What happened in Turkish football today? 18/08/2020

Fenerbahce has signed Mame Thiam for 3-years.

Fenerbahce has made 3-year contract with Kasimpasa player Mame Thiam who without doubt did provide very strong performance in his side during previous season and hence could become one of the key transfer and players for Fenerbahce.

Even through Fenerbahce could be criticised for not solving its main issue which it has for some years, which is defence it still continues to make effective transfers which would lead to competitive side. With looking that its player Vedat Muriqi, being close to be transferred to Lazio, Fenerbahce did provide strong focus into attackers and due of economical issues focussing into domestic market, it did get Mame Thiam who provided strong and confident performance for Kasimpasa. With also goodwill move of Kasimpasa with not providing transfer fee discussed below, Fenerbahce did get strong player who would provide strength to attack.

Without doubt, Mame Thiam did provide great performance at Kasimpasa during past season which result to good outcomes for side, and he would be aiming to do so next season with Fenerbahce.

Kasimpasa showed its reaction to spending limit.

Kasimpasa has made very unusual and important decision regarding transfers of Mame Thiam to Fenerbahce and Fatih Ozturk to Galatasaray as it made deal without transfer fee with also sending strong message to spending limit system announced by TFF.

Since TFF has announced spending limits for next season, Kasimpasa and Fenerbahce taking forehand, clubs has provided protest to such decision. Kasimpasa did note that this decision is unexpectable since it doesnt have any debts for banks which their had paid important attention and hence this amount has been low and unfair towards them. To show its reaction, it has decided to provide those 2 players for free due of economical condition of all clubs, and hence dont provide much financial burden to clubs which are being seen as top clubs in country. This is pleasant to see and would be noted as effective way to protest without recieving any fines and issues with TFF, even through it is unclear how federation would react to such action.

Spending limit without doubt has been controversial issue but stance taken by Kasimpasa deserve praise without doubt and could affect rest of transfer window deals between clubs.

Fenerbahce close to transfer Jose Sosa

Coming up to Fenerbahce transfers, its been announced that club has made transfer deal with Jose Sosa who was willing to move to Istanbul from Trabzon and Fenerbahce has also provided good offer.

Without doubt Jose Sosa with his performance at Trabzonspor and previously at Besiktas did provide some very strong and memorable performances in this league, which is not usual for foreign players especially ones who have impressive CV at top leagues. With Sosa being one of the main players to keep Trabzonspor in the title race until almost end of the league, does provide that he still shows good performance and there is no reason why he wouldnt continue to do so at Fenerbahce. Another advantage he wont have much issue with adaptation due of experience in this league.

Fenerbahce continues to showing quality transfers during this summer and likely to continue making their squad among main title contenders.
