What happened in Turkish football today? 02.11

Galatasalay should not be overconfident against Benfica.

Tomorrow's Champions League game between Galatasaray and Benfica will be equally important for both teams who are aiming to get first two spot at the group stage and continue Champions League next year.

Benfica has slight advantage which should not be ignored  which is Portuguese side is playing at home against Galatasaray. In addition, Turkish club fans should not be tricked by win in Istanbul and general good performance by their team. Benfica is also having good season and recieving good results so far at the group.

Recent good wins could be downside as club might be too confident to the factor which could be an advantage for Benfica. Therefore, Galatasaray should treat game in very serious manner and not try to act as much superior team because their are not. If Galatasaray takes game serious it might get win as long as there are not overconfident.

Trabzonspor should accepts its fines whatever it will be.

So far, the most discussing issue is still Trabzonspor events which took place following 10th week game against Gaziantepspor in Turkish Super League.

Professional Football Disciplinary Committee has announced yesterday that it will take a look of 10 Trabzonspor adminstrators including club CEO Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu. It is expected that adminstrators, especially Haciosmanoglu will recieve very high fines.

Trabzonspor as club should stop trying to find reasons and change story because all of the data shows events to be against them. When fine is announce their should expect it and forget about their criticism towards football federation.

Besiktas is favourite against Lokomotiv but should be careful again

Besiktas will be playing crucial game against Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow on Thursday in Istanbul, after drawing against main opponent for top spot at the group.

As been stated beforehand, apart of good attacking football by club it has also an advantage of its supporters. First game in Moscow despite ending with 1:1 draw shows that Besiktas is strong enough to win Lokomotiv.

However, it should be no doubt that Lokomotiv will also try to score and also will be careful at defence, therefore Besiktas concentration at all sections of the field should be crucial for Besiktas if it wants to win game.
