Fenerbahce has wanted game much more than Besiktas
Most awaited game during this week has been ended with Fenerbahce winning with 3:1 scoreline providing strong and confident performance compare to Besiktas but even more importantly it was visible that it has been side which wanted to win more.
Fenerbahce did start game with providing an attacking game with creating and looking chances making it clear towards Besiktas and everyone who has been viewing that it came out to provide strong attacking game. To some extend this has been one of the few games from Fenerbahce since start of the season and did show once again thats its dominance at home ground during derby games is not surprise at all with providing forward seeking game. Without doubt one of the key players at Fenerbahce has been Ozan Tufan who among finding very good 2nd goal which played crucial role at game, did also provide in overall good performance with pushing forward with individual whole team forward withut doubt. It needs to be noted that Fenerbahce also did good homework with figuring out Besiktas weakness points and provided strong pressure towards them.
Besiktas in other hands did provide one of its disorganised poor performance but most importantly it didnt provide full focus to the game and did have very poor plan to the game especially tactically. Following game, both Besiktas head coach Abdullah Avci and Loris Karius did admit and self-criticism of its own performances stating that side didnt control whole game and played too much with long passes which means that their could win game with such poor performances. With this blog only few weeks ago keep talking about winning habit of Besiktas, it has lost it as it lost 3 games back-to-back including Turkish Cup game. Besiktas would play its last game against Genclerbirligi, which by the way, is showing very high level game in recent weeks, and would need to win that game to keep itself strong at title race but more importantly enter to mid-season break with motivation. Now Besiktas would need to go through why it shown poor game tonight.
At short Fenerbahce did provide high level performance and without doubt has wanted to win this game much more then Besiktas which lead them to get well-deserved win and regained confidence.
Galatasaray has serious issues which needs to be solved.
Galatasaray showing poor performance in the league as it has lost to Goztepe with 2:1 scoreline during Super League 16th week game without providing any high level performance during game and lacked once again fighting spirit.
As been mentioned on our blog entry yesterday, it does look like Galatasaray does more psychological and internal issues in the team rather then performance wise as players seem to be having lack of concentration and motivation as all players at the side as it is known all players would have provided much better performance in normal circumstances. Meanwhile, with Fatih Terim keep talking about change of squad during mid-season transfer window, it does look like more and more that Fatih Terim is being on downside. It is true that Terim with successes with team during 1996-2000 and semi-final at Euro 2008 could be seen as best coach in country, but as example with Jose Mourinho even greatest coaches could have bad performances. With looking things at neutral perspective it does look like Terim is giving some harm but his name would keep him at Galatasaray at least in 2019.
Galatasaray without doubt is being at huge crises and there need to be find solution during mid-season break even if it would be very drastic ones.
Trabzonspor would need to aim not to concede against Konyaspor.
Trabzonspor would be playing against Konyaspor during Super League 16th week game as their would be coming out as good favourites to win game but it would be crucial for them try to not to concede goal as their do in each games.
In fact, with most games Trabzonspor has been praised for good performance and strong organised attacking game, but with conceding goals at each game and loss of focus does let them to lose point/s in those games. With Konyaspor usually providing defence focussed game and doesnt provide much attacking game, despite of paradoxically scoring high level of goals, could provide advantage to Trabzonspor for game as long as their provide strong attention to the game in defence zone. Trabzonspor therefore would be coming out as favourites for game but would need to provide good level performance to get win and possibly use Daniel Sturridge effectively as he certainly got high level confidence following 2 goals at Turkish Cup against Altay.
Trabzonspor are favourites but it needs to provide strong focus towards providing good performance at defence to get 3 points which it needs.
