What happened in Turkish football today? 21/07/2024

TFF considers to raise foreign players limit from 12 to 14.

It is reported that TFF with its new CEO Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu are considering to raise foreign players limit from 12 to 14 players which if true would be welcomed from Turkish clubs.

With foreign players limit has been one of the most discussed subject areas in recent years with especially big clubs requesting to raise limit or even have it unlimited,it was expected that TFF with its new administration team would reconsider limit. It is rumoured at Turkish sports community that limit could be raised to 14 from 12 which would be small rise but this could be happening as step-by-step raise as team would need to make team building accordingly. Once again this is not offical statement and it would be expect for current administration to make statement in upcoming week.

Needless to say, our accounts would report new foreign players limit as soon as it would be announced.

Fenerbahce made deal with Gustav Isaakson.

It is reported at Turkish and Italian sports media that Fenerbahce has made transfer deal with Lazio player Gustav Isaakson for 4-years.

With this being only rumour, it would be mentioned that to some extend this development did come out of nowhere as there were any talks about this transfers at media. It needs to be mentioned that if rumour is true, he would be an important addition as Isaakson is being player with high potential and could strength Fenerbahce performance for upcoming season as his team Lazio does consider to sell him which does raise opportunity of this transfer even higher.

As been mentioned if this rumour is true it would be important addition to the side and could fit tactical game of Jose Mourinho.

Galatasaray prevents Baris Alper Yilmaz and Kerem Akturkoglu to turn even better players.

Galatasaray are determined not to sell its players Baris Alper Yilmaz and Kerem Akturkoglu during summer transfer window which could be big mistake towards players as it would be better for players development.

To some extend, Galatasaray doesnt consider to sell both players which could be seen as egoistical move as both names both in sense of career stage and age are in perfect time to show strong and confident performance and also with economical conditions due of raise of value after Euro 2024 would be also smart for players but with an aim to become champions also next season, does prevent with players to develop as players. Stating that it would be expected for top clubs to provide pressure to Galatasaray and possibly players recieving offers which players would not be willing to decline.

Hence, it would be interesting to see regarding fate and developments of both players future for players during this summer transfer window.
