Denizlispor signs Pachuga player Angelo Gagal

Denizlispor continues its transfer works as it made deal with Pachuga player Angelo Gagal with strengthening its midfielding position for next season with getting relatively young and potential player.

Without doubt one of the sides which would be aiming to improve its performance compare to previous reason and keeping themselves away from relegation zone will be Denizlispor and one of the main issues in previous season has been midfielding area, but Gagal both being potential player with showing some good signs in previous club but being also available for affordable price could play crucial role to provide much more confident performance when starting attacks for club for next season so hence this would be seen as good transfer for Denizlispor without doubt.

Hence, Denizlispor did make crucial transfer for their squad but their would need to make some more to make strong side for next season.

Galatasaray requests to allow fans for 3rd week game against Fenerbahce while pandemic is getting worser.

Galatasaray has send request to TFF for playing Super League 3rd week derby of two continents against Fenerbahce with supporters as it would be one week before TFF plans to introduce 30% limit of capacity.

Foremost, it is needed to mention that motivation for such request has been provided to provide some excitement for game with addition to of course gaining some potential financial gain from tickets and reducing possibility of unfair competition since 2nd half could be played with supporters. However, as always personal or collective interests tend to be prevented with this pandemic needs to be followed with healty comes first, which some organisation and part of countries fail to understand. Taking account that Galatasaray has been loudest club to be calling for leagues to be stopped on March and being highly affected from virus, this request should be seen as surprise. It needs to be stated that we are seeing highest number of daily cases and deaths since normalisation process started and it could be rising in upcoming weeks including September and October. In fact, this plan of 30% capacity might be delayed which needs to be taking into consideration.

In fact, this request in unexpectable as Galatasaray provides plan of action of event which would be taking place in next month while some sections cant even plan properly tomorrow due of virus.

Fenerbahce is more likely to get Giuliano compare to Galatasaray

It does look like both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce could be getting into latest transfer fight as both clubs are showing strong interest to Al Nassr player Guiliano as player close to leave side.

Fenerbahce does have advantage our Galatasaray not only generally with how transfers are been done in this window, but also player playing before at Fenerbahce and does have some fond connection with club. In fact, it is been reported that Giuliano is looking forward to be joining so therefore continuation of this transfer talks depends more into Fenerbahce, as it looks only way how he would be joining Galatasaray is if Fenerbahce wouldnt like to transfer him.

Therefore,it would now be awaited for Giuliano officially end connection with Al Nassr and see how Fenerbahce acts with him.

Fenerbahce has transferred Enner Valencia for 3-years

Fenerbahce has transferred Enner Valencia for 3-years which is being latest transfer of most active side in this transfer window and has reached to 14 foreing player limit with this move as it looks like it is close to close its transfer of this summer.

Meanwhile, Enner Valencia has been known for his high speed performance in the midfield which does play important for creating high number of the chances which without doubt would be big advantage in this league for sure. With being 30-year old player, he did provide strong performance in previous clubs and hence is being among potentially key player for this club without doubt for upcoming season. Hence, he would be providing lots of strength in the midfielding and attacking and with having strong and creative attackers would provide big help for his side.

Hence, without doubt Fenerbahce did make an important transfer who would provide high level effectiveness for this club.

Besiktas has signed 21-year old Atakan Uner

Besiktas has made important investment for its future side as it transferred Altinordu player Atakan Uner who without doubt did provide impressive performance during past season in the club which is seeing as players factory in Turkey.

Besiktas during this transfer window did emphasise that it would be focussing into young players who would providing strong potential both to Besiktas and national team and without doubt for them 1st transfer which would qualifies into this level is for being Uner who is being 21-year old and has all reasons to become decent player and develop into strong player in this side which aims to develop those players. Hence, this deal would be win-win situation for both sides as Besiktas did get potentially strong player while Uner did get important opportunity to become stronger player with high opportunities in the future for sure.

Hence, this is being good transfer for all parties with Uner has all reasons to develop into strong confident player.

