What happened in Turkish football today? 17/08/2020

Galatasaray has signed Omar Elebdelloui for 3-years.

Galatasaray has made statement that it has signed Omar Ellabdellou for 3-years with player who did provide strong performance at Olympiakos during previous season and could become strongest transfer for club during this transfer window.

It was known that Galatasaray has shown interest with Elabdelleoui since end of the previous reason and did provide strong transfer negotiations which led for deal to be made in fact few months ago but made it official during this day. With taking account for him being 28-years old and as been noted providing good performance in his previous club, it would be expected that he would continue such strong performance in this club and could become one of the key players for upcoming seasons. Galatasaray did fail to provide strong confident performance in recent seasons, and didnt get wanted performance from new transfer and it aims not to repeat those mistakes and this transfer can show this in this club.

Galatasaray which does go with some changes in its squad would need to focus into such deals this summer without forgetting economical issues too.

Besiktas has loaned Bernard Mensah for 1-year.

After long and intense transfer negotiations regarding of Kayserispor player Bernard Mensah, Besiktas has at the end made loan deal with him for 1-year loan deal.

Kayserispor has made smart move with extending contract with Mensah for 1-season knowing interest showing of Besiktas, and then has offered him as loan player as all parties did make deal but Kayserispor needed some cash and hence found way to get money with also putting purchase option after 1 season. It needs to be noted that Mensah has been strongest player for the side, and now it does need to find replacement for him which without doubt also been one of the main reason for such move for them. Meanwhile, both Besiktas and Mensah were looking to be joining each other hence its been transfer deal which everyone has gained for sure.

With transfer also coming prior to Champions League 2nd qualifier against PAOK does put them into positive factor for those fixture.

Genclerbirligi signs Salih Dursun for 2 years

Genclerbirligi has transferred Salih Dursun for 2-years who is without doubt is being one of the players who could provide some crucial strentgh to the side for next season with his experience.

Even through in all fairness Dursun is not in level, right now, for performing in top clubs, he is still could become ideal player for mediocre side as his good performance and experience is capable to get into this level for side which aims to get to top 10 position at least for the next season. Therefore, such transfer for sure would be good one as Dursun would be aiming to show top level performance as he did all this time aiming for top level games . Genclerbirligi however does need some more transfers to make good competitive side for next season for sure.

Still, this is being effective transfer which would strength side for next season.
