Fenerbahce looked confident during 2nd half.

Fenerbahce has got confident win against Kasimpasa with big help from Enner Valencia who has scored 4 goals in one game for first time in his career and has kept 4 point difference with league leaders.

Fenerbahce it needs to be mentioned didnt have great start of the game and even through did control game it didnt dominate it and has conceded pretty an early goal from Fall, but it showed significant reaction at the end of the 1st half and with confidence got from this comeback from Valencia, it has dominated 2nd half. Meanwhile, another player who does deserve lots of praise at Fenerbahce has been Arda Guler who looks to be very confident and once again has shown that he is capable to provide top level performance at senior level despite of being 17 years old. It also need to be mentioned that it has been best game from team since league resumed after World Cup and has got significant confidence for upcoming games.

With Galatasaray keep getting results, Fenerbahce needs to carry on winning too and now it would be focussed for sure to Adana Demirspor game.

Besiktas must-win if it wants to stay at title race.

To keep their hopes arrive for league title, Besiktas would need to win 5th game back-to-back as it would be meeting with Fatih Karagumruk which could be tough game as opponent tend to show positive game in recent weeks.

With Galatasaray and Fenerbahce doesnt have intention to be losing points as would been expected, Besiktas is carries on being on knife edge in the title race and for sure it would be coming again to very important game for them. Even through there are some criticism regarding how Besiktas performs, it did get confidence and tend to convert goals with Cenk Tosun with Vincent Aboubakar has high potential to play significant role with finding goals. Fatih Karagumruk meanwhile would need to carry on showing positive game as with such tactic it can find some good positions which it could convert due of defence performance of opponent.

Besiktas are being favourites but without doubt the team is being under big pressure as loss could have negative impact to title aims.

Fenerbahce has signed Jayden Oosterwelde for 4.5 years

Fenerbahce has signed Jayden Oosterwelde for 4.5 years from Parma as player is being an ideal transfer as it solves lots of issues which team had.

One of the important issues that it solves defensive issues at the team as it tends to be weakest area as it does lack good left-back defender even through one which are at squad does show some impact. Another aspect is that player will not be having issue with foreign player limit as he ticks exception of being 21-year old younger and playing at national side. Connected to this, he is seen as potential future star and hence could be good investment in the team for future. Therefore, this transfer for sure would be good investment for this season and also upcoming years.

Jayden Oosterwelde is reproted to be with high potential and now he would be need to focus to fulfill this expectations which clubs has on him.

Fenerbahce got confident win with Enner Valencia scoring 4 goals per game first time in his career.

Fenerbahce has got a confident win against Kasimpasa with 5:1 scoreline at the game where Enner Valencia has scored first time 4 goals in his career in one game and without doubt has been best player on field.

With Galatasaray getting wins back-to-back at the league, it has been important for Fenerbahce not only to win games as being closest opponent but also as side which do get them in confident manner so it could provide pressure. It needs to be mentioned that it has achieved that as it has dominated game especially during 2nd half. It needs to be mentioned that even through prior to 1:1, Kasimpasa was still at the game Fenerbahce did look to be better side and even through it did get behind from Fall goal, there was so signs that Fenerbahce would be able to comeback. With penalty goal from Enner Valencia on 37th minute and team finding goal after 2 minutes again with Valencia it did enter to half-time at high confidence and did come out with much more better psychology advantage during 2nd half and has dominated game with Valencia finding another 2 goals, with arleady scoring 19 goals this season, making it highest scoring season in his career.

Kasimpasa as been noted did provide some good resistance towards Fenerbahce in the start of the game andd did score pretty good goals but as it start conceding, it did lose concentration as conceded goals also came from mistakes. This is an area which needs to be focussed from Selcuk Inan.

Fenerbahce hence an important win and did manage to send Galatasaray that it is capable to provide pressure towards them as long as it plays like that.

Galatasaray got an important win due of quality factor.

Galatasaray continues its winning streak at the Super League as it won against Giresunspor with confident scoreline of 4:0 and has raised that streak to 10 games or 13 if including Turkish Cup games.

It could be argued if Galatasaray did provide much better performance than Giresunspor as regardless of scoreline it needs to be mentioned that game has been played in between but with quality players at Galatasaray and also Giresunspor lacking last touches both due in general level and also have absences of some key players did play a direct role. It needs to be mentioned that Giresunspor did provide its best performance and has created some good opportunities but getting behind to 2:0 without doubt has affected into morale and concentration of the side which hence led for Galatasatay to find 2 more goals. It is quesitonable if most games Galatasaray are showing very good performance but they get wins and thats all matters.

Galatasaray without doubt as whole side is being at high morale and concentration and this factor does put them favourites prior to all games for sure.

Trabzonspor likely to be out of title race after loss to Hatayspor

Our blog keep saying that Trabzonspor is being one-loss away from being outside of the title race and with getting loss to Hatayspor it has used that opportunity and both when looking how side performs at away games and 13 point difference shows that team would have issues for title race.

It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor did provide poor performance whole game including 1st half which it has ended with 1:0 leadership. It did lack creativity and fast tempo performance and its poor defensive game has led for short period in start of the 2nd half to get behind from Hatayspor as opponents did show much more agressive and better game in 2nd half. Trabzonspor does get an extra push from supporters at home games but without them in away games it struggles to show some good performance and look to be ineffective and passive even when it does aim to provide pressure into opponent as they did in the end of Hatayspor game.

