Game against Qatar was great chance to look at new names for Turkey.
Friendly game against Qatar for Turkish National Team was played for an opportunity to see its strength against team which aims to be successful in future and also test new names, such as Atinc Nukan and Yunus Malli, who have played first games for national team.
The game was played as it was expected for the friendly game, in a calm and mediocre tempo. Qatar has showed some aspects of development at its football as it began winning the game with 1:0 scoreline being proof of that. However, in Turkish view of the game it was mainly important to see how would Turkish players provide its performances. Atinc Nukan, who has played for first time, did not provide great football which could be described of having season where he is being injured for most of the season at the RB Leibzig while Yunus Malli has shown some signs of his play.
It was also an important game for Besiktas player Cenk Tosun who has scored his first goal which was also winning goal of game, which is good news for him and Turkish national team prior to Euro 2016 as Tosun is capable to score lots of effective goals but only managed to do so in today's friendly.
Turkey now will focus into its next friendly game against Greece, which could be sligthly stronger opponent and provide better idea of current situation of Turkish National Team. But most important for Turkey for this two games is to check its new names, and today's opportunity by Fatih Terim was used in good way.
Loaned players are providing better performance than transfer ones.
So far at this season, it became observant that players which were loaned this summer are providing better performance than actual players which were brought by clubs. For instance, Galatasaray player Jason Denayer loaned from Manchester City, Fenerbahce player Lazar Markovic from Liverpool and especially Besiktas player Mario Gomez from Fiorentina.
As the transfer window of January going to open all those clubs are planning to have negotiations with clubs which players to be loaned to discuss about purchase of the player or at least extension of loan. According to media reports, all of the players mentioned above are eager to stay in Istanbul and play for club. It is known that despite of some questions prior to coming to Turkey, eventually foreign players enjoy playing at Turkish league.
Arguably all this players provided better than bought Robin van Persie in Fenerbahce, Lukas Podolski in Besiktas, and could be stated that are more wanted at the club. Now all those big 3 teams need to focus to keep those players especially taking around that players want to stay reportedly.
Problem seems to be at Eskisehirspor not with Kartal.
Eskisehirspor head coach Ismail Kartal has been resigned from his position in around one month after being appointed after resignation of Michael Skibbe.
As Kartal became head coach of the team club didnt manage to win a single game at the league so far. Which also opens questions if Ismail Kartal was one to blame or there are some issues at the strenght of the club. It is surprising that head coach like Ismail Kartal didnt manage to bring any wins.
Now Eskisehirspor needs to bring head coach with a positive attitute and good discipline so he would be able to bring out maximum from players which obviously lack of motivation in a team.
