Fenerbahce got win despite showing poor performance.
Fenerbahce has got an important win against Umraniyespor but it needs to be mentioned that it did provide pretty poor and ineffecitve performance, especially during 2nd half and signs of providing drop of performance continues to be visible.
Without doubt, win against Umraniyespor has been difficult one partly for slow and ineffective performance of Fenerbahce at the front and also good defence of Umraniyespor. Without doubt good defensive game by Umraniyespor and also using its minumum opportunities in good manner by last-spot side should be praised, but it needs to be mentioned that high tempo and dominating game which has been seen prior to World Cup has been reduced dramatically from Fenerbahce. Only positive aspects which could be gained from this game is that side has stayed focussed and did fight until end of the game with finding winning goal on 89th minute which would be an important characteristic at the game which things are not going well for title race.
Fenerbahce hence continues to be winning game and winning this game where it shown poor performance would be good for morale and confidence.
Criticism towards referees would be punished by PFDK.
TFF CEO Mehmet Buyukeksi following draw of Turkish Cup quarter-final games has stated that from 20th January guideline at PFDK has added factor that criticism by anyone in club towards refees would be punished.
Foremost, its need to state that performance of referees at Super League are not being very good and without doubt does need lots of improvement especially in trainings including going through knowledge of rules. However, it needs to be mentioned that high number of criticism towards referee which goes up to threatening language only does harm to them and also affects they performance at the games. Due of high amount of pressure which referees got from coaches and administrators without doubt has a direct impact into how they perform due of so much pressure and stress.
Hence, it would be very important for all administrators and coaches to be more careful with allegations and be more empatic towards referees, saying that same should be done vice versa.
Fenerbahce has called for Galatasaray to have debate to defend its accusations
On-going fight between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray especially by administrators has taken new twist as Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc has called for opponents to have TV debate where Galatasaray would mainly defend they allegations towards them.
It needs to be mentioned that both clubs, but especially Galatasaray has raised allegations which been done towards Fenerbahce during recent period, with recent one stating that PFDK decision has been done by person who is involved with Fenerbahce, accusation which is not proven meanwhile. This accusations without doubt does raise tensions not only between two clubs but whole Turkish football and hence this call would make Galatasaray at least make sure to defend they need. For years, clubs do provide accusations but dont support with any proof and this call from Fenerbahce calls to prove them.
Stating that, it is highly expected for Galatasaray to except this debate call and we would follow recent developments on this matter.