Besiktas makes loan deal with Francisco Montero

Staying with Besiktas, club has made loan deal with Atletico Madrid player Francisco Montero with paying 750,000 euro share to player while he is in this club.

With loan deal to be announced in short period of time, it needs to be noted that Besiktas following loss to PAOK at Champions League 2nd qualifier did provide strong focus into defence zone due of such poor game on that game and did make good deal with 21-year old who provides high expectations and arleady proved himself as good player in previous clubs. Hence, from this stance if sides does finalise deal it would be impressive transfer for Besiktas with strengthening defending area if he would be able to fulfill his expectations in his new side for sure. This would be also good chances for Montero to get some playing time and prove himself as player with high expectations to Besiktas and Atletico Madrid for sure.

Hence, this does look like good transfer deal for Besiktas which could solve defence issues for them.

Squad for Nations League has been announced.

Turkish National Team squad for Nations League openning 2 weeks against Hungary and Serbia has been announced and as was case during Euro2020 qualifiers and was expected to be been dominated by players which are playing outside Turkey.

With this being also first international games on 2020, due of Covid19 lockdowns and pandemic period, it is hard to be certainly sure how national teams are being situated right now, with main gains for such decision has been injured players such as Merih Demiral and some others. Still, with Turkey providing pretty poor performance at previous tournament with being relegated to lower league, but then staying at League B due of changes of format it would be aiming to aim for top spot and get to the top league. This squad, including specifically this one which been called for upcoming games is being on strong condition and could fight. Even through this games are played before start of new season, previously did end pretty recently.

Therefore, this is being new chapter for Turkish National Team as their aim to continue its success for Euro2020 qualifier and get impressive results at Nations League.

Rizespor signs Loic Remy for 2+1 years

Without doubt one of the most discussed and unexpected transfer news not only for today but possibly of whole summer transfer window could become Rizespor signing of Loic Remy for 3+1 years.

It is even possibly to state that this is being biggest signing of Rizespor in its own history as its gets one of the most known player 33-year old Loic Remy who even through is getting close to ending his career still can provide some high level performance and upcoming years which could be seen from 2+1 year contract.Interesting aspect of this transfer is been that, as Remy states himself, he did recieve some offers from well-known clubs from Turkey and Europe but decided to join pretty mediocre side in the league. One of the main reason could be that compare to other sides, Rizespor were willing to provide him starting 11 role where he would provide direct role in performance and also help for teammates especially young ones to develop. Surely, this transfer would provide strong role with getting get good results in upcoming season.

Rizespor did get great player but its important for Remy to return this favour by showing good performance and fulfill expectations.

Its uncertain of situation of supporters at stadiums even if TFF gives date of October.

Following draw for Super League, 2020/21 season it was turned out for first 5 weeks to be dominated games by clubs which expected to be title race competitors for upcoming season, which raises for introduction of supporters before October.

Even through logic that football is more enjoyable with supporters and would affect more positively to club economy, it needs to be stated that we are entering to uncertain period as cases rises in Turkey and around Europe, with some restrictions, mostly unwanted but needs to be done are being put into place. Interestingly TFF CEO Nihat Ozdemir looks to be aware of this situation. As TFF earlier this week has stated that 30% of supporters would be allowed to fill stadium capacity and even through it is obvious that circumstances could change, it was provided as statement. However, during today's interview Ozdemir stated that federation wants for 30% capacity to be filled. Ozdemir has stated earlier that he wants for previous season to be ended with 10% of supporters and also Turkish Cup final but it didnt happen. Therefore, how Covid19 would act and signs it would give for 2nd wave would provide decision for such crucial decision.

Back when virus was most agressive in spring, our blog did state that virus dominates decision and what is wanted could not meet with what needs to be done and its same for this decision too.

In other news:

NationsLeague League B Group 3 between Turkish National Team and Hungary on 3rd September in Sivas is in danger to be postponed. According to, Hungary decision in fight against Covid19, country has closed border to foreigners from 1st September and for Hungarian citizens returning would be providing 14-days of quarantine. Hence, players returning from game, might need to be at quarantine. This might lead for some clubs not sending its players, with risk of affecting whole Hungary squad

Fenerbahce has recieved fine for not providing information of test result before friendly.

