What happened in Turkish football today? 05/04/2018

Basaksehirspor would have tough game against Yeni Malatyaspor

Title race for the Super League would be resumed with Basaksehirspor meeting against Yeni
Malatyaspor which promises to be tougher game to Istanbul side than it would be seeing from 1st glance as their opponents also have chance to get Europa League spot.

In fact, for Yeni Malatyaspor this game could be possibly last hope for staying at fight for 5th place spot as loss and win from Trabzonspor this weekend would raise difference to 8 points. Also it needs to be reminded that even through Basaksehirspor doesnt recieve much criticism as it is 1 point behind league leaders, it needs to be still noted that their have main difficulty during mediocre teams either winning with difficulty or losing games and hence it would need to stay focussed for entire game if it wants to end season at top spot. Once again it does look like Emmanuel Adebayor despite of number of high quality players would be getting main role at the game and his role and pushing team forward could lead for team to win it. As in case of last week, key here for Basaksehirspor to stay focussed and provide respect to opponent.

Due of situation, Basaksehirspor are coming out as favourites but Yeni Malatyaspor are capable to provide surprise to them and that what makes certainly this game to be even more interesting.

Goztepe and Fenerbahce are unhappy with Fikret Orman statement that he like to see Demba Ba at his team.

Besiktas CEO Fikret Orman statement that he would like to see Goztepe player Demba Ba at his team today prior to 2 days before two clubs would have meet against each other during Super League 28th week game has raised some unhappiness from Goztepe and Fenerbahce.

Both clubs has stated that statement where Orman states that he doesnt mind for Demba Ba to be at his team even through there is no transfer offer send has led them to blame for unethical statements. To some extend, both Goztepe  CEO Mehmet Sepil and Fenerbahce administrator Mahmut Uslu reaction is on place as it would affect negatively towards Demba Ba and whole character and doesnt fit to the football fair-play practices. Mehmet Sepil is of course more understanding as his team would meet directly with an opponent and hence would be unhappy. Fenerbahce side which seems to be outsider of the case, are looking at the things for negative affect which it can to title race and to some extend their do have good point.

This statement are unethical and it is now question if Demba Ba would be affected which is very unlucky of course as being professional footballer and Goztepe would certainly still would provide high level performance.

Galatasaray are interested to bring back Badou Ndiaye

One of the most interesting transfer news being circulated at Turkish media are rumours that Stoke City player Badou Ndiaye wants to return to Galatasaray and head coach Fatih Terim has provided green light.

With Stoke City having poor performance at Premier League which certainly has led Ndiaye to be unhappy had led him also to reconsider his future as career and he has shown interest to return to Galatasaray and team has seen this possibility as good opportunity with focus to loan him with an option to transfer at the future. Taking account that way N'diaye has left was due of mutual agreement and not hard feeling between sides it would be normal for him to be joining side with good agreement. It is also known that Stoke City are also willing to send him back which would ease negotiations in summer. With possibility of team getting to Champons League, Badou Ndiaye performance would also be positive side for a team for next season.

It does look hence that Galatasaray would provide one of its main summer transfer focuses into bringing back Badou Ndiaye to team.
