Kasimpasa showed that its tough team

Today's game between Besiktas and Kasimpasa was against team which scores most at the league against one who concedes most. It was expected that scoreline of game will be with minumum amount but instead we got in total of 6 goals and it ended with draw.

Kasimpasa was probably first team at this season who showed to Besiktas that is not scared of them. It played in attacking football scoring 3 goals and playing an open football showing its quality to Besiktas and other teams at the Super League. In fact, third goal by Kasimpasa was such a blow to Besiktas that it couldnt play quality attacking football after that.

The events which however took place in last few minutes showed once again mistakes made by referees with questionable out by Kasimpasa and penalty kick which in my view didnt happen. Kasimpasa had played well and deserved to win and it was stolen by Cuneyt Cakir, who is actually best referee at the world. However, it is know for Cakir to bring different performances at Europe and Turkish league.

With this result Besiktas lead against Fenerbahce and Galatasaray has become with 1 point which would only make league more exciting.

Everyone at Galatasaray squad can show great performance

Following win against Trabzonspor on 6th week, Galatasaray performance has went into big changes compare to its performances during first weeks. Club became more attacking and providing good football which is enjoyable to watch at.

Another and probably more important aspect is the performance of the players at the game yesterday against Eskisehirspor who dont enjoy lots of game-time in this season. Galatasaray head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu decided to go to big  and risky rotation which ended up being a smart move despite of opponent being weak.

Names which we not used to see on this season did not only show how good their train but also has raised motivation for upcoming weeks. It shows that Hamzaoglu does not need to worry about injuries as there is always someone available at the squad. Galatasaray game is only improving.

Fenerbahce is playing defensive when it has potential to play attacking football 

Fenerbahce main problem of this season is focussing too much into winning games rather into how those games are won. In other words, club head coach Vitor Pereira seems to focus into a goal and then not conceding, very risky tactics at the Turkish Super League.

While its main opponents at the league are winning with 5:1 and 4:0 scorelines and making sure game is won before last minutes, Fenerbahce keep putting stressful moments with going back and trying to protect score.

Biggest unexpected thing that Fenerbahce squad can score also 4-5 goals but something is to keeping them down, which could be stamina of the players which can be noted several times in the blog. Whatever it is, the main blame should be taken by Pereira and find solution to problem which he created himself at the team.

What happened in Turkish football today? 29.10

With rotation of squad it became clear that Galatasaray has great team.
Galatasaray impressive performance at home ground carries on 10th week at Super League in game against struggling Eskisehirspor which it has won comfortably: 4:0.

Due of rotation at the team, due of injuries, card penalties and general rest of player club head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu has played with 5 players which did not play at recent games. However, players such as Sinan Kaya and Paul Karacan has performed great performance showing how their trained in those weeks and readiness to be at starting 11. Galatasaray had a control of whole game with a fast-mediocre pace and had controlled game in general, with high quality Sergen Inan free kick, two attacking goals and one penalty by Burak Yilmaz.

However, in view of Eskisehirspor after conceding 1st goal it had provided reasonable performances which could be expected by them. Even through, team had struggled to create dangerous positions, with few of them making Muslera to be worried, but with performance it was visible it was willing to create and score to Galatasaray. In other words, team did not give up until conceding two goals back to back in end of first half.

In overall, Galatasaray has shown great improvement in past few weeks including in this game and shows it has strong squad in its hand.

Fenerbahce defensive play in the end of the game become too predictable for opponents 

Fenerbahce has won an important game against tough opponents, Osmanlispor, with scoreline of 1:1.
However, there were still problems present at the team which were noticeable in last few games. One of the main problem is not having calm ending of the game. Despite of winning goal of the game coming at the 2nd half, at 52nd minute, Fenerbahce still had troubles at the end of the game against Osmanlispor by going defensive and providing chances to its opponents. Luckily for Fenerbahce and its head coach Vitor Pereira, Osmanlispor attacks were not organised and did not end up as goals.
Fenerbahce has started first half in very fast pace with numerous amount of attacks by Diego however none of them could become goals. Another aspect is an injury of Lazar Markovic which helped to realise how important role does he play at team since he left the game, pace of team became slower at the game. Markovic is been recently criticised for playing predictably however he is one of the main reasons why Fenerbahce is playing fast football with his fast and ease passing of midfield area. Markovic is closest player which can provide football which Vitor Pereira is seeking for.