Fenerbahce has recieved 24,000 TL fine for not providing results of Covid19 test results during pre-season friendly game and TFF does provide important message that it wouldnt tolerate such actions from Fenerbahce and other clubs in this period of time.

Even through during this Covid19 period, we did provide some criticism towards TFF and didnt provide some crucial actions from them during such period, it still did make some important decisions and actions especially following its own guidelines. This decision should not be seen as movement action Fenerbahce in this time, as this guidelines are related to providing healthy safety conditions in this unprecedented times and hence provides strong messages to every single club in this league with providing such information even if its friendly game. Therefore, this is being without doubt right decision and action from PFDK and hopefully would be valuable lesson for clubs.

Hopefully, Fenerbahce and other clubs would be more careful with providing crucial information from start to an end to TFF.

Swiss court states Fenerbahce didnt do matchfixing on infamous season.

Fenerbahce has announced that Swiss court has declined Trabzonspor complaint regarding of Fenerbahce practicing match-fixing during infamous 2010/11 season and would need to pay 12,000 CHF compensation for openning case.

Therefore, it does look like Swiss court put another chapter in this on-going heated conversation regarding match-fixing season with fight which is going between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce. It does look without doubt that whole community did prove and accept of Fenerbahce not doing wrong-doing and this is being an operation from FETO(group which is claimed to organised failed coup on 15th July 2016), Trabzonspor doesnt seem to end its fight as it believes it needs to get title as it finished 2nd on that season. However, Swiss court has been latest point where complaint could be sent from Trabzonspor and among losing this claim would now need to pay 12,000 CHF fine for openning this case without proving it against Fenerbahce.

This decision should be allowing Trabzonspor to end this conversation once for all as it does take for long time and sometimes distracts club to look on future.

Hatayspor loaned Alexandros Katranis for 1-season

Ending this blog with transfer, Hatayspor did loan St.Etienne defender Alexandros Katranis for 1-year in this pretty quite transfer day in Turkish football.

Without doubt if Hatayspor does plan to provide strong performance with an aim to stay on league in this long season with 4-sides to be relegated it needed to do some changes at defence which they did with loan Katranis for 1-season as defence part without part is being one of the most important areas especially in such contact league like Super League. Coming from one of the most-known French sides does also provide that Katranis does have some potential background which would only go into advantage for them for sure.

Hence, Hatayspor is having active transfer window to make competitive side for Super League and from side it does look they doing good job at it.

Besiktas provided poor performance against PAOK.

Besiktas been relegated from Champions League as it has lost to Greek runners-up PAOK during 2nd qualifier with conceding 3 goals in duration of 30 minutes and did show view that its not ready for new season, both with performance and squad.

It needs to be noted that it was true that Besiktas didnt come out to game as favourites but chances has been seen pretty equal, but when game has started it did become clear that PAOK has been more ready, focussed and prepared for this game with starting game with good tempo and finding goal on 7th minute with 18-year old player Tzalos. Stating that, Besiktas did provide very poor performance in defence wise leaving huge gaps which allowed PAOK forward to have freedom of movement and due of this has led them to find 3 goals. Especially, worrying image been presented by newly-signed players but it could be harsh to provide too much criticism as it been 1st game but it is dissapointing that it had happened in such important game for club.

Besiktas even through did find one goal didnt provide strong performance and makes clear that many works needs to be done for upcoming game especially for Europa League qualifier.

Another player got positive result from Covid19.

Following announcement from Erzurumspor, regarding of Covid19 positive test of its player Arturo Mina on 25th August, Erzurumspor has announced that another of its player has got positive test result.

It needs to be noted here that Mina test has been taken into his homeground Ecuador, and hence it does look like this player who got positive result has been infected from this virus on seperate occassions but it could be one of the newly-signed players since mainly its being them who get this virus coming from vacation and other countries. As been noted on previous posts, we are seeing slow rise of cases in Super League and even through its not being at panic level especially with starting of the season, we are being reported of cases 1-2 days per day. Taking account rise of cases both in Turkey and rest of world continues, it could provide some worry and players need to be extra careful if their dont want to get virus.

