What happened in Turkish football today? 13/04/2020

Basaksehirspor CEO Goksel Gumusdag has been discharged from hospital.

Basaksehirspor CEO Goksel Gumusdag who has got positive test for Covid 19 3 weeks ago has been discharged from hospital and has recovered fully from this virus which is without being very pleasant news.

With football community in Turkey more or less been reported to be getting positive results from this virus, we now getting very pleasant news from this personalities as most of them has shown pretty calm and without complications recovery even through it wasnt easy period for them all when coming to mentally aspect. Meanwhile, as it is know that we would be entering to possibility of cases to be going up in upcoming period of time and hence it is especially important for everyone to stay at home and this includes people involved in this sector.

We are getting therefore some pleasant news from football community and hope that this country would be going through this virus period in calm manner and end in short period of time as possible.

Galatasaray are close to make salary reductions with players.

Galatasaray player Radamel Falcao is been reported to be willing to reduce salary from 5 million euro to 3.5 million euro during next season due of economical circumstances we are getting at football community.

This blog has been mentionining about reports that high number of player are willing to reduce salaries but so far there hasnt been official statement which does show that amount of reduction does seem to be problematic mainly due of factor that clubs has been in economical crises before virus and therefore using this situation to reduce as less as possible. There is reports that club considers to continue its contracts with Onyekuru, Lemina and Donk only if players would accept 50% reduction which does show situation we are at. Positive note for club is being that club players are considering to reduce their salaries and should be making in short period of time for sure.

Therefore, it would be reasonable for Galatasaray to officially salary reductions during this week for sure.

If cases would raise, league would not start soon.

If only few weeks ago most clubs did make it clear that their would like for league to restart early June, this perspective did been changed lately even through some parts still state that this season should be completed.

With number of cases rising each day and also of possible circumstances for people coming out into streets 2 hours before curfew, does lead for football community and rest of the society to look into developments in much more realistic manner. If circumstances of that night would turn into unwanted expectation to get into reality would mean that Turkey, which situation in all fairness is not being great, would become even worser and would provide much more serious issues in upcoming months which hence would affect whole Turkish society, including football and could raise huge question if season would be competed for sure.

Right now whole country, or at least section which aware of what virus is capable of, are in nervous expectation of circumstances from Friday night.