Trabzonspor does look to be out of title race due of 13-point difference and also in overall performance of the side as Avci would need to seek to find solution of this issue.

Galatasaray got 10th win back-to-back with win against Giresunspor.

Galatasaray continues its impressive winning run at the league as it has managed to get an away win against Giresunspor with 4:0 scoreline even through it needs to be mentioned that it did struggle until lucky goal from Dries Mertens.

It needs to be mentioned that things did turn around much simpler than expected at such crucial game as Giresunspor tends to be providing strong performance against big 3 clubs and to some extend until mid of 2nd half despite of not creating many opportunities did show why its being such tough opponent. Galatasaray when looking into statistics has been dominating game but there were times during 1st half where it has shown slow tempo. Still, with getting a winning habit as it won 10th league game back-to-back, which is being almost 1/4 of the season and seems to be team to beat even through today's performance still shows that it is being beatable team regardless of scoreline as it didnt show high dominance. One of the important and positive aspects from Galatasaray has been for Dubois, Rashica and Yusuf Akgun to score their first goal and hence it would be important to provide confidence in upcoming weeks.

Giresunspor didnt provide resistance which has been expected from them when looking how it shows performance against top sites but it needs to be mentioned that it didnt come out to the game with good form and also had an important absences especially at front area which been clear with quality of shots.

Galatasaray hence continues its winning streak and even through there are some criticism at level performance despite of its winning run, this factor has shown once again that it is getting important wins which could bring title in the end of the season.

Trabzonspor continues its poor performance at away games.

Trabzonspor continues showing poor performance at the away games as Hatayspor has got 2:1 comeback win thanks to the 2 goals which has been scored at the start of the 2nd half and had provided strong fighting spirit during whole game.

Despite of scoring an early goal with great organised by Barthi on 9th minute, Trabzonspor has shown in general pretty passive game even through it did raise tempo during end of the 2nd half but couldnt find that crucial goal to get at least 1 point. One of the issues from Trabzonspor that after finding a goal it has shown passive and low tempo game and with Hatayspor showing good performance in recent weeks to some extend and also away game issues at Trabzonspor has always kept chances for Hatayspor to show such comeback. With being 10 points behind league leaders right now, Trabzonspor would need to go throw why its showing such ineffective poor game at away games and would need to find solutions to this issue as they chances for league title will be getting less and less. Therefore, Trabzonspor continues showing poor game without providing needed effort and fighting spirit at away games.

Hatayspor didnt show very good performance during 1st half of the game with looking too passive but as been noted above with Trabzonspor away game performance Hatayspor has always been at the game. With showing right attitude during 2nd half which they did in start of 2nd half and has deserved win without doubt.

Trabzonspor hence continues showing poor performance at away games and are getting furter and further away from title race.

Besiktas got impressive win but still needs to improve in some aspects

Besiktas got an important win against Alanyaspor during Super League 21st week with controlling whole game with 3:0 scoreline at the game where Cenk Tosun has scored 2 goals and continues to be main forward player.

Despite of getting confident win, this blog doesnt agree with many Turkish football pundits that Besiktas has dominated game for 90 minutes and still has signs to improve its performance especially at defence. It needs to be mentioned that game has become excited in all parts of the game as for most amount of time it has been played at mediocre tempo. Still, Besiktas did make clear that it did come out for game as Vincent Aboubkakar has been extra motivated for scoring goal and in fact he did score once but its been disallowed due of offside rule. Turning point meanwhile of the game has been penalty goal by Cenk Tosun as it provided confidence as prior to that Alanyaspor did create some chances and continued to do so until it conceded 2nd goal.

It needs to be stated that it has been good win for Besiktas but as team they would need to improve as Senol Gunes stated after game.

Besiktas has got confident win with mediocre tempo against Alanyaspor

Besiktas has got a confident win against Alanyaspor as the game has been played at mediocre tempo for most amount of the game as Besiktas for most amount of the game has controlled tempo and possession of the game.

It could be argued when looking at the game if Besiktas has showed especially extraordinary performance but it has been much better side compare to Alanyaspor and did look to be more focussed into game and wanting into more. It still could be stated that until 2:0 scoreline of the game, game has been in between as both sides did get some good possession as Alanyaspor could both get ahead and equalise as Besiktas goalkeeper Cenk Gonen had a very important saves and hence not letting Alanyaspor to get back into the game. Still, compare to previous game with possibility of playing at home, willingness of players and also Vincent Aboubakar starting game, Besiktas has been pretty creative and willing at the attack as among scoring goals, it did also get other opportunities. It has also been important for Dele Alli, regardless how that goal did come up, to score his 1st opening goal and possibly that would provide willingness and confidence for upcoming game. Besiktas also did improve from previous season and among winning 5-games, has also shown with game that it would fight for title until end of the season.

Even through Alanyaspor did get number of great chances during 1st half, it needs to be stated that there expectations from side to provide much more effective performance but with conceding goals it did lose concentration and motivation. This game could lead for side to learn some lessons for sure.

Besiktas hence got an important win with playing most of the time at mediocre tempo and has raised winning run to 5 games and is being 7 points behind leaders with 2 games in hand.

Giresunspor will provide brave game against Galatasaray.

Galatasaray would be coming out to one of the most tough away games during this season as it would be playing against Giresunspor who tends to show strong performance against bigh 4 clubs with getting surprising results.