However, going defensive and loss of stamina of Fenerbahce is starting being predictable for the opponents. It wont be surprising if head coach, Mustafa Resit Akcay, has said to its players that as long scoreline is around 1:0 while their losing their have chances if their attack in last minutes of game. It is no secret that Fenerbahce became vulnerable at the back.

Overall, it is an important win for Fenerbahce as it needed to stay at the title race despite of being early weeks at the league. The main player who helped for the victory for Fenerbahce was Alper Potuk not only by scoring great goal but his performance at defensive and attacking moves at the midfield during game.

Haciosmanoglu only throws lighter to the petrol. 

Trabzonspor CEO Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu speech at the Turkish sports channel has raised big disbelief and criticism from Turkish Football Federation, sports columnists and even group of women who were unhappy with "We wont live like women" section of his speech.

As been stated previously at the blog, Haciosmanoglu has used in his words at criticism too much harsh words and to some extend even threatening words as was case before hand. It became clear that Professional Football Disciplinary Committee is preparing to give huge penalty both to Haciosmanoglu and also to club fans for not allowing referees leave stadium for 4 (!) hours after the game.

Historically, Trabzonspor fans are known to be hotblooded but the way club's CEO treats situation rather than making situation more calmer makes it even worser. Haciosmanoglu needs to stay calm and be careful with his words.

Trabzonspor needs to focus how it played tonight and not on referee. 

Turkish Super League 10th week game against Trabzonspor and Gaziantespor game was mainly remembered by slow-paced 1st half game of both teams and controversial decisions by the referee of game Cagaday Sahan, especially not giving penalty to Trabzonspor for hand ball at 90+2 minute of the game, which could bring important win to team.

However, returning to the game it looks like the most important lesson Trabzonspor head coach Shota Arveladze has learned from this game is to use Oscar Cardozo effectively and play with central forward at the upcoming games. Until 60th minute, before Cardozo entered game, Trabzonspor was playing very poorly without creating attacks and conceding 2 goals from Gaziantepspor, positions which were given as presents to its opponent.

In overall, 1st half of the game was slow-paced with hardly any shots to goal apart of goal by Gaziantepspor. However, with Trabzonspor starting to play more attacking football Trabzonspor has once again shown how effective are its attackers.

After game all focus will be given to referee of the game, as right after game Trabzonspor CEO Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu has criticised referees and Turkish Football Federation for purposefully not allowing them to win. Apart of club being potentially 11 points behind league leaders after 10th week, if Besiktas wins on Friday, club will once again fight for external issues, such as referee. As said before in previous blogs, Trabzonspor should need to stay calm and focus into performances. But how clubs acts after this game it doesnt seem like club will act calm.

Fenerbahce needs to stay focus during whole game

As been stated in previous blogs, Fenerbahce has shown some improvement during past two games against Ajax and Galatasaray and allowed them to get into more agressive and discipline performance. However, it is still below its potential at which head coach Vitor Pereira needs to find solution.

Tomorrow, during Turkish Super League 10th week, club will play against Osmanlispor, another tough team which should be able to test Fenerbahce abilities. One of the main problems with Fenerbahce at this season is losing stamina and concentration as the game progresses and conceding goals at 2nd half.

Osmanslispor as an opponent is available to stay focus for whole game and be equally dangerous in start and at the end of the game. Therefore, Fenerbahce needs to play high quality whole game if it doesnt want to lose another points in the title race.

Galatasaray should use advantage of fans to get comfortable win

Compare to its main rivals, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray is having more easier opponent, Eskisehirspor, who has  very poor performance during this season and below its potential. Plus playing at home is huge advantage for club if it wants to fight for championship and get closer to leaders Besiktas.

However, it wont be as easy as it looks as Eskisehirspor might see this game as good opportunity to turn things around. Mediocre teams have always seen games against "big 4" as good opportunity to turn things around when having poor performance.

