Turkey has shown outstanding performance against strong favourite Austria.
Turkey has reached to quarter-finals of Euro 2024 after beating Austria with 2:1 scoreline as it has been seen as favourite but Turkey in overall has shown one of the most organised game during this season and defence which has been highly criticised during this tournament has shown outstanding performance at the field.
It has been mentioned that Turkish National Team is being side which does improve as tournament progresses and did once again has shown outstanding performance at the knockout stages. It needs to be mentioned that game did start at most ideal and perfect scenario as Merih Demiral goal from corner has provided confidence for rest of the game and did allow team to control game and also provide defensive game as game progressed. It needs to be mentioned that Austria has shown dominant game and did look for a goal as it got even towards a bit of panicking game, but with Turkey being clearly stressful but still didnt show any signs of panic which has led for side to get such memorable performance. Stating that without doubt moment of the game has been save from Mert Gunok at the last minute of the game which did come out with getting all fighting performance and an attitude to get through. Turkey is becoming totally different side at knockout stages and it has proven that once again with outstanding performance.
Austrian National Team without doubt didnt expect an early goal which it conceded from Merih Demiral which did affect into how it did perform but still it did try to get control of the game, but as would been expected team has shown dominance in 2nd half but with Merih Demiral 2nd goal before goal going to 2:1 and also save from Mert Gunok did prevent. Austria did leave mark of this tournament and would be remembered but things didnt go as planned for them.
Turkey has got an historical win and would now look forward towards Austria game as team showed strong character and willingness with being fully focussed and organised against very tough opponent.
Halil Umut Meler does have great competition in Germany.
Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler as been noted on our blog entries has provided pretty confident performances during this Euro 2024 campaign including at the game between Turkey and Slovakia.
Halil Umut Meler without doubt did look to be more confident at the field when comparing with Super League performance which did come out that he didnt feel under much pressure for how this game should be played, media and UEFA in generally with players also showing respect towards referee with only some reactions which does happen at every game around Europe. Meanwhile, such good performance from UEFA towards Halil Umut Meler without doubt would mean that at least 1 game would be likely to be appointed at this tournament possibly semi-final game.

Trezeguet has left to Egypt national team despite of Trabzonspor not allowing him
It is reported that Trabzonspor did join Egyptian National Olympic Team which is preparing for Paris 2024 Olympics despite of club declining him travelling due of important games coming up for Europa League qualifiers.
It needs to be mentioned that every player would like to play for national team regardless what is competition, and hence action from Trezeguet is being reactionary and at same time he does show that he would like to be in Olympics in whatever costs. Stating that Trabzonspor would need to give him high fine for such action as to show him and all other players that such actions will not be acceptable whoever the player is. With at middle of summer transfer window there is also possibility that Trabzonspor might consider to sell him.
It could be understandable his actions but same time is being disrespectful to club decision which is not acceptable for professional player and hence Trabzonspor would need to provide right action for this.
