Blind email gave motivation to Czechs, but Turkey motivation will be able to fight against them
Today Turkish national team press conference prior to the Euro2016 qualifier game against Czech Republic was mainly concentrated into situation with Holland, with who Turkey fights for 3rd place, rather than about Czechs.
Turkish national team head coach Fatih Terim has shown his dissatisfaction regarding of the mail which was send by Dutch head coach Danny Blind to the Czech head coach Pavel Vrba. Even through the contents of mail are not been known by public, Terim states it is clear what the mail has contained of.
It is controversial that Holland felt like it needed to send emails to Czech even if its only was send to congratulate Czech Republic as Blind claimed in his press conference. Whatever is in the mail, it was aimed to provide extra motivation to the Czech Republic prior to game against Turkey. It is specifically surprising that UEFA did not start its own investigation regarding to mail.
Meanwhile, at same press conference Turkish national team players Cenk Tosun and Okay Yokuslu has stated that their don't care about Robin van Persie statement that Turkey will lose points somewhere during this two games. It is very important that players are ignoring this demotivational weapons used by Holland. As been stated, during all this week at blogs if Turkey focusses into game it will get third spot and get to play-off stage of qualifier.
Final decision of match-fixing is been given by court but tension is not over
Match-fixing storyline which was taking place in Turkey since July 2011, has got into another development and this one is most crucial. All of the suspects of the case, has been acquinted at the end of re-opening case. The biggest headline and winner of this result is undoubetdly is Fenerbahce and its CEO Aziz Yildirim.
Even through this decision is final at the match-fixing case, surely the story is not over yet. Firstly, very likely Trabzonspor will open complaint case into decision once again trying to get title of 2010-2011 season which it been fighting since opening of the case. The chances of it being succesful are very slim but it is reasonable to wait agressive statements between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce in upcoming days.
Another aspect and more importantly are the expectations which would arise following acquintance. It is expected that Fenerbahce will open huge compensation case against UEFA and Turkish Football Federation. Plus both organisations will need to give reasonable reasoning of the actions done in 2011, including decision by UEFA to ban Fenerbahce for two years at European competitions.
Other question, would Aziz Yildirim in upcoming days resign from post as promised or he will continue his reign until 2018?
Besiktas decision not to sell Ozyakup and Tore are correct.
Besiktas is determined to keep its key players for the long time, especially when it comes to the Turkish players. Today, Besiktas has announced that it does not plan to sell its two key players Oguzhan Ozyakup and Gokhan Tore during winter transfer window. Both players recieving various offers from European clubs.
I am among people who believe that Turkish players, for the sake of experience and improvement, should move to European big leagues as it will help them with development. However, looking at Besiktas perspective this is right decision.
With the lack of quality Turkish players it is important for successfull club at the country to play in national league and club where it protects and takes cares of you, factor which doesnt happen often in Turkey. Besiktas is among rare teams in Turkey, which takes care of Turkish players. This decision will be helpful to Besiktas, those players and national team.
As dipnote, club has announced it doesnt plan to sell also Argentian successful player Jose Sosa this winter.