Despite of that and also injuries of Carole and Snejder, Eskisehirspor should still not bring tough times for Galatasaray as long as it plays its own football. Eskisehirspor has potential to make surprise but it is unlucky with recent rise of Galatasaray and push by fans.

Besiktas attacking football is more similar to European leagues

Yesterday evening Besiktas once again had a great attacking game play against Antalyaspor while
scoring  5 goals. So far this season, in 9 games, Besiktas has scored 24 goals, which makes 2,67 goals per game.

So far this season, Besiktas is the most team to score goals at the league with 6 goals more than Galatasaray, who is second among goal scorers as the team. Appointment of Senol Gunes as head coach of the team has made club to play more attacking football.

The way Besiktas is playing currently is unusual for Turkish Super League and more represents football leagues such as England and Spain where it tends more open football with lots of attacks. Even more importantly, fast paced game by Besiktas manages to open closed defence by mediocre teams at league, which other top 4 teams has difficulty to get rid of and only left to complain about it after games. There are even talks that Besiktas might break Fenerbahce record as most goal-scoring team in history of league. Fenerbahce scored 103 goals at 1988-1989 season.

Trabzonspor game against Gaziantepspor is no less crucial than against Sivasspor.

At the game against Sivasspor on Saturday, Trabzonspor needed urgently to win to regain its morale and motivation. Their got win at that game without conceding, but now its more important to carry on at the game against more tougher opponent Gaziantepspor.

Both teams are in mid-table currently and have exactly same points (13pt) which could be motivation for Gaziantepspor as it will see itself not weaker than Trabzonspor and could see it as a  chance to get higher than them at the table. Trabzonspor last week win in performance wise as been stated on weekend blogs were not great but it gained Olcay Yasin whose performance will be crucial in game agaisnt Gaziantepspor.

Galatasaray view of referees is not positive when its feel to be done unright. 

Following biggest derby in the Turkish league, Galatasaray has used all its weapons against game's referee Firat Aydinus. Interestingly, quite recently club has stated during active conversation about referees, that its ok for them to make mistake, one day it will be for us and another day against us.

Its easy to say that comment when you dont feel to be victim recently. Today, club's administator Fatih Isbecer during press conference of deal with UBER, has stated that Firat Aydinus should resign in similar manner as Deniz Coban did few weeks ago.

Galatasaray has started focussing once again into opening polemics in football and talking about external issues. It should get over it and focus into league once again.

Opening of Antalya Arena didnt bring positive result to Antalyaspor. 

Antalyaspor has opened its new stadium against top 3 team in Turkey, Besiktas for the sake of recieving high number of fans. It was quite naturally to expect that club and fans were aiming to get good result or at least good performance by home ground players. However, the game ended with humiliating loss to Antalyaspor: 5:1.

First half of the game in fact had promised this scenario as Antalyaspor managed to play against Besiktas in similar strength with quality attacks and world-class goal by Samuel Eto'o. However, the usual performance by Besiktas in this season, including during away games, has led to high number of organised attacks which led to the scoring 5 quality goals.

Currently Besiktas is playing best attacking football at whole league by finding good positions and converting them, one of things which is lacking in Turkish Super League in general. Returning to game, Besiktas performances by Mario Gomez and Ricardo Quaresma has shown that both players will score more and more goals for their team.

Antalyaspor positive thing at the game was Samuel Eto'o once again proving that he is key player at the team, with 7 goals so far in this league, who would bring lots of problems for many teams in league. Also, Antalyspor has lost 2nd game against top 4 teams, earlier losing to Fenerbahce so it still has difficulity at competing at title race.

Good news for Fenerbahce: Diego, bad news: conceded goal

Fenerbahce performance at yesterday derby game against Galatasaray has shown some improvement from club however it is not enough to bring championship at the end of the season.
One of the main aspects which was observed during game is once again the stamina of the players.

The club to some extend fast paced and strong defence up to 60th minute has allowed team to have 1:0 lead however it seemed like players has switched after that. The conceded header by short Olcan Adin with Fenerbahce long defenders raises some questions. Even Vitor Pereira showed to Souza that he is half of your height at the end of the game.

