What happened today in Turkish football? 14.10

Luck was important but even more was hardwork of team

Turkish National Team during its qualification for Euro2016 was undoubedly very lucky to get best 3rd spot position which allowed to directly qualify to final tournament. However, saying that it only happened because of luck will be disrespectful towards head coach Fatih Terim and its players.
Only last year, Turkey was in position where everyone was coming in terms that next summer football fans will look at Euro2016 in television without Turkey and support other teams (probably Germany, as it seems to be most popular national team among Turks after Turkey of course).
However, incredible motivation and workforce led by Fatih Terim has turned group upside down and has helped to qualify directly.

Yes, we can thank Spain for winning Ukraine; we can thank Netherlands to play so badly; we can thank Kazakh player Kuat for scoring against Latvia. All this true, but if those 4 points from Netherlands didnt come it will be dream all over.

Now, the task is to go forward and provide incredible performance at Euro2016. Meanwhile, Turkey always had poor performance at qualifiers but when it does qualify it become one of the most talked teams. Everything can happen in France.

New format for Euro might go to advantage for Turkey

The final tournament format of Euro2016 to take place next summer in France, is in fact might go into advantage of Turkish National Team assuming the main character of team : emotionality.
According to format, there will be 6 groups with 4 teams on it. Top 2 qualify to next stage while best 4 of third place qualify with them. Assuming that once again Turkey might come to the worst scenario to 2nd round, might go to advantage in knock-out stage.

Turkey plays better when it succeeds or continues at tournament. Taking account that group stage might not go perfect for them in June, their performance with 2nd and 4th pot might bring them into of among 4 teams with 3rd spot, not hard to achieve assuming in total 6 teams can take that spot.
Assuming Turkey qualifies to 2nd round, it will provide better football and go until once again semifinals. Knowing character of Turkey this could happen, but still there is long time.

Galatasaray needs to buy attacker this winter

Galatasaray head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu, according to rumours in media, has given green light for having midseason transfers made and slowly start research and negotiations with players and club.
As been stated with Hamzaoglu main focus should be forward and midfielder position, as club has difficulty at scoring goals, especially when player such as Burak Yilmaz is injured.

Despite of fact that Galatasaray is among candidates to take in the end of the season, its gameplay does raise some question in Super League and Champions League.

Also due of financial fairplay limitations, club should aim for quality but young and low cost player. As long as transfer politics are done in winter it should be able to strength its attack.

In other news:

Barcelona has announced that it will refer to FIFA Arbitration Court to lift the transfer ban to let Arda Turan to play for club.

Galatasaray has decided to make transfers during midseason transfer window, especially in forward area.

-Turkish Sports and Youth Minister Akif Cagatay Kilic: At least for little while Turkish National Team has brought smiles to our citizens.

Fenerbahce player Lazar Markovic is recovering from injury and is expected to play from next week.

Bursaspor player Dany has become injured and won't be able to play for 3 weeks.

Turkish Football Federation CEO Yildirim Demiroren: Turkish National Team brought some good news for public who are going through tough period.

It was announced that Besiktas will play Sunday game against Caykur Rizespor in Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium.