It needs to be stated that even through Galatasaray does come out to the game with 9-game run at the league, this should not be confused with factor that this team is being unbeatable as during this period in some of the games, including last week, it has got won due of quality factor and also luck. With Giresunspor aiming to show brave positive attacking game with focussed defensive game, it has provide some serious issues towards Galatasaray as long as it stays focussed and organised. Galatasaray hence needs to be aware of this and possibly provide an extra effort with being focussed for 90 minutes of the game if it wants to continue its winning run.

Galatasaray without doubt are being favourites but it would not be an easy game for them at all as Giresunspor tends to get surprising results.

Hatayspor will aim for surprise against Trabzonspor

When looking into the table and without statistical aspects, Trabzonspor would be coming out as favourites against Hatayspor but it needs to be reminded that it does get unwanted results at away games this season.

Without doubt, main aim for Trabzonspor would be in this game to overgo its poor performance at away games during this season and hence would need to focus into strong attacking game and creativity without forgetting about defence. Even through on first glance Trabzonspor are being strong favourites, Hatayspor would see this game as possibly motivational boost and also extra 3 points and would likely get extra confident and motivated at the game when looking into an away form of Trabzonspor. Hence, Trabzonspor will need to be organised and aim to get through its away game performance.

Trabzonspor are favourites but pressure from recent away games could have negative impact into team.

Besiktas are expected to have difficult game against Alanyaspor

Turkish Super League is going to be resumed with Besiktas and Alanyaspor game as Besiktas currently aims to continue its winning streak but it would be expected to be tough game as opponent is known to get some unexpected surprising result from big clubs.

It needs to be mentioned that even through Besiktas did manage to win 4 games back-to-back and are being coming to the game at high confidence and morale, it does fail to show entire dominance of the game for 90 minutes, continuing to show significant amount of reduction of performance during 2nd half. It needs to be mentioned also that Alanyaspor tend to be side which does show strong positive football and always aiming to create chances regardless who is opponent hence. Therefore, it would be expected for Alanyaspor to show brave and open game and provide lots of pressure to Besiktas and therefore it would be especially important during this game for Besiktas to show top level game for 90 minutes against such opponent.

Besiktas are being favourites due of opponent but as been noted Alanyaspor tends to show some extra good football against top clubs.

Galatasaray has signed professional contract with 2 of its academy players.

Galatasaray has signed professional contract with its academy players Emirhan Kayar until 2025 and also with Jankat Yilmaz until 2026 as both players does have lots of potential at the future.

This contracts without doubt does show that Galatasaray are showing strong trust towards 2 players in the future of the club it needs to be mentioned that it would be important for side to also provide some playing time as it continues to be side which players foreign players most. Meanwhile, Jankat did enjoy some playing time at the Turkish Cup earlier this season and did provide some positive performances level. It would be big role for Okan Buruk to work with both players and pay attention to they developments and hopefully give some playing time.

Galatasaray does tend to sign its academy players but doesnt give much playing time so its crucial for not making such mistake again for future of the club and national side.

Injury of Josef de Souza would last for another 3-4 weeks

It has been reported that injury of its player Josef de Souza could be taken an additional 3-4 weeks which without doubt would be unwanted development for side as he plays an important role at the midfield.

Josef de Souza is being player which does show some strong performance at the Turkish league for long time and his key role has been and would been affected in upcoming period for sure. Therefore, in here it would be important for Senol Gunes to continue using his current squad in more effective manner with Jackson Muleka is likely to be taking role of main midfielder in his absence.

In here, it would be crucial for Josef de Souza to take care of himself and focus into have effective recovery from this unwanted injury.

Istanbulspor has ended contract with its player Aldin Cajic

Istanbulspor has terminated contract with its player Aldin Cajic as player has failed to provide expectations which were set towards him as in overall club is having unsuccessful season and is being before last spot.

Quite naturally, when things are not going well with club performance in overall there seems to be given blame and solution towards coaching performance and also players. With Fatih Tekke being newly appointed to position, club has been looking for players right now. It needs to be mentioned that Aldin Cajic who didnt give much playing time hasnt show very good performance at the club and to open chances for some new transfers at the club which does have lots of economical situation it would be accepted for player to sell current players to open finances at the club.

This move for sure has been expected and we might be hearing some more names to be ending contracts or sold at Istanbulspor in upcoming periods.

Eyupspor has signed Umraniyespor player Yonathan Del Valle

1st league side Eyupspor has laid its eyes to the Super League position for next season is continuing strong transfers during this mid-season transfer window signing Umraniyespor attacker Yonathan Del Valle.

It needs to be mentioned that transfer could be seen pretty surprising from Umraniyespor as it sold one of its key players at the time when it is being at last spot and quite naturally would need to get results which would come with goals. There is possibility however when looking economically Eyupspor which as been mentioned is focussed for top spot at its own league, has provided pretty godo offer both to player and club which would provide push financially. Still, there is possibility that with selling Yonathan Del Valle, Umraniyespor would be actively looking for quality attacker which it can purchase financially.

Umraniyespor is struggling right now and hence it would need to make sure this mid-season transfer window would be effective for them as they would fight to stay at the league.

Fenerbahce has made transfer deal with Jayden Oosterwalde

Fenerbahce are reported to make transfer deal with Parma player Jayden Oosterwalde for 4.5 years with around 8.5 million euro salary as club were having negotiations with him for long time.

Fenerbahce has been having negotiations with player for long time and has taken lots of distance in them as there was an issue of transfer fee but it does seem that all parties has made transfer deal with only some issues left to be sold. It was known that Fenerbahce has been especially focussed towards Oosterwelde during this mid-season transfer window as he is being strong player and would provide an important strength to the team as he is being at quality which Jorge Jesus would like to see. His strength would play an important role with club aim to fight for title without doubt.

