What happened in Turkish football today? 16.11
Greece friendly game is important but still not good enough to show strentgh of Turkey prior to Euro2016.
Since the focus was turned into friendly games of Turkish National Team, our blog has been stated numerous times that Greek friendly game in sense of difficulty should be tougher and provide better idea for Turkish Head Coach Fatih Terim prior to Euro 2016 about level of national team and players at the squad. However, Greek national team should not be mistaken with the one which has won Euro 2004.
Greece national team since that unexpected glory in 2004 was going downwards and was among worst teams during qualification stage of Euro 2016 and probably biggest dissapointment of whole campaign. Therefore, this friendly game tomorrow will not be as easy as against Qatar, however it is still not an opponent which will make team ready for Euro2016.
Turkish head coach Fatih Terim has said himself that he actually wanted to play with more higher level teams but it was harder to agree with them but stated that Turkish Football Federation will try its best to agree with some of them for March 2016 international friendly break. One thing which is crucial as stated in the previous blogs this week is to provide good performance and check new names.
Galatasaray is losing Semih Kaya
It is known for several period of weeks that Galatasaray player Semih Kaya shows some unhappiness of him being in substitute at the team while team itself is putting him into substitute. There is high expectation that Semih might be leaving club as soon as January transfer window.
Today morning some of the news outlets in Turkey stated that Semih Kaya has agreed with one of the European teams presumably Inter Milan and will be returning to his older head coach Roberto Mancini. However, Galatasaray has declined this news with press release.
Galatasaray should make decision if it wants to keep Semih Kaya as the player wants to play frequently and perform rather than sitting in bench and feel needless. If Galatasaray doesnt treat this issue rightly, Semih Kaya could easily leave club this winter.
Robin van Persie leave to Barcelona might not be that simple
Another player from big 3 which club looks to be losing is Robin van Persie at Fenerbahce, who is rumoured to have negotiations with Barcelona while speding international friendly games break in Amsterdam. In contrast to Galatasaray, following news was not declined taking account that Fenerbahce is known to make announcements of untrue stories in fast pace.
Robin van Persie case is interesting as his unhappiness is more regarded of not playing enough and with rumours in this week that he is aware that it is his fault after not included in Dutch national team has shown some aspects of Persie focus into improvement and staying at current club. So the following news, if true, should be treated in some extended unexpected.
Fenerbahce for now will surely try its best to keep van Persie due of cash used to transfer him, hope of him improving and key role he plays at club. Barcelona might agree with Persie but it wont be easy to make deal with Fenerbahce.
