What happened in Turkish football today? 26/12/2019

Fenerbahce outcome would effect Besiktas performance.

Turkish Super League last week of 2019 would be started with Genclerbirligi and Besiktas game where both sides without doubt would be coming out to win game while Besiktas do of its status would be coming as favourites.

Despite of all that, Genclerbirligi in surprising manner does come out in much better from recent games, thanks to positive impact which was given by its head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu which includes point during last week against league leaders Sivasspor, as it was close to win its opponents. Besiktas meanwhile has lost last 4 games in all competitions which includes loss in league against Fenerbahce with 3:1 scoreline. Besiktas partly due of poor performance and referee decisions during that game does find itself of focus in preparation for this game but in same time might also see this game as an opportunity to show strong reaction to recent events team went through. It would be crucial without doubt be most important how team would respond to game mentally.

Besiktas could have some difficult time in this game as Genclerbirligi would like to continue its positive wind where them would be seeking to turn around its performance before break.

Bulent Uygun has been 4th coach to live Kayserispor this season.

Kayserispor continues changing its head coaches, as it has sacked its coach Bulent Uygun with only less then 2 months and taking account that team did show some improvement in such difficult time for club.

Kayserispor has changed so far 4th coach during this season which is being incredibly high amount taking account we only 1 week until mid-season break. It needs to be noted that club administration needs to show some patience with its coaches especially when team does go through difficult period with players not recieved salaries and some players leaving side. With this condition, club does need some patience from everyone involved as it would be difficult to turn around performance in such short notice for sure. With such high level of changes and change of coaches, Kayserispor would also for sure have difficulty with finding new coach as hardly would like to work with such unstable side both with decisions and finances.

Kayserispor would have difficult season but its important not to make even more harder as season progresses.

Its time to find productive ways to solve issues in football

Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz with his statements has taken this conversation of VAR into next step, stating that Zorlu meeting between Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc, TFF CEO Nihat Ozdemir and Central Referee Committee CEO Zekiriya Alp.

This issue has been discussed a lot in Turkish football with their is strong arguments that this meeting coming in the meeting before derby game did lead with how Cuneyt Cakir performed in his team as meeting has been discussed between sides. It is very unlikely that TFF would listen to this suggestion especially taking account statements from Fenerbahce has been announced. It does look sadly that all conversations and scandals does provide not great atmosphere in community and prevents into discussing actually about game and filled with rumours. It would be important for all parties to focus into football game and solve referee issue, which does exist in country, in more productive manner then throwing rumours.

Cengiz suggestion is not being productive since its been rhetorical suggestion and aims to throw more light into burning area with implies that this meeting did lead some injustice with referees.