Hence, there is expectation that deal would be announced at short period of time and we would report it as soon as it happens.

Fenerbahce got win despite showing poor performance.

Fenerbahce has got an important win against Umraniyespor but it needs to be mentioned that it did provide pretty poor and ineffecitve performance, especially during 2nd half and signs of providing drop of performance continues to be visible.

Without doubt, win against Umraniyespor has been difficult one partly for slow and ineffective performance of Fenerbahce at the front and also good defence of Umraniyespor. Without doubt good defensive game by Umraniyespor and also using its minumum opportunities in good manner by last-spot side should be praised, but it needs to be mentioned that high tempo and dominating game which has been seen prior to World Cup has been reduced dramatically from Fenerbahce. Only positive aspects which could be gained from this game is that side has stayed focussed and did fight until end of the game with finding winning goal on 89th minute which would be an important characteristic at the game which things are not going well for title race.

Fenerbahce hence continues to be winning game and winning this game where it shown poor performance would be good for morale and confidence.

Criticism towards referees would be punished by PFDK.

TFF CEO Mehmet Buyukeksi following draw of Turkish Cup quarter-final games has stated that from 20th January guideline at PFDK has added factor that criticism by anyone in club towards refees would be punished.

Foremost, its need to state that performance of referees at Super League are not being very good and without doubt does need lots of improvement especially in trainings including going through knowledge of rules. However, it needs to be mentioned that high number of criticism towards referee which goes up to threatening language only does harm to them and also affects they performance at the games. Due of high amount of pressure which referees got from coaches and administrators without doubt has a direct impact into how they perform due of so much pressure and stress.

Hence, it would be very important for all administrators and coaches to be more careful with allegations and be more empatic towards referees, saying that same should be done vice versa.

Fenerbahce has called for Galatasaray to have debate to defend its accusations

On-going fight between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray especially by administrators has taken new twist as Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc has called for opponents to have TV debate where Galatasaray would mainly defend they allegations towards them.

It needs to be mentioned that both clubs, but especially Galatasaray has raised allegations which been done towards Fenerbahce during recent period, with recent one stating that PFDK decision has been done by person who is involved with Fenerbahce, accusation which is not proven meanwhile. This accusations without doubt does raise tensions not only between two clubs but whole Turkish football and hence this call would make Galatasaray at least make sure to defend they need. For years, clubs do provide accusations but dont support with any proof and this call from Fenerbahce calls to prove them.

Stating that, it is highly expected for Galatasaray to except this debate call and we would follow recent developments on this matter.

Fenerbahce got an important win despite of poor performance.

Fenerbahce has continued its race for leadership at the league as it has won against Umraniyespor but when coming into the performance, Fenerbahce didnt show very good game and could consider themselves lucky with such win.

Fenerbahce during whole game but especially 2nd half didnt provide very good performance with lacking tempo of the game and didnt provide much pressure to Umraniyespor with lacking creating strong and positive pressure to the Umraniyespor as for most amount of time opponent has managed to prevent Fenerbahce to create them. In all fairness, opponent has shown good resistance but an issue here why Fenerbahce is failing to break such closed defence which it tend to find solutions to in 1st half of the season. Still, its been important during this game is to stay focussed until end of the game as two goals did come in last 15 minutes of the game. Meanwhile, Altay Bayindir continues at going too much ahead in this game as he does in all games and has been main issue for conceding goal.

Umraniyespor it needs to be mentioned did provide good preparation for the game as it prevented Fenerbahce to get too much control and has kept showing reaction after each conceded goal and did find 2nd equaliser, but goal been rightfully disallowed due of previous foul. This game could provide some confidence for upcoming game.

Fenerbahce did provide poor performance against Umraniyespor and only positive aspect that it has won game with such game and has kept 4 points difference with leaders Galatasaray.

Besiktas has got win against Kayserispor but needs to improve.

Besiktas is continuing its winning run as it has won Kayserispor with 2:0 scoreline even through it didnt provide very good performance for 90 minutes but an early goal did make things easier for them.

Without doubt, an early goal from Nathan Redmond with his great shot on 2nd minute did make task for Besiktas much more easier as it got an advantage scoreline which has been build up from goal from Salih Ucan at the end of the half. It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas has shown once again as been seen during season a drop of performance level at the 2nd half as control of the game did go to Kayserispor but side did have fail to provide needed shot quality and passes in the attack and sadly did look like that if game has been for more time with them dominating game they would still fail to score. Besiktas hence didnt show very good game for 90 minutes but still got very important win.

Besiktas still needs to improve but one thing is certain that this 4-game winning run would provide confidence and morale rise for upcoming games.

Trabzonspor got easy win against passive Istanbulspor

Trabzonspor has got an easy win against Istanbulspor without providing too much effort for 90 minutes as Istanbulspor has failed to get into game and has shown pretty passive game even during 1st half.

Trabzonspor didnt need to give too much effort to get win against Istanbulspor as it more or less needed just 5 minutes in the start of the 1st half to get confident win and has shown passive game on 1st half. Istanbulspor which did show some promising signs in recent games, didnt give much effort and there were even moments at 2nd half at defensive game where it wasnt focussed too much even through they are arguments it has been due of losing game. Still, Istanbulspor didnt give any signs it did come out for win. Trabzonspor on they part did get result but despite of clear scoreline like 4:0, it still didnt provide confident and strong performance which would been expected.

