What happened in Turkish football today? 03/04/2020

Super League will not restart before June.

TFF has announced that earliest date for Super League to be resumed will be early June with taking account that teams preparation beforehand has been taken account which is without stating is still could be seen pretty optimistic view.

Taking account that preparation period for clubs would be taking place for at least 2 weeks, does show that  TFF are showing strong hope that situation with Covid19 which only been forecasted due of unprove expectation that virus would go into reduction and control during May even through as been noted several times is unclear as noone knows how virus would be acting in upcoming period. Another note of this is been from decision from UEFA making it clear that it hopes and detirmined to end season until Autumn. Noting that, we are seeing from Premier League decision to postpone season until further notice rather then providing specific dates. Even through it does provide uncertainty to clubs, it does been seen as good decision due of current situation.

It is clear why many league want to complete season, but once again is being one who provides all decision to footballing community right now.

Contracts which end on May are very likely to be extended.

Another subject area which without doubt has been actively discussed right now is reduction of salaries and also what would be done with contract which would be ended on May especially if league would be resumed.

Even through this seems to be very talkative subject, there is my view pretty straight-forward solution even through to make it into reality might not as simple as it sounds. Foremost, if season would be resumed or even if it wouldnt in summer, there is high posibility that this summer transfer window could be cancelled due of economical issue among travelling which does look to be taking into account. With football season is not being over until either federation announces that season cancelled or would be played, contract should be continued. Contacts are being signed into season based and thats why it tends to end in May which is month of season conclusion. Therefore, either by freezing or extending contract until at least July possibly with reduction seems to be most reasonable decision. Taking aside money issue, players would not be too against as their would not be able to have transfer negotiations in healty manner too.

For me, this seems to be only option and its hard to see other solutions in this circumstances for me at least.

Virus dominates whole life right now.

As could be seen from this blog, it does look like footballing world would be totally different after Covid19 would be over as we could see some changes, and hence football community needs to be patient in this period.

Even through as been noted above to do some plans could at least provide some guideline of what to wait to clubs, players and journalists, it is clear as been noted in recent our posts all of this and other factors in society has been led by virus and it doesnt seem to be solution even for close future, with this being in summer is not even certain. Once again, there is expectation that virus would go into reduction but again apart of reasonable but key word here unproven thinking that its seasonal virus while some do state it has same effect during whole year. Even through its important to follow some statistical condition, it does look like most reasonable is wait how virus would act in future.

Therefore, right now everyone needs to wait how virus would behaving and act according at zeitgeist.