As always our blog wishes fast recovery to unnamed player from Erzurumspor from Covid and urges everyone to be careful.

Fenerbahce signs Mauricio Lemos for 3-years

Fenerbahce has transferred Las Palmas player Mauricisio Lemos for 3-years as it possible did solve its defence issues which seems to be one of the problematic areas for the side as player is capable to fill this weaknesses in this club for sure.

Even through it could be mentioned that Lemos still didnt prove himself as high level player, he is still on level of Uruguyian National Team and does provide signs that he has potential to develop into decent defender with also arleady being in level of starting 11 in club such as Fenerbahce. In fact, he did provide some good performance at Las Palmas during his stay and focussing into that performance is getting into level of Fenerbahce. As always, effectiveness of this transfer would become clear when games will be played, but he does show some good potential in this club for sure.

It does look like Fenerbahce did solve its defence issue partly but it is reported that their focus ot even strength this area with more transfers.

In other news:

SuperLeague season is going to start on 11th September and end on 8th May. 1st half will end on 24th January while 2nd half will start 29th January. 14,17,20,23,28,33, 36,38 and 41st weeks will be played on midweek.

PAOK defeated Besiktas with finding 3 goals on first 30 minutes.

Besiktas has been relegated from UEFA Champions League as it has lost to PAOK during 1 game 2nd qualifier game with 3:1 scoreline in empty stands in Greece, while conceding goals during 1st 30 minutes.

There were talks that Besiktas with losing some players on their squad and also due of playing single game has been seen as disadvantage for them as in European competitions Turkish clubs always good results at home ground with home supporters. It needs to be noted that this factor has become clear during first 30 minutes with conceding 3 goals back to back especially with conceding 2 goals from Tzolis who is being 18-year old player found his 1st goals for his club. Goal from Cyle Larin on 37th minute did provide some hope for 2nd half but it needs to be noted that Besiktas didnt raise tempo of the game into needed level while PAOK did provide controlled game with score advantage and looked to be side which did control whole game. Besiktas head coach Sergen Yalcin debut at European competition hasnt been great but it needs to be admitted he had limited squad.

As been noted, PAOK looked to be more prepared and with finding 3 fast goals were able to get scoreline which it seeked for and allowed them to control rest of the game and would now focus to 3rd qualifying round.

Besiktas start both in Europe and season has been pretty poor and didnt provide its expectations as it was expected to provide much more resistance and would now continue its European journey at Europa League 3rd qualifier.

30% of supporters would be allowed to stadium from October.

TFF has announced that 30% of capacity of stadiums would be allowed to be filled with supporters since October as situation with Covid 19 is getting slightly worser in Turkey, even through it is not in panicking mood for now.

Foremost, it is crucial to remind that rules which been set to prevent Covid-19 spreading both in Turkey and rest of the world would be going through, as everyone who would be entering to stadiums would be checked for temperature including supporters from October, social distancing would be going through and masks would be worn by everyone. It needs to be reminded that TFF CEO Nihat Ozdemir did mention that their been reluctant to introduce supporters during previous season when even administrators and substitutes didnt follow those rules. Therefore, both federation and clubs would need to provide information and to some extend educate its supporters how to follow those rules with making clear that if it wont follow it could bring back empty stands again. Denmark meanwhile does have 10% capacity and doesnt provide any fines to clubs regarding this issue, and hence should be used as role model.

In here, it is important to note that situation with Covid is still being unclear and conversation to return of lockdown is being active in rest of the world and very likely behind scenes in Turkey, and therefore this is plan which has many reasons to happen but due of situation can be scratched.

Positive tests among players continues to rise

Staying on the topic of Covid19, as been noted on previous blogs due of end of short summer break some players which are returning from holidays are been tested positive with Goztepe announcing 1 unnamed player while Erzurumspor newly-signed player Arturo Mina also got positive result.