This win does give some postiive signs but still is not good reference for upcoming games as it continues to show unstable performance in this season especially at away games.

Besiktas continues winning games despite of struggling at the games.

Besiktas has continued winning run at the Super League up to 4 games even through it needs to be stated that team didnt provide very good performance especially during 2nd half but Kayserispor didnt use high number of its opportunities.

At the game which would been expected to be tough one and regardless of scoreline, did turn out to be like that, Besiktas did start game at high tempo to find an early goal. It has managed to do so at 2nd minute from great shot from Redmond as he did found very beautiful goal which has been also his 1st goal at the league so far. Afterwards, Besiktas did look to be in control even through Kayserispor did also create good chances but goal from Necip Uysal on 42nd minute has been more or less turning point of the game. Kayserispor starting from that goal did rise tempo and did provide some dangerous chances also during 2nd half but Besiktas focus into defensive game did lead them to stay on. Therefore, Besiktas still struggles to provide dominant game and even through it does have 4-game winning run it is hard to state that side does provide performance of dominant game.

Kayserispor did provide forward-seeking performance during 2nd half and also parts in 1st half with aiming to show positive game but it did lack its shot quality as many chances has been either going out or not being good enough to overpass Cenk Gonen. Sadly, it did look like that regardless how much Kayserispor would shot, it wouldnt find goal even if there was more 90 minutes.

Besiktas did get an important win and keeps themselves at the race for leadership but it would need ot find ways to show more dominant game even if winning for 4 games.

Trabzonspor got confident win against Istanbulspor.

Trabzonspor has got confident win against before-last side Istanbulspor at its home ground with 4:0 scoreline as win did come mainly from rising tempo significantly right in the start of the 2nd half as it won 3 games back-to-back.

Even through Trabzonspor are showing imbalanced performance during this season, it still continues undefeated run at the home ground and also taking account that it has played against opponent who is being in poor form it was expected for side to get such confident win. Stating that, it needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor didnt fulfill its expectations with how it has performed during 1st half as it has shown low-tempo game without go forward too much. Even through Istanbulspor didnt provide any resistance, it was side which recently did aim to show some good counter-attacks, so 1:0 scoreline has always been dangerous scoreline so it was expected for Trabzonspor to show that expectation as it found 2 goals within 2 minutes in 2nd half and afterwards has controlled game. It has been also important for Yusuf Yazici to found his opening goal and found 3 goals in one week as he scored 2 goals at the Turkish Cup.

Istanbulspor has been side which did improve in recent games to some extend and did win previous game and hence could been expected to aim to show some resistance with higher confidence and motivationbut it has been pretty far to do so and needs to show more brave game.

Trabzonspor hence build on its confidence and morale from this wins but next week game would be even more important as it would be away game where it mainly lost points during this season.

Galatasaray continues its winning run this time beating Antalyaspor at tough home game

Galatasaray continues its winning run at all of the competitions, as it has won its 12th game back-to-back and 8th win at the Super League as it has won Antalyaspor with 2:1 scoreline even through this time it has been tough win.

With form of both sides and also absences at Antalyaspor, it was expected that Galatasaray would be getting confident win against their opponents but it ended up being much more tougher as Galatasaray didnt provide dominant game which been visible following World Cup. This could be also due of tiredness from Alanyaspor game at Turkish Cup as it been equally tough game. Stating that Galatasaray did improve during 2nd half as it has shown much more organised performance, with Mauro Icardi goal in the start of the half has also provided confidence followed by an own goal from opponent after it has conceded. At 2:1 Galatasaray provided much more organised performance and hence prevented Antalyaspor to equalise once again.

Galatasaray hence its continues impressive winning run at the league and when looking how it performed it needs to be mentioned it got very psychological 3 points at its race for title.

Galatasaray got tough win against Antalyaspor.

Galatasaray has got an important win against Antalyaspor at the game which has become even much more tougher than expected but it needs to be admitted that Istanbul giant has provided good performance during 2nd half and got deserved win.

It needs to be mentioned that compare to most of the previous game Galatasaray didnt have dominant start of the game with providing pretty low tempo performance and low attacks as Antalyaspor to some extend has been side which did create some more dangerous positions. However, Galatasaray did come out to the 2nd half in much more attacking psychology and an early goal in the start of the half from Mauro Icardi has got them into leadership. As Antalyaspor didnt break much after that conceded goal and started providing also attacking game it has equalised by Luis Adriano after 7 minutes but Galatasaray has got lucky goal from an own goal from Floranus who tried to kick out ball to out in position where he wasnt under pressure but ball went to goal instead. Afterwards, Galatasaray has shown much more better reaction compare when it has 1st goal being more careful in defence and also controlling game which led them to get an important win in its route for title.

Despite of the loss, Antalyaspor did come as underdogs by many people due of poor performance in recent weeks but side did show much more stronger performance than expected especially during 1st half and this performance would provide confidence for upcoming game.

Galatasaray hence has got 9 wins back-to-back as it managed to end game as it needed with such win and continues to have strong run at the league and hence being side to beat.

Besiktas would aim to bounce back following Turkish Cup relegation.

Besiktas would be aiming to keep its chances for top of the spot at the league against Kayserispor as it could be turn pretty tough game for them as Besiktas continues have an issue to show top performance for 90 minutes.

