What happened in Turkish football today? 23/06/2021

Fatih Karagumruk has transferred injured player Raniya Baniya.

Fatih Karagumruk player Raniya Baniya had an operation after being transferred on previous day with being expected to be starting training session which is been unsual decision from club to transfer player which been injured before hand.

It needs to be noted that Fatih Karagumruk is showing with such transfer strong trust towards player who is being half Italian and half Turkish and hence continuing to transferring player which did compete in Italy as he did play in 2nd division side. Even through not much known from player, such action from side does provide view that he has high level potential for club which would be aiming to carry on at least strong performance in previous season possibly fighting for Conference League spots as long as it will not experience 2nd season syndrome. While big clubs tend to keep away from problematic players in sense of injuries, Fatih Karagumruk did provide trust and hence player would like to respond accordingly after being recovered.

As been noted, it does look like Fatih Karagumruk is showing trust to players and time would show if he would be providing response accordingly later.

Basaksehirspor has transferred Anderlecht player Peter Zulj.

Basaksehirspor which without doubt would have an aim not repeat disastrous previous season and fighting for top place did transfer Anderlecht player Peter Zulj who did show some good performance at Goztepe during previous season where he been loaned.

Showing strong and confident performance at Goztepe previous season, such transfer would also mean that it would not have issue with getting used to Super League as been noted he did show good confident strong performance, scoring number of goals for Goztepe. Club to get into competitive level would need to get even more transfers without doubt, but this move would provide big help for at least to have better performance compare to previous season. Therefore, there would be high number of expectations from him which he would have capacity to fulfill without doubt as it clear that Zulj did enjoy his time in Turkey as he moved to Basaksehirspor.

As been noted Basaksehirspor to improve from past season needs to get very good transfers and Zulj is being right one to achieve this aim.

Blaming loss to Italy in openner for other 2 poor performance is wrong perspective and psychology.

Going back to unsuccessful performance of Turkey at Euro 2020 which been surprising for all Turkish and international followers, its been noted that everyone involved with team blames to poor game against Italy but this view is very wrong if it wants to compete in major tournaments.

It is true that Italy provided very strong performance against Turkey with more preventing opponent to play its own game, providing strong game which proved them to be main favourite for title, however not responding to such loss should be questioned. Following Switzealand during press conference, one of the Turkish journalists did ask that main focus is been given to Italy game due of poor performance, but Switzealand also lost to Italy in similar manner but provided good game against Turkey. Reason for this has been that Switzealand has led Italy game to be stayed behind and getting lessons from that loss provided its strong game in next game while Turkey has failed to do so. Main reason, is emotionality of team which it couldnt overpass and been main reason both for good and bad results. Turkey needs to find ways how to bounce back and solution without doubt is being with head coach. Hence, Senol Gunes stating he is taking all blame for bad result is entirely true in this manner.

You lose and you win in football, and you could lose badly or with showing strong game but here it is important to respond from such outcomes. Germany did just that after very poor game against France during Portugal game, Denmark did that when entering to Russia game with 0 points. Turkey needs to learn this without doubt.
