What happened in Turkish football today? 15/06/2021

Turkey is capable to get confident win against Wales.

After losing to Italy on openning game of the Euro 2020, Turkey would be playing very important game against Wales where it would seeking to get its first win at Baku, Azerbaijan and possibly entering 2nd week at 2nd spot.

Turkey did provide pretty dissapointing performance against Italy which did provide some worries to its supporters but to some extend with its other opponents ending game with 1:1 draw did provide some hope for them to be fighting for at worst 3rd spot which would led them to come out from group. Turkey did have opportunity to go through mistakes which been made against Italy and even more importantly to regain motivation which could be affected from Italy side and seeing how Wales did perform against Switzealand with all respect to opponents did get some confidence for this game even through Wales for sure would be expected to provide strong performance with providing pressure to them. Still, Turkey would need to provide its own game with being side to control game and provide pressure to opponent.

Turkey would need to get at worst draw but it is capable without doubt to get win even confident one against Wales.

Wales would show organised game against Turkey.

Even through Wales doesnt provide performance which it did during Euro 2016 and is not expected to get into that level, its need to be admitted that it did provide strong focus and organisation against Wales which led them to get draw.

As been noted level of game which been shown against Switzealand were not very impressive but factor of focussing into game and still fighting for position and opportunities would be seen as plus which without doubt would go into their hand. Another advantage is that Wales did play against Switzealand in Baku which means it didnt travel but this as been noted would be also disadvantage as Turkey would be coming like at home due of strong support from Azerbaijan due of cultural and historical connections which been affected grown even more due of political reasons. Still, Wales would likely provide strong defensive game with looking for counter-attacks and Turkey needs to be aware of this game against Wales and show performance accordingly and creatively.

With being side which did get point it would be feeling confident against Turkey and provide some pressure to them.

Italy does come as strong favourites against Switzealand.

With Italy likely providing very strong performance which it did shown against Turkey and in other games before, then it would be expected for them to dominate and control against Switzealand.

With Italy showing itself as one of the main favourites to win title with how it performed against Turkey, it would be expected for them to show similar game while main question is how Switzealand would respond. Without doubt, for Switzealand would be main focus to provide strong defence without letting Italy to get full control and looking for counter-attacks which were not managed from Turkey if it wants at least to get draw from such game if it would concede. Of course, from Turkey perspective it would be more advantegous for Italy to win as it would be now focussing into 2nd spot in the group.

Its been noted that side which would get point from Italy would get extra point/s but its hard for Switzealand to do so when judging from Wales game.