With also getting relegated at the Turkish Cup from Ankaragucu, Besiktas would be seeing this game as an opportunity to get confidence back for rest of the season as Super League is being only aim for rest of the season and lets be honest its beeing tough one as there is 10 point difference with game in hand. Hence, Besiktas would be coming out to the game with an aim to win game as also newly-signed player Vincent Aboubakar has been also included at the squad hence solving a forward issue after Wout Weghorst but as he has joined team only recently its still not sure if he would be recieving some playing time. Kayserispor are showing imbalanced performance but if it players correctly it would have chance to get surprising win.

Besiktas hence would need to get winning streak and also showing top performance for 90 minutes at the league and hence it would be seeing Kayserispor as new turning point after Turkish Cup relegation.

Trabzonspor would need to give focus against Istanbulspor as it has issues at away games

Trabzonspor will be seeking a win without doubt against one of the struggling sides at the league Istanbulspor as it would see this game as good opportunity to end its poor results which it gets on away games.

It needs to be mentioned however that even through Istanbulspor is still showing out-of-form, it does some improvement in recent games with getting goals and looking much more confident performance compare to some weeks ago. Hence, Trabzonspor needs to be aware of this as it would need to take this win seriously which it needs to take at any way as loss could literally its being out of title race. Trabzonspor hence would likely aim to provide confident high tempo game and get good scoreline which would also provide them confidence boost for rest of the season. Only negative issue for Trabzonspor is that side has played 120 minutes at Turkish Cup which could make some players tired who played at that club.

Therefore, Trabzonspor are coming out as clear favourites against Istanbulspor but it needs to give full attention for not having unwanted result in the end of the day.

Fenerbahce gets to next stage thanks to Valencia goal.

Fenerbahce has reached to quarter-final of the Turkish Cup as it has managed to beat Rizespor thanks to the last minute goal of the Enner Valencia as side did show pretty patient and controllable game.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did start game in high tempo thanks to the Rizespor not showing an organised defensive game during 1st minutes games which also led for an early goal from Miha Zajc with great assist from Arda Guler. Things in fact did go pretty good for team, but Rizespor has managed to get into more controllable defensive game and did find also an equaliser. It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce after that did continued to control ball but couldnt pass the defence. Even through it did lose that tempo, it still provided patient game against strong defensive game and did raise tempo towards end of the game as it quite naturally didnt want for game to go to extra-time and did find goal with great attacking game which has ended with header from Enner Valencia who continues to be key goal-scorer.

Therefore, Fenerbahce did manage to get to the next stage of the tournament even through it turned out to be much more tougher game as expected from lower league side.

Galatasaray aims to continue its winning streak against Antalyaspor.

Galatasaray are going to resume its league journey as it would be meeting with struggling Antalyaspor side as Istanbul giant has won 11 games in row in all competitions and are showing good performance in recent games.

Among getting wins, Galatasaray are showing dominance in all of its games and doesnt seem to give any signs of having pressure for being leaders especially with great performance of Mauro Icardi in recent games especially. With Antalyaspor showing performance below they level in recent games, it could be expected for Galatasaray once again to show strong and confident performance at the 1st game of the 2nd half of this season. Antalyaspor in they part are aware that they performances is being level which would been expected and could be extra motivated for this game as good performance and win or at least draw could be turning point for them so it would be expected for side to provide some strong performance and resistance.

Galatasaray will be coming as strong favourites due of great performance of side in recent games and quite opposite for Antalyaspor but it would be tough game without doubt.

Fenerbahce has used transfer option with Bruma for 2.5+1 years.

Fenerbahce has used transfer option with PSV Eindhoven player Bruma for 2.5+1 years with 4,250,000 euro fee, as this could be seen as surprising development as it wasnt included at squad due of foreign player limit,

Even through Bruma didnt play at the Super League due of foreign player limit it needs to be mentioned that he did show some good performance at Europa League and also at the Turkish Cup and likely has led head coach Jorge Jesus to be happy with how he has performed. Hence, this usage of option does show that team has lots of expectation and sees potential of him involvement in the team as it is being also long contract which could go up to 4 seasons including this one. Right now, he would need to carry on working hard on training sessions and prove his worth even more to Jorge Jesus to start getting some playing time.

This been unexpected news due of there being rumours that Fenerbahce considers to end contract with him but quite oppositie happened and player would now focus with improvement at the club.

Fenerbahce gets to quarter-final thanks to Enner Valencia goal

Fenerbahce has won Turkish Cup last 16 against 2nd league side Rizespor with 2:1 scoreline as it turned out to be more difficult than it was expected but Enner Valencia great header at the end of the game has brought them ticket to quarter-final.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did start game with providing pressure towards Rizespor goal and created high number of opportunities and after scoring goal at 12th minute with Miha Zajc has continued to create chances. However, as game progressed Fenerbahce has slowed-down game which at first let to concede goal on 26th minute and afterwards failing to pass Rizespor defenders who has shown organised performance at the back. It needs to be mentioned also that for Fenerbahce coming out with big rotatition has also affected performance as side didnt provide similar level dominance which been used in the league game, and also in addition recent drop of performance has also affected to this game. Still, it was noted that Fenerbahce has provided higher pressure with creating lots of chances as it was clear team aims to win game until extra-time which it did that with great header from Enner Valencia.

