Besiktas has put its title race into difficult position as it is 4 points behind leaders with only 9 points left to grab in season.
Galatasaray has managed to win an important derby game against Besiktas at its home ground with showing well-organised and motivation for the last 3 weeks as it has become main favourite for league title but its away game performance doesnt of course make it for certain. Coming to Besiktas it has placed itself 4 points behind of Galatasaray with losing this game and taking account that Galatasaray has got advantage between two sides and there is 9 points left to until end of the season, its chances are very low for title.
As been stated, beforehand this game will not decide title winner but it would make chances for the loser for league title and this has become more clearly as the game has been competed. Galatasaray during its performance didnt only win game but has shown much better performance both at physical and also strategically as Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim has provided an important changes during the game. Galatasaray midfielders has shown also great performance without allowing Besiktas to get forward much. Of course, it could be argued that Galatasaray for game has become easier as their had an extra man following Besiktas red card but it did also show an attacking game even before that and has got well-deserved win. One thing is certain is that Galatasaray has gained huge motivation for last 3 weeks including against Akhisarspor next week game but it does have 2 away games, which is one more from its direct opponents, which does put their chance a bit more harder.
In other hand, Besiktas has put itself into difficult position with losing game today with 2:0 scoreline and has found themselves 4 points behind Galatasaray with 3 games left until end of the season. With such a result it has lost an opportunity to end season even at top 2 and get to the Champions League taking account that Basaksehirspor and Fenerbahce keep winning their games. It does also look that events which took place during Turkish Cup semi-final 2nd leg and decision to compete game has also affected into psychology and focus of the head coach Senol Gunes which has led for such a poor performance from Besiktas. With taking account of situation of the team Besiktas would have risk to lose concentration including next week game against Kayserispor as it would affect to the team performance. Besiktas needs to wait all of its opponents to lose points in next 3 weeks, not an easy task at all.
Title race stays on and would provide an exciting win but today's game does show that Galatasaray is having great advantage as its only team which would be guarentee its win with winning all of the 3 games until end of the season, but it is clear that excitement would take place until final whistle of season.
Basaksehirspor has got an confident win but didnt provide perfect game especially in 1st half.
Basaksehirspor has managed to get 4:1 win against Osmanlispor during Super League 31st week and has kept its chances for title alive until end of the season with 3 games even through Basaksehirspor didnt provide very good game at overall.
The game has been started with both teams playing careful game and Osmanlispor has been seen as better side which was looking for a goal. Basaksehirspor did turn game against Osmanlispor which some changes which was done during 2nd half including substituting Arda Turan in start of the 2nd half who didnt provide much effective game. Changes which was done has opened game for Basaksehirspor and hence has created more chances which has ended with 3 goals. Basaksehirspor still doesnt provide too confident game during last few weeks but it has managed with important changes with coach and has brought an important win. Basaksehirspor does still have crucial games for last 3 weeks which would not be easy at all for its title race and needs to provide high level performance as this performance could not be enough to get 3 out of 3 despite of confident scoreline.
Osmanlispor despite of goal scoreline and not being having high possession has stayed inside the game for 70 minutes during this game being effective with counter attacks and has provided some good chances against Basaksehirspor. The attitute of the game has been positive from Osmanlispor which would be crucial for last 3 games as it keeps fight to stay at league.
Winning with 4:1 scoreline has provided high motivation for Basaksehirspor for last weeks which would be crucial for them as it would be meeting with Sivasspor next week which could be tough game for them.
Fenerbahce fights until the end of the season.
Fenerbahce carries on its title race as it has provided confident performance during Super League 31st week game against Kasimpasa even through their were times at the game when Fenerbahce has lost its effectiveness.
With a win against Kasimpasa with impressive scoreline of 4:1, Fenerbahce has shown to everyone that it would not give up its aims for league title as it has won 5th game in row and has reduced goals scored with Galatasaray to 5 goals, which would be crucial if teams would be ending season with same points. Fenerbahce needs to be stated didnt start game at great form in the 1st half despite of finding goal and has allowed for Kasimpasa to find goals and due of lack of last touches during game it was lucky not to concede goal. 2nd half almost has started from an own goal from Martin Skrtel which has provided touch which went into goal but it was at the game and wasnt huge mistake. After that goal, Fenerbahce has provided much better attacking football as it realised that Kasimpasa is capable to find more goals during game and has managed to score 3 goals. What is also important that all goals scored from different players including from Vincent Janssen who has recovered from injured recently. Only negative aspects is 10 stitches which was recieved from Skrtel during fighting for air ball.
Fenerbahce finds itself at the middle of title race and with also hoping for other games to be turned into their favour during last 3 weeks would aim to win those games also.
