What happened in Turkish football today? 26/01/2023

Besiktas are expected to have difficult game against Alanyaspor

Turkish Super League is going to be resumed with Besiktas and Alanyaspor game as Besiktas currently aims to continue its winning streak but it would be expected to be tough game as opponent is known to get some unexpected surprising result from big clubs.

It needs to be mentioned that even through Besiktas did manage to win 4 games back-to-back and are being coming to the game at high confidence and morale, it does fail to show entire dominance of the game for 90 minutes, continuing to show significant amount of reduction of performance during 2nd half. It needs to be mentioned also that Alanyaspor tend to be side which does show strong positive football and always aiming to create chances regardless who is opponent hence. Therefore, it would be expected for Alanyaspor to show brave and open game and provide lots of pressure to Besiktas and therefore it would be especially important during this game for Besiktas to show top level game for 90 minutes against such opponent.

Besiktas are being favourites due of opponent but as been noted Alanyaspor tends to show some extra good football against top clubs.

Galatasaray has signed professional contract with 2 of its academy players.

Galatasaray has signed professional contract with its academy players Emirhan Kayar until 2025 and also with Jankat Yilmaz until 2026 as both players does have lots of potential at the future.

This contracts without doubt does show that Galatasaray are showing strong trust towards 2 players in the future of the club it needs to be mentioned that it would be important for side to also provide some playing time as it continues to be side which players foreign players most. Meanwhile, Jankat did enjoy some playing time at the Turkish Cup earlier this season and did provide some positive performances level. It would be big role for Okan Buruk to work with both players and pay attention to they developments and hopefully give some playing time.

Galatasaray does tend to sign its academy players but doesnt give much playing time so its crucial for not making such mistake again for future of the club and national side.

Injury of Josef de Souza would last for another 3-4 weeks

It has been reported that injury of its player Josef de Souza could be taken an additional 3-4 weeks which without doubt would be unwanted development for side as he plays an important role at the midfield.

Josef de Souza is being player which does show some strong performance at the Turkish league for long time and his key role has been and would been affected in upcoming period for sure. Therefore, in here it would be important for Senol Gunes to continue using his current squad in more effective manner with Jackson Muleka is likely to be taking role of main midfielder in his absence.

In here, it would be crucial for Josef de Souza to take care of himself and focus into have effective recovery from this unwanted injury.
