What happened in Turkish football today? 12/04/2020

Fenerbahce expects to announce reduction of salaries next week.

There are reports that high amount of Fenerbahce players has accepted to get reduction of their salaries due of Covid 19 with reports that deal between them and administration would be made next week.

With Emre Belozogu being captain of the club has taken leading and role model position in this topic with having talks other players and also being among first players to accept reduction, even through according to reports neither of the players has raised any issues regarding this topic which did provide administration of the side very satisfied. Now its question how much this salaries would be reduced which is expected to be taken place during negotiations between players and administration in duration of the week.

As been mentioned above, it is expected that deal could be made within members which could mean that it could become 1st club in Super League to reduction of salary.

Season could be cancelled if things would go as it going now.

With TFF and some of the clubs are currently being optimistic about leagues to be assumed in June, Besiktas administrator Adnan Dalgakiran seeing it even not possible to have any games played during whole year.

It needs to be noted that optimism between UEFA and whole sporting community is getting less and less right now with many tournaments outside of football are either being cancelled or postponed, with tennis almost ending its half season and with taking popularity of football it does seem to be very unlikely that even leagues would be resumed, it would be played with supporters. Therefore, hope of football season to be concluded with all of the federations are intending to finish season but in same time need to put health into priority and this would be motivate if it would be resumed or not.

Right now virus still controls everyday life in Turkey and there are talks for measures to become stricter and this would have direct impact into football world.

Clubs need to focus now to academy.

It has been discussed in recent weeks actively about how clubs would be focussing with its squad in near future due of situation of Covid 19 in financial perspects as it does look like all focus would be given to academy.

Continuing with yesterday entry, it does look like for all clubs there is no other option rather then provide strong focus into academy players when building squads and focus into self-production. This talks it needs to be noted did take for very long time now due of situation, and with Covid 19 making things worser it would not made it easier. Clubs need to forget about signing expensive players and provide all focus to what it has at academy and if done proberly could help to build strong sides for future and national team for all clubs.

Whole world would be reset after Covid 19 will be defeated, and it would be case for clubs also.
