What happened in Turkish football today? 11/08/2020

Kasimpasa has appointed Mustafa Altiparmak for 1 season.

Kasimpasa has officially signed Mehmet Altiparmak for 1-year as on his previous work coach has promoted to Super League but has been sacked from his position in unexpected decision and now did find him himself at the club which is more used to the Super League level.

This blog regular followers would be aware our discussion about this appointment when it was only been principal agreement, where it has argued that such appointment for Altiparmak has been into raising level. It would need to be mentioned that he did join side which would be seen as general mediocre side at the Super League which to some extend if does provide some raise of performance could even be fighting for Europa League spots in upcoming season. Mehmet Altiparmak as coach been working mainly with lower clubs in previous season with leading them to promotion, but he is ready for Super League level and could get some good results in modest club like Kasimpasa for sure with aim to prove himself.

Hence, Mustafa Altiparmak has opportunity to show his level at the Super League after several years in lower league and Kasimpasa is club which could give chance to do that.

Hatayspor has appointed Omer Erdogan.

Staying with Hatayspor, club has appointed young but highly potential coach Omer Erdogan who would experience his 1st experience in the Super League with club which would participate in the top league 1st time in its history.

Without doubt, Omer Erdogan as player did provide some memorable performance with being among main players who did lead Bursaspor to its historical title in 2011/12 season, and would now aim to prove himself as good coach. In recent years, we are seeing new generation of Turkish coaches which are showing some good performance and Hatayspor among for sure economical reasons has decided to appoint Erdogan with this in their minds. Its hard to predict what kind of performance he would be aiming to show, but with possible aim being to stay in the league could provide some pressure but in same time motivation to prove himself to Turkish football community.

Hatayspor are giving difficult job to Omer Erdogan who without much experience would be taking such crucial role, but in same time it is his opportunity to show himself as good potential coach.

Gaziantep has extended contract with Alexandru Maxim for 2 years

Gaziantep has extended contract with its key player Alexandru Maxim for 2 years as side continues to have pretty active transfer period on early days.

Without doubt with Gaziantep being promoted to Super League only during last season, it did provide pretty strong and positive football performance with getting some impressive results. Alexandru Maxim performance during that period is being among players who has led for them to show such great performance so it was strong decision to extend such contract. With also having good connection with counterapart coach Sumudica, without doubt did play for both parts to make deal for such extension.

Without doubt, Gaziantep making this extension will keep side into strong level for next season but it does need transfers if it aims to get better results next season.
