What happened in Turkish football today? 13/08/2020

Sivasspor has extended contract with Riza Calimbay.

Sivasspor has announced that it has extended contract with its head coach Riza Calimbay, as official and signing conference would be taken place tomorrow with more information likely to be stated.

With Sivasspor providing memorable performance during last season and despite of ending season at 4th spot, it is been longest side to be at 1st spot and has been seen among title contenders when leagues resumed on June. Without doubt, main reason for such great performance especially prior to break with getting maximum level of performance from players has been thanks to their coach Riza Calimbay who provided strong motivation to players. With coach showing such strong performance in his club, it was important to keep him for continuation of this level of game especially when side did get to Europa League directly. It is true that side did lose some crucial players so far this summer, so it does need to look ways how to strengthen side this summer.

Still, keeping Riza Calimbay who does have good connection with club administration and players should have stayed in this team and it was right decision to extend contract with him.

Besiktas has transferred Fabrice N'Sakala

Besiktas has made its first transfer deal with Alanyaspor ex-player Fabrice N'Sakala has made its attacking position into much stronger with pretty modest deal.

Since previous season has been ended it was known that Besiktas are showing strong interest to N'Sakala and it was especially pleasant for side to see that player himself wanted to join club willingly which without doubt did lead for transfer negotiations to be taking place in short period of time. During previous season, Alanyaspor did provide very good performance and even through main burden has been taken by Papiss Cisse, Fabrice N'Sakala also provided very good performance and got huge part of club ending season at 5th spot and getting to the Turkish Cup final game.

This transfer hence did strengthen frequently Besiktas and could become one of the most effective transfers from side during this summer transfer window.

Alanyaspor has 3 crucial transfers.

Staying with Alanyaspor, it is been arguably most active club on this day with signing Besiktas player Fatih Aksoy for 5 years, Vitoria Guimaraes for 3-years and Ufuk Ceylan which are all high level players which their showed in recent years.

Alanyaspor, mainly due of having good season, are either lost or close to lose its key players on their squad so it it crucial to find strong replacements which would not lead them to be missing those players. And without doubt players like Aksoy who showed strong performance at Sivasspor and Douglas at Yeni Malatyaspor are on level not only to fill space of lost players but even provide better game and moving side into even higher level next season as it does have this potential. Without doubt one of the advantages of this 3 players is that there are familiar with this league and will not have issue with adaptation

Without forgetting economical conditions and limitations of the club it needs to be focussed into continuing signing this kind of players for next season.