However, the plus sign of the game is the goal by Diego Ribas whose performance was questioned at start of the season, however that goal made him "real Fenerbahce" (after Fenerbahce plays scores to Galatasaray he is referred like that by fans). Meanwhile, Vitor Pereira should be careful as number of fans start calling for resignation for Portuguese coach. But once again there are signs of improvement by team.

Galatasaray can deny it, but it was scared in Kadikoy

From the view of Galatasaray, the club and players are very dissapointed as this time their really believed their could win Fenerbahce in Kadikoy after 16 years, with the vibe from media giving more motivation.

However, in performance wise Galatasaray was very poor and didnt show signs of wanting to win a game and to some extend were lucky even to draw with unexpected header by Olcan Adin.

As usual, the main reason why game finished at draw was also Fernando Muslera with his important saves during times when Fenerbahce were coming dangerous to a goal.

In overall, Galatasaray head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu admitted himself that the club didnt compete in same manner. Reason for this could be fear by players, as it came to the stadium where last win club got was on 1999. Club denies it was scared, but players performance showed.

Otherwise Galatasaray and Fenerbahce can be happy as it is still at title race in early days and only behind of leaders, Besiktas with 4 points, after winning Antalyaspor with 5:1 scoreline tonight.

Fenerbahce has proven again to Galatasaray that it is hard to beat them at their own field

The latest biggest derby game has ended with 1:1 draw with some positive performance by both teams whose aim was to get three points after very crucial derby game for both teams. As it is known position of two teams made the result of the game more important.

As it is been mentioned at our blog and social accounts Galatasaray really believed that it could beat Fenerbahce after either losing or drawing for past 16 years. However, the performance of Fenerbahce from beginning of the game has shown to its opponent that it doesnt have any intention of letting stop this series, at least tonight.

Fenerbahce as club has shown one of the best defence performances since season started which let Galatasaray having troubles at creating dangerous attacks. In fact during whole game Galatasaray has only a goal and shot by Snejder which flew into hands of Volkan Demirel.

Only problem which could be noted by Fenerbahce is staying defensively after 60th minute of the game which provided confidence to Galatasaray in attacking way and which led to goal scored by Olcan Adin.

In overall, it was a positive game without any polemics and fights among   player and most notably no red cards. It is rarity in Turkey for derbies. After game everyone will talk about game and no controversiers. Also its need to put as feednote that this result is best for Besiktas, if it wins Antalyaspor tomorrow which would bring point difference to 5 against its main opponents.

Okan Buruk is similar to Yalcin but  new name should bring more morale to team

Following termination of contract with Sergen Yalcin yesterday night, as soon as this morning Sivasspor has appointed Okan Buruk as new head coach of the team. This fast appointment shows that club was interested and ready to sign Okan Buruk prior to resignation by Yalcin.

Talks at the Sivasspor regarding of Yalcin looks to be going at least for a week and Okan Buruk was put into the wait, as it is clear that there was negotiations with Buruk behind the scenes taking place.
Being from same era of Turkish players from 1990's-early 2000's in similar manner as Sergen Yalcin, Okan Buruk has also his coaching experience through mediocre teams at the Super League.

Undoubetdly its unexpected to expect Buruk to head coach champion style team, but his performance could be qualified as satisfactorily and he should be able to lift performance and morale of the Sivasspor. Plus the effect of new coach and new blood at team should become positive for a team in upcoming weeks and gain points.

Sivasspor  game allows new restart for Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor has got very important win in game against Sivasspor yesterday as it allowed to recieve a morale which was lacking at the team in past weeks. Another aspect is that following win has also motivated head coach Shota Arveladze who showed his unhappiness at situation at the club.

With Trabzonspor not becoming champion for long time, it can be forgotten that club is always aiming to the title at the start of campaign. However, bad results in each year has always risen tension among supporters and administators. Problem was the tension has always brought  more problems rather than solutions to team.

With following win, it is important for Shota Arveladze, players, administrators and supporters to have calmer period forget about external issues, and try to win games or otherwise it would have another unsuccessful season. What happened in Turkish football today? 24.10

Trabzonspor win was not eye catching but very important for brighter days. 