Accoring to Erzurumspor announcement, Mina has got infection while being on holiday in Ecuador where he took following test. It is reported that plays is going to isolation and recovery in his home country meanwhile. Similar positive outcome in Goztepe is very likely to be case with player possibly being newly-signed player and our blog wishes fast recovery for both names. Even through expected, but pretty worrying raise of cases is being seen with possibly does provide some wrong behaviour from players and clubs to travel in summer resort areas in such period of time especially when this break is being short. It is understandable for players to want to rest, but it has led to such circumstances.

We are sadly seeing rise of cases of Covid in Turkish football community and if this continues like this it could provide some worrying issues both to clubs and TFF.

Besiktas would have tough game against PAOK.

Besiktas is going to be first club in Super League which is going to open 2020/21 season as it would be meeting with PAOK on single-game 2nd qualifier for Champions League at Thesalloniki, Greece without supporters and would be aiming to show strong game.

Foremost, its crucial to remind that this decision has been made by UEFA both to reduce frequent travelling but even more importantly to provide fast-track qualifying tournament to its competition as it started 2 months later due of lockdown circumstances. It needs to be also reminded that game will be played without supporters due of Covid19 measures. Even through both countries, does bring political stance of such game we would be looking more into football wise. It needs to be noted that in this stage Besiktas did get possibly one of the toughest opponents, as PAOK does have good team and in similar manner as opponents, even through bit less, does have experience at European competitions. With also losing Burak Yilmaz to Lille and not able to find replacement for now would provide some issues in attack-wise for them. PAOK even through will not have its supporters, will not travel which does put them small advantage.

Besiktas would have some tough game against PAOK and hence needs to show strong and confident performance during whole game in all aspects of the field.

Fenerbahce player has got positive Covid19 test result

Fenerbahce has announced that one of its players has got positive test result from Covid 19 result, while later Jose Sosa wife Carolina Alluralde announced that she got positive result, but its not clear of connection as both stayed apart for week.

Due of some players returning from summer break to their clubs and also with some transferred players starting training session there is sadly posibility of raise of cases at both Turkish and general raise at football world as player is likely to be among this who recently has joined club. Meanwhile, in previous test both for Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, players 2nd tests did turn from positive and negative which would be hoped to be the case for this player in the club and in fact also for Sosa wife. Sadly, this period might be seeing with some cases but it would be hopeful that it wont have negative impact foremost to infected and whole club.

This does show that players and general public needs to be staying precautious as virus danger is not over right now.

Rizespor signs 5 players.

Coming back to transfer front, most active side which has been today in this area without doubt has been Rizespor who has transferred 4 players and loaned 1, as it aims to have strong season.

Rizespor as would be known, did been in the area of relegation zone during last seasons with saving themselves with few weeks until end of the week and with having some important transfers it would aim not to repeat that issue. It did transfer Nadir Ciftci, Engin Pekdemir, Yasin Pehlivan for 2-years and Kemal Ruzgar for 3-years  and loaned Akhmat Grozny player Konrad Michalak for 1 season hence getting players who has good experience and could play crucial role with strengtening side for upcoming season. Stating that it should be expected that side would be continuing at transfer window without forgetting its economical issue and spending limit amount.

Still, this is being crucial date for Rizespor which could make raise of level of performance next seasons.

Schedule:

Basaksehirspor has recieved warning fine for starting game late.

Basaksehirspor has recieved warning fine from UEFA for starting Europa League against Copenhagen during last 16 2nd leg game at delayed time among also providing same fine to head coach Okan Buruk.

UEFA has found both club and its head coach Okan Buruk responsible for starting game at delayed time then was scheduled at 19:55 as association as it is known does play important role for starting its game on time mainly due of connection its does have with official broadcasters who naturally demand for games to be started on scheduled time. As it is known, starting games at kick-off time isnt being very strict in Super League and federation doesnt provide much flexibility but as been noted UEFA doesnt provide similar flexibility factor which club needed to be aware as it competed in tournament for some time right now. This warning meanwhile means that if it would be repeated it would recieve more harsh fine so from now, it needs to be more careful at Champions League.