Rizespor meanwhile didnt start game in good manner and it did look for first 20 minutes that it would not be great night for them, but as Fenerbahce reduced its pressure and Rizespor improved its defensive game it managed to score goal and keep scoreline at draw for long time. Rizespor hence might be eliminated but it did provide some issues to Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce hence got into quarter-final in pretty nervous game for them but great goal of Enner Valencia once again reminded that he is being key player at the team

Besiktas declining performance continued at Turkish Cup.

Besiktas has been eliminated from Turkish Cup after losing to Ankaragucu at penalty shoot-out as both sides did play an exciting game but in all fairness capital city side did want to win game much more.

Besiktas did continue providing two different performance in both halves of the game as it has been pretty ineffective during 1st half with also making huge rotation at the squad which did have direct impact of its performance and has led Ankaragucu to provide confident and strong performance for 120 minutes and penalties. Besiktas did raise performance during 2nd half where it took control of the game which led for game to go to extra-time and later to penalties, but when looking overall it needs to be admitted that Besiktas still struggles to provide top level performance in regular cases and continues not to provide high hopes for rest of the season at the league both due its performance and also point difference.

Besiktas hence continues to be having poor season which also led them for an early relegation from Turkish Cup and it needs to improve performace for its league aims.

Trabzonspor needs to learn lessons from 90 minutes during Umraniyespor game

It took 90 minutes for Trabzonspor to start showing its top level performance against underdogs Umraniyespor as it didnt look like it took game seriously during of 1st half performance which been controlled by Umraniyespor.

It is true that Trabzonspor did suffer from weather conditions as there has been strong win which included moment when ball has returned on field as it was going to out and Trabzonspor did find goals during extra-time when wind has been reduced but this is not being good excuse as in overall side did show some poor performance among having some big rotations. One of the positive aspects among showing such character during an extra time has been great performance of Yusuf Yazici during extra-time as he found 2 goals and provided assist and hence did show signs that he is getting back to strong performance after injury after so much criticism towards him.

Trabzonspor did achieve its aim with being at quarter-final of the tournament but there are many lessons which need to be learned from side.

Besiktas unstable game within game let them to be eliminated to Ankaragucu

Besiktas has been relegated from Turkish Cup last 16 stage as it has lost to Ankaragucu at penalty kick as it fails to provide strong and confident performance on the field for 90 minutes.

Besiktas due of recent form and quality level of the team did come to Ankaragucu as favourites as there was expectations that win against Gaziantep would provide strong confidence boost. However, we did see similar performance from Besiktas on this game as in previous games, as it has provided performance of two halves.Besiktas did look to be pretty passive on the field during 1st half as Ankaragucu has shown much more controllable and focussed game which has also led for side to get goal. It needs to be mentioned that it did provide much more better performance in 2nd half and it has been important for goal to come when they had one less men as Cenk Tosun continues to be taking goal-scoring role at the team. Still, Besiktas rather then building on that didnt use their opportunities as game ended at penalty kicks. With penalty kicks didnt go well, Ankaragucu has got an important win against Istanbul giant.

Prior to game, there wasnt much expectation from Ankaragucu at this game but they have shown strong character and has used its opportunity in great manner with Sowe. Even through it did concede with having an extra men in overall it showed good organised game during whole game.

Besiktas unstable performance within games continues to be issues and it looks like it would bring some unwanted and planned results in rest of the season unless they found solution to this.

Trabzonspor gets to knockout stage even through losing at 90th minute

Trabzonspor has got into quarter-final stage at the Turkish Cup game against Umraniyespor with 4:1 scoreline even through it was losing with 1:0 scoreline when 90 minutes were up as equaliser game on last minute of normal time.

It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor has struggled to get upper hand game of the normal time which been due of rightful performance of Umraniyespor against them and also strong wind which has been taken place at the stadium area and also generally in Istanbul has prevented for both sides to get quality performance. In fact, with wind being reduced when extra time of the game has been started did let for Trabzonspor to get an upper hand. It also needs to be mentioned that Yusuf Yazici which been criticised with his performance at the team after returning from Russia did provide his best performance as he did found 2 goals and also provided strong attacking game. Stating that, Trabzonspor would need to go through why it has struggling for 90 minutes and should not let strong wind during game to blame as opponet also played in same conditions.

Umraniyespor meanwhile has been relegated with such scoreline as 4:1 even through if referee has added a bit less time at quarter-final and should be praised for its game on 90 minutes but in same time it did lose focus and control of the game especially after losing 2nd goal.

Trabzonspor gets to quarter-final but it has been pretty tough for them especially when taking account that it was expected for them to get confident win and need to go through this.

Galatasaray sets an eye for double this season.

Galatasaray has reached into quarter-final stage at very tough win against Alanyaspor at Turkish Cup game with 2:1 scoreline as making big rotation at the team had almost cost them that ticket.

With Galatasaray aiming for double during this season it was pretty surprising for them to make such big rotation against club which tends to provide surprising results against them especially in this tournament in recent years. It needs to be mentioned that starting 11 has not been necessarily bad one but with many players not recieving much playing time in recent games did affect to performance level of the side. It could be mentioned confidently that main reasons for Galatasaray to get such win among good defensive game in 2nd half has been getting result in first half and also great performance of Dries Mertens who have scored great goal and also provided great assist. Galatasaray in whatever way has reached its aim with this result but certainly did get important lessons from this game.

As we are entering into 2nd half of the season, Galatasaray would certainly sets its an eye with strong belief for double in the end of the season but road for sure would become more tougher.

Galatasaray gets to quarter-final with tough win against Alanyaspor

Galatasaray has reached to the quarter-final of the Turkish Cup after beating Alanyaspor with 2:1 scoreline at pretty tough game as their opponents has provided strong resistance as they tend to do so in recent games.

