What happened in Turkish football today? 25/07/2024

Trabzonspor got 2:0 win at away game but didnt show an effective game at all.

Trabzonspor got an important win at away game against Ruzemborog with 2:0 scoreline but it needs to be mentioned that Turkish side did provide too many chances to its opponents and game has only ended with clean sheet thanks to Ugurcan Cakir.

Trabzonspor did come out to game as favourites and this has been seen with scoreline but it needs to be mentioned that gamewise it did have trouble at getting upper hand of the game apart of few minutes at the start of 2nd half and apart of that it did provide many chances to Ruzemborog which some chances didnt come due of last touches or unluck for them but mainly due of crucial saves from goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir. Crucial 2:0 win for Trabzonspor did come due of quality factor which could be seen from 2 goals, especially 2nd one but this game should be taken as lesson without doubt as Trabzonspor is very far from ideal performance. Without doubt Abdullah Avci did take many notes from this performance and would seek for crucial improvement for upcoming games in the season.

Ruzemborog as been noted did provide actually pretty impressive performance on the field with showing good attacking game but did lack last touch and didnt also pass Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir but still could be happy with effort given by them.

Trabzonspor hence did get crucial result and would prepare calmly for 2nd leg with a focus to show better game in Trabzon next week.

Basaksehirspor as expected got an easy win against La Fiorita.

Basaksehirspor as would be expected did get confident win against San Marino side La Fiorita with 6:1 scoreline as it has dominated game from start to an end.

With all respect to San Marino opponent, it was expected prior to game that Basaksehirspor will not have any serious issues from its opponent and this turned out to be case as it did create high number of the chances with almost all of them ended up being with dangerous attack and 6 goals being scored. Positive aspect of the game is that Basaksehirspor did show on field that their were focussed to game and did aim for good game regardless of opponent and their have shown just that at the end of the game.

La Fiorita did come out to the game with knowing that it was underdog and tried to show its best game with giving some signs of its in some parts of the game. Highest and positive point has been scoring 1 goal even through it did come out when score was 5:0.

Basaksehirspor hence got an upper hand of this tie and would now travel to San Marino with calm manner and possibly coming out with 2nd or even 3rd squad treating it more like friendly game.

Fenerbahce signs Youssef En-Nyseri for 5-years with record amount of 19,500,000 transfer fee.

Fenerbahce has signed Sevilla player Youssef En-Nesyri for record amount of 19,500,000 euro for 5-years as it could become one of the most discussed and eye-catching during whole summer transfer window in Turkey.

It was known for long-time during this summer transfer window that main priority for Jose Mourinho this summer at Fenerbahce has been to sign En-Nesyri and with intense and ongoing transfer negotiations, Fenerbahce has managed to make deal for 19,500,000 euro making him most expensive transfer in Turkish football history with an agreement of payment to be done with 8 installments as Fenerbahce as would be expected doesnt have so much money. With En-Nyseri meanwhile joining team at such short period before start of the season, he might have some issues with getting adapted to the team but he would be big help to them without doubt.

Fenerbahce hence did sign a very important transfer and if En-Nyseri would be able to fulfill his expectations, he would play an important role at team title race.