This warning should lead for club to be more careful when coming to starting games when scheduled at UEFA.

Besiktas focuses into signing players which Sergen Yalcin worked before.

Besiktas head coach Sergen Yalcin does looked to be mainly focussed into signing players which he had working on previous clubs even through this could be also lead for limitations which side has during this transfer window.

Due of economical conditions of all clubs in this summer, it was visible that all transfer negotiations of sides has been led with focus of signing players from other domestic leagues and some of the head coaches when been newly-appointed decided to focus into players which their worked before due of familiarity which they have with each other and hence transferring them. Besiktas hence especially provided strong focus with getting Wellinton and N'Sakala with providing specific focus to end transfers which their managed and now focussed with Papiss Cisse and Gokhan Unal with who he did work actively during previous season and managed to get high level performance during this period.

Therefore, Sergen Yalcin main priority is to get players which he is familiar as club focusses into Super League experienced players.

Fenerbahce continues to overpass set spending limit with transfers

Without doubt one of the most active sides during this summer transfer window is being Fenerbahce which did make so far 9 transfers and does consider to make even more and that taking account that its spending limit from TFF doesnt allow much flexibility to them.

One of the most discussed topics in Turkey right now is how Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc manages to make as much as possible transfers in such period of time when it does have some serious economical issues and spending limits. Stating that, it needs to be noted that most of its are been done without high level salaries still its condition doesnt allow as even with previous season squad it does have some spending limit. It is clear that either he would go for revision of this deal with making new deal with banks regarding debt or he is sending some message to TFF. Time would show how such move would have consequences to them when TFF reacts.

It needs to be remembered that TFF can proved fine, not providing licence to club and provide some deduction of points for not following spending limit rules.

Fenerbahce signs Jose Sosa for 2-years.

Fenerbahce continues its active summer transfer window despite of spending limit which was set on them from TFF, as their signed Jose Sosa for 2-year contract as this transfer is being one of the most anticipated both in Fenerbahce and Turkey during this window.

Jose Sosa without doubt did provide very good performances in his career in Turkey, both at Besiktas and Trabzonspor and without doubt did play very important role for his side to be staying among title contenders until end of the league with strong effective forward-seeking performance. Therefore, despite of not very young age which Sosa is at there is certainly not reason why he wouldnt provide similar performance at Fenerbahce. Therefore, this does look to be very effective transfer for them as we start seeing without doubt team which would be able to provide title race for upcoming season with Sosa providing high level game.

One of the questions which is still being question right now with this transfers is what circumstances club would be having due of spending limit and what would be TFF reaction for this.

Trabzonspor signs Bahia player Flavio for 4 years.

Trabzonspor does sign one of the its most anticipated transfers during this summer transfer window Flavio from Bahia for 4-years with 1,200,000 euro and 750,000 euro salary with expectation that player would take place of Jose Sosa.

With Trabzonspor for recent years generally focussing into younger players who have high level potential, Flavio transfer needs to be mentioned is being effective and without doubt would play important role with setting such important task which it did set themselves for upcoming season where it would be aiming for title without doubt. It needs to be mentioned that this transfer is right on focus as it would strength team attacking style of game which is suitable for their coach Eddie Newton and does have potential to be sold for very good fee in upcoming future.

Gaziantep extended contract with Muhammet Demir for 1-year

As always, it would become clear how good and effective this transfer would be for Trabzonspor but on first glance it does look like good deal for them.

Gaziantep extended loan deal with Basaksehirspor who without doubt has been one of the most effective players during previous season leading side for good 1st season at top league.

Without doubt, Gaziantep who did provide very strong and confident performance would be aiming to improve on that during next season with having some more confidence. It is here important to make some good transfers to strengthen side but also important to keep key players who provided good performamce on previous season and without doubt it did done good job. Luckily for them, Basaaksehirspor didnt want to call back for next season which provided with loaning once again and keeping for sure its key player.

Now, Gaziantep without doubt would need to focus to strengthen their side to provide even better performance during tough next season at Super League.
