Both Trabzonspor and Galatasaray provided strong fighting spirit at the game.
Turkish Super League 13th week game between Trabzonspor and Galatasaray did end with 1:1 scoreline without too much positions but has been played with both sides giving all their strength to win game.
Coming to game we need to state that Trabzonspor did provide some good performance with providing ball control during 1st half and did try to create chances even through Galatasaray did have controllable game without leading opponent to go forward a lot. It needs to be admitted that Trabzonspor did provide similar start in the 2nd half and did score on 51st minute from Alexander Sorloth who has provided great header but as game has continued it did lose some tempo as game continued even through Sorloth did have some good chances which could help team to get win and affect concentration to its opponents. However, as game has concentrated it started even more towards defence which helped Galatasaray to provide much more attacking game and this tactic which led team to be standing more into defence which did lead them to concede game. With conceding goal towards end could been dissapointed and rightly felt it lost 3 points.
Galatasaray when coming its high level performance during game, it didnt manage to get its high level which would been expected for team. Despite of all that it has been 1st game during this season in Super League where players did provide strong fighting spiit which also been praised by Fatih Terim, so therefore this concentration to provide fighting spirit has been strong focus into upcoming games in this season or at least until mid-season break. In fact, if Galatasaray didnt provide this focus towards end of game it would been very likely to lose game. Only issue which could been noted in the side of Galatasaray is to give this reaction when it has conceded goal from Sorloth and does raise rightly question why it didnt provide similar performance when scoreline has been 0:0. Right now Galatasaray does need to concentrate into providing high level performance and provide fighting spirit towards whole game which could also transform into better results which it lacks during this season.
When looking at game neutrally it could been stated that Trabzonspor has been one to lose 3 points with overall performance as it conceded at 90th minute but it needs to be praised that both sides did show high focus and fighting spirit which led game to be played with high tension.
Penalty incident at Goztepe- Fenerbahce has overshadowed whole game.
Even through Super League game between Goztepe and Fenerbahce has been played with high chances and both clubs trying everything to win game, game has been dominated from decision to repeat penalty kick.
Its crucial here to be aware that Fenerbahce administration doesnt say that decision has been given wrong as it was clear that Altay Bayindir did step ahead from line according to new rules which he admits himself following game. But complaint seems to be related to the factor that during last week game when Fenerbahce player Emre Belozoglu was doing his penalty kick it was clear that Yeni Malatyaspor was also breaking rule but penalty wasnt repeated. Therefore, this raises double standards issues from Fenerbahce perspective. Another factor which also raises that decision has been given by VAR after Fenerbahce player Victor Moses did score from counter-attack and could be seen as different position which of course raised tension even more from Istanbul side. In overall, this whole position according to rules has been treated correctly accordingly to rulebook but way it was treated has been poor and this factor did raise tension.
Sadly, even through there is many aspects which could be discussed following game, this penalty incident has been talked mostly and it is clear that Central Referee Committee with TFF needs to find solutions to prevent future incidents.
Besiktas has opportunity to focus into offensive game.
Besiktas without doubt would be coming to Super League 13th week game as strong favourite against Kayserispor which is currently located at the last place while Istanbul side is great form.
Besiktas for sure would be aiming to carry on its winning spirit until mid-season break and game against Kayserispor is great opportunity to do so with providing confident attacking game with creating many chances. In fact, Besiktas even through does provide good results in this last weeks, it still not showing good dominant attacking game but Kayserispor in all respect to them as opponent good opportunity to find some crucial goals which without doubt could be providing motivation and confidence to attackers. Of course, Kayserispor on their side would be aiming to provide good game and get point from strong opponent as it did against Fenerbahce, but it will not be easy for them and their mind set could play crucial role for outcome of this game.
Besiktas are strong favourites and this game is good chance for them to improve attacking game which it lacks most part during this season.
