What happened in Turkish football today? 15/04/2020

Optimistic view about restart of the season in June is getting less and less.

Optimistic view from Turkish football community which includes coaches and players for season to be started on start of June is slowly getting less and less to be case especially due of events which took place before and after weekend curfew.

With weather being good after curfew, and before that 2 hours prior announcement has led for high number of people to come out which does provide fear for some people that number of cases could be risen, with circumstances of this behaviour to become clear in duration of 1-3 weeks, with some signs could become clear during this week. Genclerbirligi head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu did state that those signs does provide worrying image while Trabzonspor head coach that damage arleady been done and its unlikely for league to be restarted with such circumstances. It is especially crucial from Cimsir this statement since his club has been among ones which demand for league to be continued.

There would be meeting on 1st May to discuss about fate with on that days situation in country would be much clear for sure.

Younes Belhanda has agreed for reduction of salary.

Even through as been stated in previous posts, there is no single announcement about reduction of salary from players, it is reported that Galatasaray player Younes Belhanda is willing to go for reduction.

With club players Selcuk Inan and Radamel Falcao will not issue any problems with reduction of salaries,  Younes Belhanda is also reported to be positive about reduction of salaries right now due of Covid 19 case and does show that this issue looks to be solved at Galatasaray without much big circumstances with most players. Meanwhile, as been case with some clubs, club would consider to terminate contracts with its players who would not be accepting reduction but most players seem to show understanding of issue in this matter.

Therefore, with Feghouli is reported to be agreeing for reduction and being 3rd player it is also known that no player at team considers to provide much issue on this matter.

Foreign players will be reluctant to play in Turkey and other countries outside their motherland due of Covid19.

Due of Covid 19 outbreak, and even if it would be taken into control, it is expected that most player would be reluctant to play outside their country due of family and emotional circumstances.

If it would be case, it would especially effect to Turkey as right now it has very high foreign players and hence especially with signing new players would be especially hard due of this reluctance. This blog for some days does mention that it does look like teams would need to focus into academy and generally to domestic players economically but right now circumstances could even force them to do so. With future of how virus would behave in Turkey is being in worried image due of scenes in past days in the city this could also effect for foreign players to arrive for sure.

So it does look that with current circumstances would need to focus into their future with focussing towards domestic product rather then foreign players.
