Genclerbirligi has appointed Mert Nobre for 1+1 years.
Genclerbirligi has appointed Mert Nobre as club's head coach for 1+1 years as Nobre does have pretty impressive football career in Turkey but not same could be stated for his coaching experience at Super League.
Even through Mert Nobre football career in Turkey is mostly remembered from his performance at Fenerbahce, he did also provide strong and confident performance at Genclerbirligi and hence has been treated with warm way and memories which hence would explain why club has decided to appoint as club's head coach despite as been noted lack of experience. Still and possibly due of this factor its been decided to provide 1+1 year deal to see how he would provide performance in his first season, but still it could be noted that Mert Nobre does have potential to become good coach and this would be test for him in this club.
Genclerbirligi did provide trust to Mert Nobre and for sure player who has good connection with club would be aiming to fulfill this trust.
Erol Bulut has left Fenerbahce.
Alanyaspor head coach Erol Bulut, as was expected for some day now, has announced that he has left his club after successful season with his club and now is expected to be appointed as Fenerbahce coach.
In fact, at short period of time Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc has announced that some important announcements would be made during this week with some coming possibly on tomorrow, and one of this announcements could be appointment of Erol Bulut. It needs to be noted that Bulut did provide strong mark from Alanyaspor with performance wise providing positive football which without doubt has led for Turkish football community to talk about him and Alanyaspor in this season. It needs to be noted that Erol Bulut without doubt is strongly suitable for coaches which are suitable for Fenerbahce vision and also being one of the legendary players in this side gets strong support from supporters and administrators.
Erol Bulut without doubt did provide great performance with his clubs and for sure is being ready to provide high aims with Fenerbahce.
21 clubs would be competing at next season at Super League.
TFF has made statement making it clear that Super League 2020/21 season would be played with 21 clubs while Adana Demirspor has asked for them to be included to the league due of Covid19.
Even through high number of people at Turkish football community, and even beyond, did call for leagues to be raised to be 22 clubs it needs to be noted that TFF in our view has made decision as calls for inclusion would be getting higher. In fact, Bursaspor and Akhisarspor been called for them to be included which would raise league to 24 clubs and more importantly if TFF expected such call, others would follow suit raising request to riduculous numbers. Only positive aspect to raise number of clubs to 22 is that there would be not side which would be bye one week, but then it would mean play-off at 1st league been played for nothing.
Decision to raise clubs to 21 for next season would be criticised, but asking for more clubs would make situation even more complicated.
