What happened in Turkish football today? 31.10

Perfect teams sometimes lose points too

As been stated numerous times at our blogs following games of Besiktas, the club so far is presenting most attacking, open style football so far at the Super League. It could be argued that recent performance by Galatasaray is also getting into that level of performance, however this section of blog will focus into  yesterday performance of Besiktas against Kasimpasa.

Undoutedly, during the race for the title the clubs will  lose points as it happened with Besiktas against Kasimpasa as it ended with 3:3 draw. The game, which was most awaited of the 10th week, managed to surpass all of the expectations.

Main reason of the draw was also performance by Kasimpasa as it showed that it is capable to play attacking football. Only downside for them is conceding 3 goals as being least conceded team at the league prior to game (obviously this is being upper side for Besiktas).

Therefore, it will be too critical to focus into mistakes made by Besiktas and instead should be praised performance of Kasimpasa. Now, Besiktas needs to focus to its crucial game against Lokomotiv Moscow at Europa League to take place this Thursday in Istanbul.

Trabzonspor contradicts itself by its hospitality statement during referee accident.

Scandal with locking referees for 4 hours at the Super League 10th week game between Trabzonspor and Gaziantepspor in Trabzon is getting into more serious danger for Trabzonspor.
It is undoubetedly that Turkish Football Federation among Professional Football Disciplinary Commitee is preparing very rough penalty and fines to the club, which it must to do to show its tolerance to this harsh actions by Trabzonspor.

Meanwhile, Trabzonspor showed first signs of realising of what is taking place by releasing official statement saying things such as referees lock themselves and we were providing security for them. All of this would be seen valuable and reasonable if there was not statements made after game by club CEO Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu.

In statement, he urged fans to not let referees leave stadium which contradicts of Haciosmanoglu providing help to referees stated at statemengt. With high tension of fans and administrators in club sadly official statement does not sound believable. Even through Trabzonspor is important club for Super League, Football Federation should provide harshest punishment to  the club.

Fenerbahce is looking for alternatives but Pereira still can save his job.

Despite of denial by Fenerbahce about firing current head coach Vitor Pereira from his post, Turkish media is currently actively talking about the club looking for his replacement. Even through those rumours are not justifiable, it is sure that this information is being recieved from source at the club.

From my opinion current position of Vitor Pereira is similar to Jose Mourinho, but a bit better in the sense that Pereira is having more games in hands to prove himself but it looks that his time is given until December. Currently the club is focussed to bring back either Aykut Kocaman, which brough semi-final at Europa League and Ersun Yanal who brough league title as early as on April to the team according to sports media. Both names are put their name at the club history, with Kocaman also playing at the club in early 1990's.

In my opinion, Vitor Pereira still has chance to save his post at the team if positive results with positive attacking gameplay will safe his job, plus team is still at title race with 2 points behind leaders Besiktas.