Following 4 week loss streak by Trabzonspor, club has won very important game against fellow struggling team at Turkish Super League, Sivasspor with 2:0 scoreline. Most importantly, it was important chance for Trabzonspor to show itself that it is at the race.

In performance wise, Trabzonspor has still played poorly in the game which was surely unsatisfying for club's fans. During second half after conceding 2nd goal, Sivasspor has played much better and attacking football. Apart of that Sivasspor has got some important position which only due of not quality legs could not be realised as goals.

Coming at the Trabzonspor side, it has performed still mediocre performance which is far from team standards which would fight for the league title. Key performances of the game was by Oktay Yokuslu due of his hunger to score goals which has been converted in the second goal by quality attack and also willing to score 1st goal, even through it is doubtful if he touched ball from Marin cross. Another key player was Trabzonspor goalkeeper Esteban, who played important role for his team not to get into panic at the end of the game.

In overall, Trabzonspor got an important win which would be huge motivation for upcoming games at the rest of the season.

Sergen Yalcin resignation was predictable but it was one game early

Following Turkish Super League game against Trabzonspor, Sivasspor head coach Sergen Yalcin has got all of the responsibility of bad results to himself and stated that he is sending resignation from his position. Later on same evening Sivasspor has announced that it has terminated contract with Sergen Yalcin.

Following 9 week period, Sivasspor has got 6 wins and 3 losses and so far didn't win single game.
Being at 16th position it is only team which didnt win any game.

Sergen Yalcin is undoubtedly is one of the best players of 1990's early 2000's in Turkish football but unfortunately for him he never managed to become great coach. Yes, he did help his teams to from elimation  but he never managed to bring more after that.

Sergen Yalcin decision with the club does raise question if the resignation could not wait for another week of the league. Club will play next game on Wednesday against Bursaspor and after their wont be game for 10 days which is enough time to find replacement. Club should accepted Sergen Yalcin resignation after next game to give him one more chance and also have more time to find replacement if needed.

Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim speech was dominated by press restrictions given by club.

Out of the field, biggest news of today was speech given by Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim who once again reminded that he will resign as CEO of the club in upcoming May. In addition, he mentioned about relationship with press and match-fixing investigation.

Following speech did not contain any new unexpected words but once again showed attitute given to latest developments which took place in Turkish football and his club particularly. As it is known Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim has started a war with the media following news about Aziz Yildirim being at changing room after game for one hour after Kayserispor game and also furious fights with him and sports director Guiliano Terraneo, both news been declined by club.

Now, Yildirim has announced that in upcoming games, which arleady happened in game against Ajax, only members of the Turkish Sports Journalists Union will be accepted to games and press conferences organised by club.

Fenerbahce are showing signs of Pereira promised gameplay. 

This particular week for Fenerbahce, in similar manner as for Galatasaray, is very important one due of games to be played both at Europa League and Super League which would be able to identify targets and problems which exist at the club at both tournaments especially at Europa League.

As been analysed in yesterday blog, Fenerbahce was able to provide style of play which head coach Vitor Pereira had promised to adminstrators, fans and media from first day of appointment. It could be said that there were some mistakes but at least it could be observed attempt to beagressive and organised. The performance of players such as Fernandao, Gokhan Gonul, Nani, Markovic among others could be crucial for team going forward.

On Sunday, Fenerbahce will play against Galatasaray at one of the biggest derbies at the world. The dominance of 16-years at home soil, had arleady put team at advantage however in game performance Galatasaray was seen more favourable until game against Ajax. In yesterday game, Fenerbahce was able to prove that it is able to fast-paced attacking football which was lacking and now game became more equal and unpredictable on Sunday.
Besiktas has advantage at Europa League. 

Besiktas game against Lokomotiv Moscow yesterday at Europa League could be categorised into aspects to be far from attacking football which we observers were seeing in duration of this season by Besiktas. However, as been stated yesterday, Besiktas draw was crucial one as it was against tough opponets who are having very good season and has similar aims as Besiktas in their own leagues.

Tomorrow's game between Sivasspor and Trabzonspor are game of two teams who are having tough seasons. Sivasspor is currently having long amount of draws while Trabzonspor has lost last 4 games in row.

