Besiktas won game despite of scare which been given from Cenk Gonen.
Goals from Cenk Tosun and last minute one from Josef de Souza against Konyaspor has kept Besiktas at the race for top spot despite of fact that Cenk Gonen position where he conceded goal from loss of concentration.
Besiktas has started game in pretty nightmarish scenario as it has conceded on 50th second at the position where Rosier has provided very simple pass to goalkeeper but due of lack of concentration from Cenk Gonen he didnt control ball and all and its been own goal from that position. It needs to be mentioned that after that unwanted moment Besiktas did get control of the ball and did create some opportunities but it is difficult to state that side has got full control and dominance of the game. It needs to be mentioned also that during 1st half, absence of Wout Weghorst has been felt as there was lack of last touches. Still, Besiktas has provided more pressure to Konyaspor goal during 2nd half and has found goal from Cenk Tosun. With that goal Besiktas got even more confidence and started providing much more pressure towards Konyaspor and did find winning goal from Josef de Souza at last minute. It could be mentioned that Besiktas did pass its first test after Weghorst left side but its been difficult game.
Konyaspor on their part did have some good positions and did provide some pressure but the quality factor and also awareness of importance of the game did push behind. Possibly an early goal from Cenk Gonen also had a negative impact to them as Besiktas been side to provide pressure to them.
Besiktas hence did get an important win in sense of confidence and motivation especially taking account in scenario which has been played and also it became clear that side can win games with Weghorst but it does need an attacker if it doesnt want to lose games in future.
Trabzonspor keeps its title hopes arrive with Basaksehirspor win
Trabzonspor has got a crucial win against Basaksehirspor who are been above them in the table and also continues its undefeated run at the home ground and hence reduced point difference with league leaders Galatasaray to 10 points.
It needs to be mentioned that winning goal did come from goal from Bakasetas on 21st minute which did come from Basaksehirspor goalkeeper Volkan Babacan could not prevent ball to enter to the net even if it was under his full control but due of lack of concentration he has conceded goal. Following that goal, at the game which wasnt played at necessarily fast tempo Trabzonspor has provided an organised game with creating some chances and successfully preventing Basaksehirspor to provide effective attacking game. It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor has been played under possibility pressure as it lost to Alanyaspor on previous week and despite being at home this nervousness which been created due of this game has been visible as it aimed to provide more controllable game. Still, this focus into not losing rather then winning has been reason for such concentration of the game as it has used its only chance with Bakasetas goal.
Bakasetas which did come out to the game with 8 points difference against Galatasaray and side which been highly praised continues to losing points and even more important has decline of performance. It does look like Emre Belozoglu would need to find solution for this ineffective performance if it wants to stay at leadership race.
Trabzonspor hence got very important to stay at the race to fight for title but as been noted beforehand, side is being at knife-edge as it would need to win almost all games in rest of the season.
Galatasaray has got confident impressive win against Hatayspor
Galatasaray continues showing strong and confident performance at the Super League as it has beaten Hatayspor with 4:0 scoreline as it has dominated game especially 1st half and played controllable game during 2nd half.
It needs to be mentioned that Hatayspor providing poor performance and not providing any pressure towards Galatasaray has made task easier for Istanbul giant, but it needs to be admitted that effective game from Galatasaray has also prevented to get into game especially Kerem Akturkoglu goal on 4th minute has played an important role as sides like Hatayspor tend to lose confidence and motivation when playing against such opponents.
