Galatasaray gets to quarter-final with tough win against Alanyaspor

Galatasaray has reached to the quarter-final of the Turkish Cup after beating Alanyaspor with 2:1 scoreline at pretty tough game as their opponents has provided strong resistance as they tend to do so in recent games.

It needs to be mentioned that with Galatasaray coming out to the game with big rotation as it didnt get 8 players into its squad had let for side to have such tough game as it was pretty unexpected for head coach Okan Buruk making such big rotation against such opponent. Galatasaray it needs to be mentioned did have pretty good start as it did create some good opportunities and have scored an early goal by Victor Nelsson who did score his 1st goal during this season and Mertens goal on 38th minute had let side to get an advantage for 2nd half. It needs to be mentioned that both goal has been great goals as Dries Mertens has been player of the game with a great goal and assist. However, things for Galatasaray did become slightly difficult as Alanyaspor has provided good performance during 2nd half with finding great goal and also providing lots of pressure getting close to equalising goal but Galatasaray has managed to resist.

Even through Alanyaspor has been relegated during game, side did become showing strong and effective game during whole game and especially 2nd half hence continuing to provide quality game against strong sides and especially Galatasaray and did get an important confidence for 2nd half.

Galatasaray hence enters to quarter-final of the Turkish Cup and hence has set an eye to end this season with double as it would now focus to league game against Antalyaspor this weekend.

Besiktas could focus into Turkish Cup during this season.

Besiktas will be resuming its Turkish Cup campaign at away game against Ankaragucu as it would be 1st game in that ground following an incident with capital side hooligan entering into field with an attempt which led for Josef de Souza getting red card for preventing that supporter.

When looking into the football game, even through Besiktas are still seeing quite naturally league title as an aim for rest of the season, with that aim getting further by each week due of point difference, Besiktas would very likely take this game pretty serious. It needs to state however that even through club did get through 2 stages so far, it did struggle at each game with finding goals pretty late on game and having pretty nervous games especially in 1st half. Even through Ankaragucu doesnt provide very good performance in the league, it would likely to focus into this game pretty serious and provide some pressure towards Besiktas.

Taking account that Besiktas could not come out with its ideal starting 11, Ankaragucu could be aiming to provide some pressure towards Besiktas during this 90 minutes.

Trabzonspor aims to get win at the away game against Umraniyespor

With Super League journey during this season for title holders is going in unstable manner, Trabzonspor in similar manner might be treating Turkish Cup in more serious manner as it would be meeting with Umraniyespor.

Umraniyespor on their part are not having very good 1st season being at the relegation zone, which is always being good opportunity to regain confidence even through there is possibility that due of critical situation at the league it might not put this game into priority. Trabzonspor on their part are looking for ways to improve its performance at away game, and this game could be good opportunity to get good result in Istanbul and psychologically overpass away game factor. Trabzonspor hence are expected to be coming out for the game to keep its confidence and motivation on high note following against Basaksehirspor at league.

Hence, Trabzonspor would be coming out to the field as it would be seeking ways to end its poor away game run in recent games.