Fenerbahce win also brought back hope to fans

Fenerbahce game against Ajax at Europa League was another crucial game for Turkish side this week which was aiming to carry on European journey after new year. With the surprise package of the group, Molde, has got 3 out of 3 the win for club would bring 2nd qualifying spot at the midway of group stage.

Fenerbahce game could be criticised for some mistakes such as at the attacking performance and positioning however the passion which was promised by Vitor Pereira was seen during the game.
Club tried to play agressive and attacking football.Once again, effectiveness of attacks by club could be questioned but there is rise of attacks which was observed by Fenerbahce against Dutch side tonight.

Fernandao, who is on rise recently, goal at 89th minute brought very important win for the club which everyone at the team was awaiting for. This game also send message to Galatasaray prior to derby game on Sunday, showing it is prepared against opponent which is on rise.

Shortly, the season both at league and Europe that was going below expectations of fans could turn around at Europe. This performance could be turning point for Fenerbahce and start of starting playing football which  Pereira promised.

Besiktas has got an important point in tough away game.

As been stated in yesterday blog game between Lokomotiv Moscow and Besiktas at Europa League was game between two opponents who are currently are at same level in performance. Therefore it should not be surprise that game has ended with draw.

First half of the game had been went into slow pace and without any memorable attacks for both teams however after Mario Gomez has scored goal for Turkish side , game has been played in more equal levels. Same could not have said for Lokomotiv. In fact, only organised attack by Lokomotiv during whole game had ended with a goal by Maicon.

Regardless of that it was important draw for Besiktas for it aim to still qualify from group and even have chance to end group at the top position are still possible. The race for first two spots at the group still goes on with 3 teams: Lokomotiv, Besiktas and Sporting, with Skenderbrau being outsider.
It was also important to get a point in the stadium where Lokomotiv didnt yet lose in this season.

Overall, even through Besiktas did not provide great game in performance wise, it was important point for future plans at Europa League against tough opponents.

There is new Galatasaray after national team break. 

Following the national team break, we have seen totally new Galatasaray in the sense of performance and motivation at the team. Club has 4:1 win against Gaziantespor at the league and crucial win against Benfica at Champions League: 2:1. Most notably in both games Galatasaray was losing 1:0 and was able to make comeback.

There are still some aspects which could be questioned with performance of team but there is huge improvement at the discipline and motivation at the club. It is clear that Hamza Hamzaoglu has lots of talk with administrators during national team break to find solutions of the problems at the team and have solved them in fast period.

On Sunday, Galatasaray will play derby game at Sukru Sarocoglu against Fenerbahce in the stadium where it didnt win its opponent for 16 years. Galatasaray control of the game was at Champions League level. 

Galatasaray has gained very important 3 points at the Champions League game against leaders of Group C Benfica with 2:1 win at the home ground. Even more important club has won its first Champions League game in 11 games.

In fact, game have started not in great scenario as team has conceded in 2nd minute by fast-paced attack by Benfica. However, after penalty kick by Selcuk Inan and especially after Podolski at the end of 1st half the performance of team went up and it had whole control of the remainding of the game.

Galatasaray has played in a way how mediocre team should play against stronger team, just like
Benfica is currently. It had controlled pitch in good way and didnt make any big mistakes which could provide chances to Benfica.

In overall Galatasaray has provided huge improvement in this game and can go to important derby on Sunday against Fenerbahce with big confidence and motivation.

Fenerbahce can start new beginning against Ajax

Fenerbahce, in similar manner as Galatasaray, is having very tough week both at Europa League and in Super League. The game against Ajax which will take place tomorrow would certainly figure out the possible chances of Fenerbahce to get into knock-out stage of tournament, which is minumum requirement put on coach Vitor Pereira by club.

In yesterday blog, it was stated that Galatasaray performance against Genclerbirligi should not be put as reference for Benfica game. In similar manner, Fenerbahce poor game against Kayserispor should not be reference for Ajax. Quite opposite, the effortless game by club on Sunday could mean team to be less tired prior to crucial game.

As been reminded by Turkish media today, Robin van Persie youth career was started at Feyenoord, team which hates Ajax due of rivarly in the country. This could provide extra motivation for van Persie to perform especially good and try to score against opponents. At short, if Fenerbahce plays its best football which most people aware their can then the draw could be minumum result expected from game. But its all about staying focus and be agressive.

