Loss of concentration has lost game in duration of 6 minutes.
Turkish National Team has been relegated from Euro 2024 after losing to Dutch National Team with 2:1 scoreline but did show very good performance at the game but did provide too much defensive game at 2nd half.
Even through Dutch National Team did come out at the game as favourites, it has been expected for Turkey to provide some difficult moments towards Dutch during whole game and it did just did that at 1st half as it did provide an effective attacking game on the field with providing organised attacking game especially after 20th minutes and in fact did find great goal from set piece as Arda Guler provided great cross with Samet Akaydin scoring goal becoming another defender to find goal. However, during 2nd half Turkey has been focussed into providing defensive game and went to deep which had negative impact towards team without doubt and it has conceded suddenly 2 goals within 6 minutes at 70-76 minutes which has been main reason for team losing this game but when looking overally it should be mentioned that Turkey did provide an effective game but loss of concentration did cost a lot in this stage.
Still, Turkey has provided lots of positive notes at this game and did provide lots of promises with this young players and this game has been very valuable lessons for players.
Dutch has shown experience and fighting spirit at 2nd half to get to semi-final stage.
Meanwhile, it needs to be mentioned that Dutch national team has managed to get crucial win and get to semi-final during of its experience at 2nd half after having an issue to get into game at 1st half.
Dutch National Team it needs to be mentioned didnt start at the manner which it has wanted as it didnt manage to get many chances and has looked to be pretty passive after 20th minutes but things did change following 2nd half as it start to provide much more attacking pushing Turkey much more and has created lots of chances and has eventually found goal on 70th minute and has shown strong reaction after that moment. Holland might not be having strongest team in recent history but this experience and fighting spirit has led them to found such crucial win as it did created chances back-to-back and even through it did have dangerous chances on its goal, Dutch has shown organised defensive game.
Therefore, Dutch with effective game on 2nd half and experience did get an important game and are having real chances to get to final game as it would play against England at semis.
Turkey either needs to improve defence or push its defensive line closer to midfield.
One of the factors which has led for Turkey to lose to Dutch has been performance at 2nd half which once again sadly does identify that Turkey does have an issue with defenders.
It needs to be mentioned that Turkey has shown great defensive game against Austria and also improved defensive game compare to group stage but still it did make some defenders issue at Dutch game which does show that there is risks taking place at that area might have some dangerous circumstances and hence without forgetting defence it needs to keep its game less close to defenders with midfielders playing more important role when playing against any opponent. Of course, it is easier said than done but this could be tactical smart game as going to deep would open opportunities and speed of opponent especially when teams like Portugal and Holland would led to create some important chances.
Therefore, solution to this in upcoming games is either to improve defence which could be difficult at short run or try to find solutions with focussing more into midfielding game when opponent start playing more attacking without getting too much into defence.
