Basaksehirspor were pretty far from their usual performance against Copenhagen
Turkish champions Basaksehirspor without doubt were looking with positive towards Europa League last 16 game against Copenhagen especially when having advantage of 1:0 from 1st leg but didnt provide strong performance and has lost to Danish side with 3:0 scoreline.
Unfortunately, for Basaksehirspor supporters and general Turkish football followers side did provide very poor performance being pretty far from its organising performance with it did provide both in previous games at Europa League and in the league. Due of 5 months break from Europa League, it could be forgotten that side did provide best performance from all Turkish club coming out from difficult group and also beating Sporting Lisbon on the 2nd round. This loss unfortunately also means that Turkey has lost its 10th spot to Ukraine at UEFA country coefficient and has lost direct entry to Champions League after next season unless title winner would be from same country from top 10.
