What happened in Turkish football today? 02/06/2021

Turkey will be focussing to show effective game against Moldova.

With arriving to Germany following announcing final squad for Euro 2020, Turkish National Team is going to play its final friendly game against Moldova where side would be expecting to be coming with its ideal starting 11 very likely.

It need to be noted that up-to-now Turkey didnt provide very good performance at friendlies game without getting upper hand against Azerbaijan and Guinea but this been mainly reason for Senol Gunes without doubt to be coming out pretty far from ideal squad for this game as he was looking for ideal 26-team player to eliminate 4 players from previous squad. With Gunes this time coming with ideal squad it would allow him to be coming out with best starting 11 which he seeks for Euro 2020 with still possible having some alternatives to check condition of some players which he might be being uncertain regarding of their condition but still it would be expected for side to show strong game compare to previous two.

Turkey would be coming into its final friendly game before Euro 2020 and without doubt side would be expecting to provide strong last impression in this game.

14 foreign players would be selected for upcoming season with 8 players on field.

TFF has announced that during next season 14 players would be allowed to be selected to the 18-team squad out of which 8 players would be allowed at starting 11.

Discussion regarding of foreign players limit has been among long-term issues in the Turkish football for longer time and with Covid19 condition and on-going signing of players made this issue to be on top of the agenta for even longer. It is known that most Turkish club does been focussed into having high number of foreign players which without did provide some pressure towards them and this could been felt from this decision as TFF in fact has been considering to reduce it but as known clubs does provide high pressure to federation and its been incapable to reduce limit. This would be good news for Turkish clubs which once again going to lead them to continue signing some foreign players once again.

This decision been decided once again from pressure from top clubs and would once again lead them to focus into foreign players transfers in summer.

Fenerbahce and Rizespor has changed CEO election to 26th June.

With ongoing Covid19 crises which been continuing around world and in Turkey which did lead for new regulations which kept Sunday to be curfew did lead for movement of election date both from Fenerbahce and Rizespor to 26th June.

Without Covid19 cases and regulations which it brings to the clubs has meant uncertainity for alll clubs which would need to be focussing into CEO election with Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc clearly stating that he didnt expect for Sunday to be fully on curfew which could provide issue for election to be going through in health condition which led them to move it two weeks ahead so it could be taking place at healthy conditions. With strong hope that conditions would be better with Covid19 and hence could provide much calmer conditions for CEO elections going through in better conditions for both clubs and also other clubs which would have it as it is expected for them to be changing dates on upcoming days.

This Covid19 without doubt did provide difficult period for CEO elections to be taking place and would be hoping that new date would be final one.
