What happened in Turkish football today? 16/04/2020

Fatih Terim has got negative test from Covid 19

Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim has provided positive news of getting negative test for Covid 19 which has been his 1st such outcome with getting virus and did provide strong and positive look when he announced it in social media.

Fatih Terim became most highly known personality from Turkish football community and to some extend did raise even more focus in community and also whole society regarding of Covid 19 even through it is clear that some people still not aware of seriousness of this issue. As been noted, in previous posts we are recieving some positive news back-to-back from everyone who has been infected in football world, even through it is not similar case to everyone in this country which some worry that  number of cases would go into raise. Still, recovery of Terim would be seen by many as positive news and reason to be optimistic right now.

Terim recovery still would provide motivation at least to Galatasaray club with players continuing training sessions at home in this period.

Necip Uysal became first player to accept salary reduction at Besiktas.

It became clear that Besiktas player Necip Uysal has become only player in the club who has agreed for reduction of salary which even through individual stance made club satisfied, it did felt to be dissapointed from collective standpoint.

Due of economical condition of the team, Besiktas as been noted has been having problems which made things even worser and didnt manage to provide payments for its player for some months. In fact, this unpaid salaries does raise main problems since players dont mind for reduction in future payments but does demand for unpaid to be provided fully, which on their perspective does have this right. Besiktas meanwhile did expect for reduction of salary to be led by Burak Yilmaz, as him being captain but so far their didnt get answer for him.

Club from now on would be hoping that Necip Uysal decision would be role model to follow suit as Besiktas continues negotiations with players on this issue.

Trabzonspor all players will accept salary reduction.

Even through Trabzonspor didnt discuss actively with its players regarding of salary reductions, it is been reported that whole squad would not create issues when offers would be given.

It needs to be noted that when coming to providing donation against Covid 19, Trabzonspor did provide some high amount of donations from their part to families and health workers and since this news that players would not be providing issues when coming to reduction o salaries should not be seen as huge surprise but needs to be praised with recieving some players are not showing strong interests for doing this action. With negotiations continuing with players, it is expected that deal would be made soon.

Trabzonspor actions if true should be role model towards all players both in Turkey and around world right now.