It needs to be mentioned that with Galatasaray coming out to the game with big rotation as it didnt get 8 players into its squad had let for side to have such tough game as it was pretty unexpected for head coach Okan Buruk making such big rotation against such opponent. Galatasaray it needs to be mentioned did have pretty good start as it did create some good opportunities and have scored an early goal by Victor Nelsson who did score his 1st goal during this season and Mertens goal on 38th minute had let side to get an advantage for 2nd half. It needs to be mentioned that both goal has been great goals as Dries Mertens has been player of the game with a great goal and assist. However, things for Galatasaray did become slightly difficult as Alanyaspor has provided good performance during 2nd half with finding great goal and also providing lots of pressure getting close to equalising goal but Galatasaray has managed to resist.

Even through Alanyaspor has been relegated during game, side did become showing strong and effective game during whole game and especially 2nd half hence continuing to provide quality game against strong sides and especially Galatasaray and did get an important confidence for 2nd half.

Galatasaray hence enters to quarter-final of the Turkish Cup and hence has set an eye to end this season with double as it would now focus to league game against Antalyaspor this weekend.

Besiktas could focus into Turkish Cup during this season.

Besiktas will be resuming its Turkish Cup campaign at away game against Ankaragucu as it would be 1st game in that ground following an incident with capital side hooligan entering into field with an attempt which led for Josef de Souza getting red card for preventing that supporter.

When looking into the football game, even through Besiktas are still seeing quite naturally league title as an aim for rest of the season, with that aim getting further by each week due of point difference, Besiktas would very likely take this game pretty serious. It needs to state however that even through club did get through 2 stages so far, it did struggle at each game with finding goals pretty late on game and having pretty nervous games especially in 1st half. Even through Ankaragucu doesnt provide very good performance in the league, it would likely to focus into this game pretty serious and provide some pressure towards Besiktas.

Taking account that Besiktas could not come out with its ideal starting 11, Ankaragucu could be aiming to provide some pressure towards Besiktas during this 90 minutes.

Trabzonspor aims to get win at the away game against Umraniyespor

With Super League journey during this season for title holders is going in unstable manner, Trabzonspor in similar manner might be treating Turkish Cup in more serious manner as it would be meeting with Umraniyespor.

Umraniyespor on their part are not having very good 1st season being at the relegation zone, which is always being good opportunity to regain confidence even through there is possibility that due of critical situation at the league it might not put this game into priority. Trabzonspor on their part are looking for ways to improve its performance at away game, and this game could be good opportunity to get good result in Istanbul and psychologically overpass away game factor. Trabzonspor hence are expected to be coming out for the game to keep its confidence and motivation on high note following against Basaksehirspor at league.

Hence, Trabzonspor would be coming out to the field as it would be seeking ways to end its poor away game run in recent games.

Fenerbahce been lucky to get crucial win against Gaziantep.

Fenerbahce has kept themselves at close range of Galatasaray with a win against Gaziantep at away game but it needs to be mentioned that it has been difficult game for a side which didnt show strong dominant game.

Foremost, it is important to note that it is difficult to beat Gaziantep at their own home ground as it tends to have very good record and actual reason why its being at bottom section of the table is unsuccessful performance at away games. When coming to game, it needs to be mentioned that win did come from Sagal two yellow cards within 10 minutes and also Enner Valencia scoring 2 goals with 1st one being from using an opportunity from opponents big mistake. Still, Fenerbahce did show pretty ineffective performance for 90 minutes and could even lose game if there wasnt red card from Sagal. Hence, it needs to be admitted that we are seeing decline from performance of the whole team and specifically Jorge Jesus in tactical game.

It would need to improve and get close to level it showed before World Cup break if it wants to win title without doubt.

Alanyaspor expected to provide some issues towards Galatasaray at Turkish Cup.

Galatasaray which are showing very good performance during recent games, would get back to Turkish Cup as it would be meeting with Alanyaspor during last 16 stage as it expects to carry on its impressive run in this competition.

Galatasaray didnt come out with 8 players which does include some of regular starters in the league mainly and hence could be stated would be focussed into more substitute side but it would be difficult game for them as Alanyaspor which does have unstable performance and would take Turkish Cup pretty seriously. It also needs to be mentioned that it would be coming out to the game after not playing in last week of the league while before that beating Trabzonspor with impressive result of 5:0 and hence would be pretty fresh and confident for this game. Hence, Alanyaspor could be providing some issues to Galatasaray but still when looking into paper and general form Galatasaray are being strong favourites for this game.

Galatasaray hence are favourites but their would need to be focussed and show full concentration and attacking game against tough opponents.

Konyaspor sacks Ilhan Palut

Konyaspor has terminated contract of its head coach Ilhan Palut after team has lost last 4 games including against Besiktas with 2:1 scoreline.

With Konyaspor showing poor results in recent weeks, club administration has come with decision to terminate contract with its head coach likely believing that team could be getting better performance in this period. When looking at the table Konyaspor is below upper half of the table and are not located too badly but possibly when looking how successful season team had on previous season, administration quite rightfully see this as unsuccessful season. Stating that there is no reports of names which side is looking for right now, so it could be seen surprising decision which does look like did come at short period, possibly being opened after loss to Besiktas.

Konyaspor decision has been unexpected but last 4 games possibly has run passions and seeing bright future with Ilhan Palut as team's head coach.
