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce would meet with Besiktas at the last 16 stage of the Turkish Cup in next weekend at the game which could be seen as an early final of the tournament and certainly would be an exciting game.

Lukas Podolski and Galatasaray has aimed for a win against 24 Erzicancanspor

Galatasaray player Lukas Podolski has shown full dominance during Turkish Cup group stage last week game against 24 Erzicancanspor with scoring 5 goals and playing most importantly to get 6:2 confident win against their main rivals for last 16 stage.

In overall, and especially at the start of the group stage Galatasaray has shown a very poor performance losing high number of points which to some extend has led them to end the group at the 2nd place from Tuzlaspor. However, at the game yesterday Galatasaray for whom draw would been enough has come out for a win, which was especially observable  especially from performance by the Lukas Podolski who has scored 5 goals. Their are rumours that Podolski wants to leave the team as he is unhappy at his club. However, scoring 5 goals could rather mean that this is not the case or he tries to make his name even more visible at the transfer window. Galatasaray has shown still as a team full focus to the team especially after 24 Erzincanspor provided a little scare to Istanbul side when making scoreline 2:2 at the 25th minute.

Right now Galatasaray would meet with Basaksehirspor at the last 16 stage and would have pretty tough game as it would be hardest opponent for them so far at the competition and it would need to provide much more effort compare to games from group stage.

Trabzonspor would aim to win its last game at its own stadium regardless of game not having any significance.

Trabzonspor would come out to their last game of the Turkish Cup 6th week game against Konyaspor who would certainly for now end this group as leaders. However, this game is even more important not due of situations at the group, but for Trabzonspor playing its last game at Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium.

Trabzonspor has experienced both good days and bad days at the stadium including obtaining all its  4 league titles at this stadium at its history. It is certain that team would aim to play its last game with winning Konyaspor regardless if its not have any chance to qualify to last 16 of the competition. Taking account that Konyaspor is also qualified to last 16 as leaders and has nothing at stake at the group it would also quite likely allow their opponents to end their last game at high note. Taking account that the game itself has no significance at the competition, it has significance to win the last game at its legendary stadium.

Therefore, Trabzonspor would come as favourite and the game is likely to be played in festive and in some extend sad mood as team leaves behind its historical home.