If Galatasaray thinks Benfica as same level as Genclerbirligi than their are in big trouble.

Following 4:1 win against Genclerbirligi on Saturday, Galatasaray is going to play against Benfica on Wednesday at the crucial Champions League game with high motivation and also in similar starting 11 which was present at second half at the game in weekend.

Galatasaray head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu had decided that his gameplay which was present at second half is the key for success of the team in this period. However, it is important to note that Genclerbirligi is not at the same level as Benfica so this tactics even through sounds reasonable might be dangerous one also.

One of the aspects and criticism which club seems to have for not having good stable season is lack of organisation and healthy attacking style. It is important for club to not forget about defence which was not important in game against Genclerbirligi.

As the game against Astana, has prove its hard to win at the Champions League and since club will play even stronger team, Benfica, it should focus into them and not been tricked on win against Genclerbirligi.
Trabzonspor has problems, but its not with head coach. 

Currently at the Super League, as it is normal in the leagues around the world, there are currently teams which are having great season so far and ones who are not. Among those teams, especially last 4 weeks, are undoubtedly Trabzonspor. But compare to other few teams, the problem is not in head coach but in administrative site of the team.

Since 2011-12 season, after match-fixing scandal, Trabzonspor was focussing too much into external issues surrounding club and hence leading to degrease of performance in team itself. Current CEO of team Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu agressive talks and impatience from external and internal issues also does some harm to the club performance.

Biggest mistake which team can do right now is fire Shota Arveladze, which again would lead to Haciosmanoglu to start looking ways to solve issues either tackling them himself. Either Haciosmanoglu keep acting victim or try to solve issues to make team again fighting for title.

Terraneo days as Fenerbahce Sports Director are numbered. 

Fenerbahce Sports Director Guiliano Terraneo was seen as hero in the eyes of the fans and club during summer transfer period but right now, only after 2 months, he is seen by some as source of problem with the club.

Sports Director role at the club is to look for new players and manage team and solve internal issues among players. Transfer aspect of Terraneo was done in high manner, only problem which he had is to sell Emre Belezoglu without telling him. It was unethical action.

Apart of this issue which arleady brought bad image to Terraneo, he has problems to solve teams problems inside. In fact, he doesnt do anything apart from looking at the side. This behaviour was arleady criticised by administrators including CEO of club Aziz Yildirim.

Currently there are even rumours that club plans to fire Terraneo and instead hire Emre Belozoglu, one of the reasons why Terraneo is not liked now.

Trabzonspor needs to start winning if it wants to finish league successfully.

Trabzonspor which is having currently a very bad luck at the Turkish Super League has raised its lost streak up to 4 games, following game against so far worst team at the league Mersin Idman Yurdu. The only defence which Trabzonspor can have against this loss is that its opponents had appointed new coach Bulent Korkmaz who was playing his second game at the club.

In the blog, which focussed into Trabzonspor following game against Konyaspor team was criticised for playing slow pace football, which seems to be main reason for the recent losses for club. Until Mersin Idman Yurdu player Pedriel didnt recieve second yellow card at 63rd minute Trabzonspor was playing slow football and only start doing effective attacks after that which in return was appointed with 2 goals.

The club which seems to be in great condition after 3 weeks, including win against current leaders Besiktas, now seems to be in great crumbles. Interesting part, even through club head coach Shota
Arvaladze has gave sign of resignation after game, it is not his fault. There are so many things happening at the club both internally and externally (as been stated in yesterday preview) that it affects into psychology of the players.

If Trabzonspor aim is to get at least European spot at the end of the season, it should find ways to win games because clubs ahead of them are playing great football. Apart of classical Istanbul top 3, club such as Konyaspor, Antalyaspor are playing great football and each week gap will be widening if Trabzonspor will lose games.

Besiktas and Fenerbahce Super Cup suggestion is a good idea. 

There are been very active discussions about playing Turkish Super Cup game between Fenerbahce and Besiktas, which suppose to take place in Summer of 2011-12 season but was cancelled due of match-fixing scandal.

Since both Fenerbahce and Besiktas were acquinted from match-fixing charges, it become legitimate for both clubs to play following game and it is all important what decision would Turkish Football Federation give. Assuming that decision of court will be approved, Federation can either give green light for idea or say that this game is "out of date".

The idea of the game is to take place in friendly manner and be shown as celebration in  as both sides who are been damaged but in the end victorius during match-fixing investigation. Even through tournament wise it might not have much legitimacy, it could be great friendly style game which both fans would enjoy watching.

Galatasaray might not end positive mood this weekif it will not be careful.

This week is especially important for Galatasaray and Fenerbahce as after both clubs play an important game at European arena there will meet against each other in which there is possibility that winner will end as leaders (or make Besiktas more comfortable leader).

Today, looking by Galatasaray perspective it could be noticed in sense of gameplay and performance it is in good form, but once again apart of game of Trabzonspor it had some trouble at important games.

Despite of fact, that Galatasaray in motivation sense seems to be in high note than Fenerbahce it doesnt make them necessarily favourites. At the end of the week, since Galatasaray performance still raises some questions, including first half against Genclerbirligi, there is possibility that club will end at the low note.

Best thing Galatasaray can do for now is to focus into Champions League game against Benfica and play positive football even if it will lose. Quaresma has brought important win against tough opponents

One of the most awaiting games of the 8th week at the Super League was between Besiktas and Caykur Rizespor, as it was game against best attacking team so far at the league against team which only lost one game.

During first half of the game, it was in fact an equal game between two team and in same time it was fast paced game. Even through Besiktas did not score a goal, it needs to be noted that team has played in same attacking manner as it done every week. However, good defence by Rizespor and some attacks by them has shown why its a team which only lost one game.

Up to 63rd minute, it could be qualified as fast game where both teams has played its own game and tried to get point/s. However, Ricardo Quaresma, who has entered into game at 2nd half, has scored a very important goal for the club and has proven to the club and its supporters that he did not have return to the club this summer for nothing. After Quaresma, Besiktas has continued to play great  and had control of the  game and could at least two more goals.

Besiktas with another positive looking performance has gained latest win and had regained its leadership at the Super League. Of course, its hard to know how Besiktas will play in upcoming weeks but its certain that team's head coach Senol Gunes is getting best out of his players currently. Meanwhile, in Rizespor sight, it could be certain that club will play good game in following games and might bring some trouble to other teams, including champion contenders.

Van Persie free-kick was only good think in game against Kayserispor.

In contrast to the game between Besiktas and Rizespor, Kayserispor - Fenerbahce could not be categorised as such excitement and might even be one of the boring games so far played in Super League this season.

One of the main aspects of game to be so poor is poor performance by Kayserispor and not showing any threat towards Fenerbahce until last 20 minutes. Plus those attacks had only took place because of Fenerbahce players were so laid back that an unexpected attacking football by Kayserispor had brought shock towards them. Taking account how dangerous were Kayserispor attacks at those moments, Fenerbahce needs consists itself lucky to win game.

However, goal scorer of the game was Robin van Persie with his great freekick showing reasons to club and fans why he was brought in first place. That goal was also very important undoubetly for Van Persie himself as he has tough times at the club and also elimination of Dutch national team from Euro2016 qualifiers. It can be said that van Persie goal would raise motivation very highly even through its uncertain if he will continue in high pace.

Another plus for Fenerbahce is to have calm non-effortless game prior to games against Ajax in Europa League and Galatasaray at Super League. Coming to Kayserispor, the club is having poor game with lack of organisation, as club head coach Tolunay Kafkas said himself aim of the team is not to be relegated.

Trabzonspor needs to forget its internal and external issues if it wants to win Mersin Idman Yurdu.

Despite of having great start at this season Super League, Trabzonspor has lost last 3 games and seems to lack of fast-paced performances in games. However, tomorrow game against last-placed Mersin Idman Yurdu could be great attempt for the club to start its new winning streak.

Trabzonspor in last two weeks had very active last two weeks which could affect negatively to the club. First, decision to acquint Fenerbahce at match-fixinging, which negatively affects its argument for 2010-11 title.
